MOndays would be a whole lot nicer if I were better able to sleep at night. I am in one of my insomniac loops. The past 3-4 nights I have had such bad nights' sleep. Last night-- up at 11, then 1am, until about 4, then back up at 4.30, alarm off at 5. I feel sooooo sick!
I wish I could stay in my pjs all day since not only is it Monday, it is raining. But alas! (such a funny word, alas!) I have to go food shopping, just a lovely prospect feeling so nauseous and crabby.

It took a while but Cait and my mom finally found 2 pairs of jeans for her and she picked out the boots she wants for Christmas. So that was successful. Happy for small favors! She is also starting to look for prom dresses, assuming that she and Brendan will be together in June ;) It is going to be a more-brutal-than-usual May and June. Scott will be turning 18 in May. He is going to Leah's Sr. Prom, Cait is going to Brendan's Senior Prom, then Scott, Leah and Brendan will all be graduating. Throw in about 8 more family b-days and anniversaries in May and June, and I will be doing this: :faint:
we also found out that Leah's grad day is the same day as Scott's. I was really hoping to go to her's since she doesn't have a lot of family. :(

So these are my crazy ramblings for today. Guess I should get more :tea: and :tape:

Me Me Monday- I need a nap!!!!

always chatty at the O!!
Good morning. I wish I could get you a cup of coffee Chris. I'm sure your cup will be full all day today. I woke up an hour early this morning. I'm not looking forward to this afternoon. I'm sure I'll be in zombie mode.

It's good to be home although dh wants to act like it was so hard and missed a few things that needed doing because he didn't think they were important. Boys!! They like to act like they don't need us but then when we're not there everything falls apart. It was great to see the kids when I got back. They were so excited.

So, today I'm jumping right back into my life. Opened the stand this morning then headed to work. Not sure where I'm working today. Hopefully the OR but I doubt it.

Well, I hope all if you have a great day. Hugs.

Laurie- sounds like you had a very productive crocheting week! How did your internet hold up in the wind?

Clara- that is awesome link to the recipe! I usually buy 1-2 small things from Tastefully Simple b/c it is so expensive and the beer bread is so good. I bet for the cost of a whole bag of flour, I can make a lot of loaves of bread. Usually I would throw in a can of coors light but I didn't have any of that. The Oktoberfest had some nice flavor with the whole wheat mix. I will def. check out the other ideas, cinnamon roll sounds good!

So happy that you were able to spend a week with your family and sending hugs since I am sure that today will be a bit of a let-down for you

Nancy- whew!! That was a close one for the train! My friend and I were able to get in a walk yesterday-- foggy and drizzly but we did it.:) Not today thought way too rainy for that.

Phyllis- I really cannot imagine not eating bread and pasta. My Italian soul cries for you.
I haven't heard of that with the EPA and stoves. I don't see how they could even enforce that if that wanted too.

Trudy- hope that you had a nice visit with your brother and that he has a safe trip back to AU. Thx for the recipe- I will have to try them out. :)

Hi J!!!!

Linda - how was your Nov Gathering? Hope it was lots of fun!
Coffee party was good! Can't wait to get some new flavors for Christmas.

Morning O fam- my internet is still like playing the slots- if I click on the link will it open or hang- yes I will call them again today- a week of daily calls and they know it is not working as they can see on their end and still not fixed. I am trying to find another provider that will not cost me an arm and a leg and will give me consistent service. So that is this weeks challenge. I may try dishnet satellite internet- anyone have it? Off to get ready for work.

hiya. it's still dark outside, so i can't tell whether any of my trees are on the ground yet. i really didn't hear a lot of wind overnight. just something that sounded weirdly like something i should be afraid of, around 10 p.m. well, maybe it knocked all the leaves off the trees. it is always so intense when weather fronts move through. the Midwest really got hammered. tornadoes are such random, mindless killers and destroyers.

Chris, with ya on the cut-up night's sleep. hope you have an opportunity to close the door and have a nap today. MAKE the time, kiddo. you don't have to feel bad about me and pasta. there is this WONDERFul brand called "Dreamfields" that is regular semolina pasta that has been engineered to digest further down the digestive tract, so you don't get the whopping carb punch to your blood sugar levels that you do with regular pasta. it was the best day of my recent life when i discovered that stuff!

Clara, how's your business doing? it is a lot of work keeping it up and running, along with having another job? and men are hopeless, i'm convinced. no matter how many times i ask Hubb to remember to do something, he ALWAYS "forgets." then i jump up and down  and then he gets mad because i

Hi, Jacqueline!! hope you're doing great. i have to check out your recipe!

today it's Sam's Club for the "Buy Giant Vats of Stuff" run. then i also have to go regular grocery shopping. so, double GAAAH!!! gotta UPS a package and also get to Home Depot. so, for a day of mine, it's a BUSY one! i think the wind and rain have stopped, so at least i won't be doing all this with my umbrella blowing inside out....

OK. off i go. start your week off with a smile. or at least a mad grin.

Hi, Laurie. did you guys get a lot of wind?

yes and a tornado warning- don't think it actually formed and it was well north of us. Most frustrating that my internet chose that moment to go out so I could not follow it on live radar - yes I am looking for a new provider.

good morning woke up to clouds rain and some wind but now 90 min later the sun is out and them temp is up to mid 60s. Feeling so bad for those dealing with tornados. Had a wonderful day with son, DIL and DH. Got him his new iPhone and then had lunch at Pizza Uno. Was really fun just catching up and of course what is better than making your kid happy. And my super DIL Amanda gave my 10 plastic puck holders so my collection of autographed NJ Devils pucks. Came home and got in a good walk with my girlfriend. It was a mild day but lots of fog.

Chris sorry your sleeping is not going well. I know there are just those nights when I wake up and my brains starts working and I just can't go back to sleep. You are going to be so busy this spring but I such milestones will be fun to see and enjoy!

Laurie that is scary about the tornado warning! Glad you all are good!

Phylis have a great day - hope the shopping goes well!

Clara glad you are back home and I am sure the family missed you. Glad the coffee stand is going so well!

Have a great day all!

Morning and Happy Monday to you all! Dark and Drizzly here today, but hope to fit a walk in sometime this morning anyway.

Chris - Sorry you are experiencing a crappy day today, we really should all gather together in the middle of the night when we can't sleep! I think that there are many of us!! I was right there with you tossing and turning for the majority of the night! So today we will have to keep the coffee cups full :tea: Nice that your Mom had the patience to go clothes shopping with your daughter!! At least that is one less thing for you to have to do!! Hope you can catch a nap sometime today!!

Clara - Must be hard to adjust to the big time change after your long flight!! Yes sometimes men are big helpless babies, or at least thats what they try to convince us that they are!! :mmph: Hope you get to work in the O.R. today!!!

Laurie - Hope you can find a good internet provider that can give you better service than the one you have now!!!! I would be pulling my hair out and doing some screaming at someone by now!!!

Phylis - Hope your trees are all still standing!! How scary to hear those strange sounds at night, when you can't check outside to see what it is!! We used to hear plow winds late at night on the prairie, that was bad enough and it sounded like it would take the roof right off of the house!! :fear: Oh did you see the link that I gave to you for the Eagles music Blu Ray?? You should really check it out, its fabulous!! Sounds like you have a busy day today!! Hope you manage to get it all done!!

Nancy - I bet your son was thrilled with his new iPhone!! wish someone would buy me one!! LOL Sounds like you had a very enjoyable day together!! Hope your day today is great too!

Had a wonderful time with my brother and SIL last night!! They were thrilled with their calendar! Now that I have that project finished, its time to get busy on the calendars for my kids. I really should start doing these throughout the year so its not such a last minute project for me. :hurt: so much scrapping to do and not enough time to do it!!! Ok off to have breakfast and then get busy!! Have a wonderful Monday everyone!!

Morning/Afternoon ladies! I feel so lost this morning and trying to play catch up since I was having a lazy weekend :frusty:

Trudy I know what you mean about putting things off till the last minute. I've been saying for MONTHS that I was going to make things like that as Christmas gifts and I had better get on it if I really intend to *sigh*

Hate that you girls had such bad weather yesterday but you're all safe and didn't get the damage and that I'm happy about!

Now I'm going to try and catch up and see what all I missed in my laziness this weekend
