The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Gooooooood morning!
Did everyone have a great weekend? Hope so!
Ours was quiet- which was really nice. I didn't get tons of stuff done, but I was able to get a bit of scrapping in.
Today we are off to South Jersey for Scott's Lyme dr. He has been feeling really good recently and I hope that we are able to get to the next stage in his treatment.

Trudy- do warm compresses help the pain at all? Hope that you feel better. Pepper cheese soup? Is that like bell pepper or black pepper? Anything with cheese is yummy!
If you need soup recipes I have a ton. I love making soup this time of year.

Linda S- Hey there!!

Meg- Yikes! I have a hard time living in confusion which is one reason I have been so cranky the past week or so. When I make F-W's stuff, the whole downstairs becomes just piles of supplies, packaging, finished products etc. What are your IL's attempting to do with all of the stuff out of the covers? Glad you were able to escape for a bit.
As for the CU/designer issue. Geez, that is tough.....on the one hand it is totally not right, and the person who made the stuff has a right to know. But I wouldn't want to get in the middle- is there any way you could do it anonymously? I don't know how designers are- could this designer talk about you behind your back and ruin your future sales and all that? Maybe someone else has a better perspective.

Katrina- you can do it!!! IMHO- in that sort of field- B's are really really good!!! I don't know how you study, but when I was in college, I used flash cards. I made up flash cards for just about everything and I brought them everywhere with me. They forced me to figure out which areas I knew rock solid and which ones I need more work on. I would weed out the ones I knew and stick with the ones I needed more time with. My roomies still tease me that i would be at a party with a beer in one hand and my cards in another. Heck- it worked. I graduated Highest Honors in 2 degrees ;)
Good luck!!

Posting quickly- gotta get Scott out of bed- i could have sworn he was up, but now- its all quiet up there.

i am back--

Clara- how is the trip going? I am like you in that when I travel, I just want to get there. No stops no waiting around. But-- I am totally not a camel! LOL I won't drink anything, not even coffee if I think I am going to have to stop somewhere to pee. But mostly, I don't travel more than 3 hour trips, so its not horrible.

I know I have said it a few times, but I am really glad that you and your family got away a bit. Mini-vacation, right? You all deserve it!

Laurie- how wonderful that you are, being able to dance to your wedding song again. Our song was Thank You by Led Zeppelin and no one can dance to that- we didn't care though :D
Cannot wait to see pics of you!

ME- fun and busy weekend for you! Hope this week is a bit quieter.

hugs and loves to allof you!

Good morning. Quick drive-by here. Just have to tell you that the gallery is fantastic! I spent some real quality time there yesterday and even managed to scrap a layout. Don't know when that last happened! Even installed PSE 9 (I was still using PSE 4). I think that I'm going to love it!

Short week so I'm happy, happy, happy! And thankful (in honor of Thanksgiving)! Spending the day at my boss' house with an all day planning meeting. So need to hit the shower...the drive is further!

I'll try to check in again this evening! Hope everyone has a good week!

Hi ladies, happy Monday! Short work week here so I an feeling good! Hoping it goes quick. Looking forward to seeing my fam and my mom's cooking!!

Chris- hope the doctor's visit goes well for Scott!

Linda - yes for short work weeks!!

Hi to everyone else!!

Well, yesterday proved to be just like the last two or three weeks!!! NEVER SITTING STILL FOR A MINUTE!!

We left here at 8:30ish and did not get back home until 3 or so....

Did not get my car back until about 6:30 and $200 later!!! BUT....I have all new brakes and my rear wiper works again!! YAY!!! He did some other minor maintenance things too...so I am good for a while!! I LOVE MY HONDA!!! hehehehe..guess y'all couldn't tell that!!!

So.....last night Traci dropped Jaiden off because Jesse has been sick since Friday night...poor baby...she said Jaiden was in need of some attention...LOL...WELL WHY WOULD SHE BRING HER TO NANA'S HOUSE THEN??? :pound: She is such a little doll!!! and boy does her PawPaw just spoil her little butt rotten!!! ;)

So I have her all day today, and I though it was going to be a bit hairy, but found out this morning BY EMAIL, that Connor will not be here all week, because his PawPaw is keeping him and his sister as she is out of school all week.....REALLY???????? For today it works out really, but I can see that she may have overlooked it last week...BUT...yesterday she should have KNOWN because she had to plan for the kids....she could have called me...I suppose I should be used to this by now...but come on....YOU LADIES THAT HAVE KIDS IN CHILDCARE...Do you call the sitter or daycare to let them know???

Morning my friends, It's :smow: again today and quite cold for the West Coast. Such a change from last year, we didn't even get the snow shovel out of the shed last year and now it's only November and we are busy with the shovelling!! Work today, but not until noon. Will have to fill up on Advil before heading out, sure hope I hear from this Specialist soon!!

Nana Linda - I love my Honda too!! I have an Odyssey and I just love it. Although I would like to perhaps get something smaller now that I don't have Heather to transport around, but it does come in handy when the grandkids are home!! Not fair that you are not being informed when changes are happening to your sitting schedule, some people just don't get it. Hang in there sista!

Chris - yes warm compresses do help, you are so sweet to be concerned. The soup has cayanne pepper in it, although you don't have to use the pepper, I don't use too much as I don't like really hot spices. I will give you a holler if I need a recipe though, thanks!!

Linda S - Short work week yay!! Those are the best! Hope your meeting goes well!

Me - Enjoy your short work week too!

To everyone else, have a great Monday and I hope to get in here again tonight to do some scrapping. Haven't posted anything for a while, but have been busy working on the son's calendar so will put a few of those in the gallery later. Gotta run

Hey girlies...I'm back among the living..sorta!! LOL!!

I did 10 advent calendars in 5 days...amazing!! I still have buttons and tabs and my tags to add, but otherwise, they are done. I literally have done nothing except those since Wed! with the exception of Thursday taking care of babies, Saturday we went to a wonderful marriage seminar and then celebrated Emma's birthday in the night (sewed in the afternoon!!), and then church yesterday morning. It's amazing how limiting your computer time can really make you productive!! LOL!! It's kinda sad, though, cause I love my computer time!! LOL!!

So this week is going to be soooo glorious for several reasons. We decided to go to Mr Gorgeous' aunt for Thanksgiving, which is totally new for us. We usually have everyone over and I cook the turkey (you've seen pics!! LOL!!), but this year, since we did that early thanksgiving, we (mr gorgeous and i) felt really good about going to his aunt's.I'm soooo excited that I only have to clean for the 6 of us...NO PRESSURE!!! I really need that this week after last week's focusing and the house is a wreck, and the pantry is completely empty, and i have 20 loads of laundry to fold! (whine, whine!!) I'm whining with a thankful heart!! Can you hear it?????? :)

My last craft show is next week so I have plenty of time to prepare, and I have plenty of time to plan for my BLACK FRIDAY sale! I'm soooo excited!!!

Ohhhh and I have to tell you...Mr Gorgeous' contract was basically up last week. So we were sweating majorly at the beginning of the week. So he goes up to the office to see if there is anymore work for him. The guy in charge tells another guy that he is available!! And omgoodness, he is now on three different projects that will for sure last through January. He is scheduled to fly down to Trinidad next week, then to Vienna the week after, then back to San Fran the week after that! Then he'll be home for the holidays and probably have to travel twice in Jan!! So we will have Christmas!! yay!! (I was worried for a minute there!!) Please pray with me he gets a job with another company that he is in dialogues with right now, so he can be home!! (I love him home, but I'm not worried about this traveling at all, since now we can eat!!)

If you feel badly that he has to work so hard, you can do your Christmas shopping in my Etsy store (once I get those items up there!!LOL!!)!! It's my new marketing campaign...BRING MR GORGEOUS HOME TO SALLY!! LOL!!! just kidding! he's gonna work no matter what...he's great like that!! :)

Okay, can you tell I've soooo missed you guys????? I have to go to the grocery store, pick up the house, sew a little more then package and mail these gorgeous calendars out today!! yay!!

and thanks, girlies, for being here all the time no matter what! I am sooooo thankful for all of you!!!! and i love you all!!

Chris -- Woo! That's so great he's been doing well with treatment! I hope the appointment goes well!
Thanks for the advice -- I discovered another copy of another designer by the same offending designer, so I'm going to hand the matter over to her. She's kind of a legend in the community, so I know her rep wont be ruined!

Linda -- Congrats on upgrading PSE!!! I heard there's TONS of differences just between 8 & 9 , have fun!!!!!!!

Mary Ellen -- Hooray for a short week :)

Nana Linda -- Eeek, car repairs suck -- but at least it didn't break the bank!!!! Sorry about the whole childcare stuff, my parents always let our daycare ladies know our schedules.

Trudy -- Aw, I hope you hear from the specialist ASAP! I'd hate to have that jaw still bugging you during Christmas & New Year's!

Sally -- PRAISE GOD!!! Wow, that's such a huge relief!!!! I'm so glad he was able to get work!!!! What exactly is it that he does?
Proud of you girl! Keep sewing!!! :cheer2:

Ugh, so I was camping out in bed all day yesterday, right? Because it was chaos everywhere else & no one would leave me alone? Well I leave my room around 8pm to make dinner & some tea... and I can't find ANY of my stuff. The counters were a little more clear, like some things were put away -- but ALL of my tea & coffee things were missing. Turns out my FIL put them in the ONE cupboard THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE to reach ANYTHING out of, and on the TOP SHELF! I'm so short, I can barely reach for things in the bottom of that cupboard.
So what do they tell me to do? Use the step stool from now on. Uhm, that's kept in the garage... and I have tea several times a day. Not happening. I didn't say anything, but I made sure it was clear I was upset. I guess it upset my MIL too, because some of her things were up there, so she made him take it all down and put back into a drawer for me.
Gahhh, this happens regularly, so I have a rule DON'T TOUCH MY STUFF! because most of the time my stuff either gets thrown away or disappears for 75 days & 10 hours.

Like my wedding shoes. They showed up 75 days & 10 hours AFTER the wedding.

I was frantically trying to buy new ones at target 10pm the night before the wedding.

ANYWAYS, I'm off to go to the store to get canning jars to make vanilla extract & then bake some almond biscotti's. I'm giving away tons of freebies on my blog between now & Christmas, my marketing campaign! So far it's working. Yesterday I got like 5gb+ of goodies for only $20, so I have to organize all of those in Bridge, I'm going to be busy!

We always have to call and let them know in advance ... do you charge her for the time he is not there? We were always charged for Christian's spot whether he was there or not. I don't understand how she couldn't have not known ...

Ladies, I'm in total freak out mode... turns out my feelings about the shop I'm in weren't unjustified/paranoid/or just me. Another designer gave her 2-weeks notice and had herself completely blocked from the site, yet the shop is still selling her stuff. I'm so glad I joined the designer's forum at DST, otherwise I never would of known.

I'm going to go send out a ton of applications now, no time for biscottis.

evening all - mia today- got up and used the treadmill and that took away my O time- but with all the holiday baking, it was necessary - I get tomorrow and Thursday off. Funny work story- I was checking the work calendar for 2011 and got to May and saw the following: FIRE 425- this was a problem for me, since my # at work is 425- I went and asked my boss- are you firing me in May and put it on the calendar for all to see? She said- no- and explained what it was, that if there was a fire code and work and if I was not working with a patient, I was to go to see how it is handled.

I need to go to bed - it is early and I am exhausted!

okay - storms are heading my way- with thunder, so I guess I will shut down and go snuggle in bed! Be back tomorrow night!

Sally, so glad to hear that Mr. Gorgeous got work for December. Praying that he gets the job where he will be home. That's hard!

Meg, sorry about the shop. That's got to be discouraging.

Nana Linda, I agree with ME...we had to pay whether or not the kids were in daycare!

Laurie, enjoy early bedtime.

Finished the exam and have no idea how I did, it was that bad! Now we all have to wait till next monday to find out our grades. Great stressor over the holiday. I'll try not to let it get to me though. I'll hop on more tomorrow. I think DH fell asleep watching his show. I have been a night owl lately. I just don't feel like sleeping yet. I guess I should get him to bed though since he has to be up by 5 or so. Not quite sure. I cick him out of bed when the alarm goes off and go back to sleep till mine wakes me up!

ok I'm slow. How do I add a blinkie to my signature?
