Happy Monday!! Another gorgeous day in NJ and wow, I love seeing the sun. Even though the weekend flew by, I am delighted to see the blue sky and not be freezing mah butt off.
Did your weekend go as fast as mine did? I had to wake myself out of a dream last night and I thought it was still the weekend. I fell back asleep pretty quickly and right back onto the awful dream. Talk about being confused at 2 am. LOL

The day was lovely and I spent three hours cleaning out one (1!!!!!) overgrown section of the yard. I don't know how I am going to get to the rest of it, there is so much poison ivy and poison oak encroaching into the area. I was actually thinking that I might put on latex gloves and an old long-sleeve T-shirt that I wear when I paint. Toss it carefully in the garbage when I am done. I'd still need to get it over my head without touching my face... yeah, I am not quite sure how I will manage that. I planted my morning glory, marigold, and coriander seeds, clipped back the daffodils, and pulled up some dandelions that were taking over. I leave the dandelions in the lawn for the bees but they crowd out some of the other plants along the side.

Annnnnnd......It's official. Christopher is taller than me.:bawling: He is 12 yo and taller than me, sooooo unfair. The party was nice, two of my SIL's nephews were there with their babies. A three yo, a six-month-old, and a three-month-old. Lots of baby sounds. And smells hahaha! I had a few moments of wishful thinking and baby itch but it didn't last long. Caitlyn made sure of that.

I am going to be out of here early, Gary has an eye Dr appt this morning. He has the beginnings of diabetic retinopathy so he gets monitored closely. Last visit, he had a tough time driving home so I'm driving instead. It's too bright today and the office is too far for him to drive back safely.
Other than that, I need to clean out the fridge and get the Mother's Day brunch menu finished so I can place the grocery order. Both kids' work schedules are a mess this week- Caitlyn needs to work at the Arching Ceremony and at Commencement so she'll go in late and stay late. Scott who usually works 4 10-hours days is doing 5 8-hour days this week. Not a clue what his actual schedule is. Makes dinner planning a bit complicated.
I know, you have heard it all a million times before. Thank you for indulging me in complaining again and again.

Yikes. What will I be able to do for myself today? I would love to get some scrapping done. But there is this issue of lack of mojo. I can't even seem to get interested in any of the challenges and I usually *love* the challenges.

Have a fab day whatever you do! :cloud9-2:

@taxed4ever How was the kayaking!? And how are you feeling today? Not too stiff? Sounds like you and Linda had a gorgeous day to be on the water. ♥ Did your Gary get any good pics of you two?
Good luck reworking the turtle in your painting. It has to be frustrating when it's not quite right. Ugh, I forgot about making Mother's Day cards... I did three last week (Gary (3rd), Christopher (7th), and my nephew Dylan 5th) ). At least there are no birthdays this week. I have two the following week. Scott and BFF (21st and 22nd) Iyyyy yi yiiii Gotta love May... :knifehead:
I'd love to see a video of the book you made, how old is your nephew's baby?

@bcgal00 Oh no, that is awful that the bleach didn't work. :( Poor Jen, I bet she feels awful-- not that it is her fault, but she probably was thinking it was such a nice thing to do for you and now you can't even sleep in your own bed.
I hope that you are taking time to relax in between all of the other stuff. (Not that Remi will let you relax too long LOL)

@Cherylndesigns Please please please -- like the new hair stuff so I can give it a try. I have used a bunch of things from the Fructis curl line- not the one that you posted- but the curl cream, the mousse, and curl reviving spray and haven't been happy with them. I'd love to get something that works even if it a little more $$ because I would only use it when I was going out which is rare.
Can you send me Adrienne too? That would be rare as well but I could use a makeup magician. LOL!!!

@LSlycord Good to know that Syd is getting settled in Germany. What a crazy few weeks and more to come. I wish there was something I could do to help. Just keep breathing...
Sending you some huge hugs!! :grouphugyay:

@vickyday :thud: 311 pages!??! Oh my goodness- no wonder why you were pushing to get them uploaded for the sale! It will be amazing when you get them and can hold them in your hands. Very exciting!

xoxoxo to everyone who pops in today!

If you are going to throw the shirt away afterwards anyway, have your DH cut it off of you! That should keep the poison off your face!
How did Christopher like the album?

Good morning ladies. Quick in and out for me. I'm finishing up loading photos today, its around 4500 but 2000 are on my phone so easy uploads. Heading to the vet in a minute for dog shots, then the dog park for play time. The fence is going up today but one panel will be left off b/c the workers will be here tomorrow or Wed to put in the new grass and then finish the fence. We'll have to water the grass well in the morning and early evening so no dog time out there for another week or so during that time but at least mid day they can get out there.

The shellac sealer primer seems to have done the trick. We'll let it dry for a few more days and make sure the smell doesn't come back in the bedroom and if not, then at the end of the week we can repaint and hopefully that will be the end of it.

Gotta head out, HAGD everyone.

Good morning.

Chris @faerywings I'm so happy that your weather is finally nice and that you got to work in your yard. What awesome therapy, but please be careful about that poison ivy and poison oak. I would definitely have heavy gloves on and keep your upper body covered. I need to get out and do some work today too. That will me my MMM for today. They've been predicting rain for the last two days and we haven't gotten any, so I watered some yesterday thinking that would bring it on. It's beautiful today, so I definitely need to water some more. We all went to the Mexican restaurant for dinner last night. It's the best place and authentic - I love their brown rice and always get a cheese Quesadilla. We all split a big order of Churros.

I washed my hair yesterday and used the new product and I think I like it. I'm not SURE I like it a whole lot better than the Fructice, but if that didn't work for you, I'd definitely recommend it. It left my hair a little "lighter" feeling and as a fellow curlyhead, I know you'll understand what I'm saying. It's around $17, and the Fructis is about $6, as I recall. I got mine at Walgreen's. Have you ever tried the "Curly Girl" method? I started doing that several years ago and that's when I got onto the Fructis products. They have NO sulfates, and all that yucky stuff that strips your curl out. The method recommended Fructis products. The theory is that you use a tiny bit of shampoo (I just use it on my scalp) and way more conditioner. Then the curl leave in that I showed you the picture of. The videos are probably still on You Tube. You don't use a towel to wrap your wet hair - you use a T shirt. The LESS you do to it, the better it looks. I had to fuss with my bangs last night because they were "lighter" i.e. a little "straighter" and I had to use my curling iron on them to keep them out of my eyes. They could also need a trim, but I did have to fuss with them. All that being said, I think it might be worth trying - I don't know how coarse your hair is but read the label - it says for course hair. Also, this was my first time using it and I erred on the side of caution and probably didn't use enough of it.

. I am dragging myself around the house today, went to bed far too late and did not have a very good sleep. Our afternoon of kayaking went well! Although we had a few issues with getting the kayaks down to the wharf. Linda's cart was not big enough and her's kept sliding off of the cart. We figured out the best way to get in and out of the kayaks from the wharf and using a rope to keep them tight up against the dock was the way to go. Once we were finally in the water it was lovely and calm and we stayed out there for about an hour. So fun to see all the properties from another view and we even came across a piece of property that had 5 Alpacas grazing in the grass, who knew?? I am waiting for Linda's boyfriend Mark to send me the photos that he took. My DH has no clue how to run my iphone so he didn't get any photos of us. Today I need to finish my :laundry: and work on the painting, hopefully I will get it finished ,except for the finish coating that I need to do. I have to find out if the customer wants a resin finish or just a spray varnish on it. If its resin than I need to get that ordered right away. Maybe, just maybe I will have some inspiration to do a page, I sure have been in a slump lately.

@faerywings - Hope that your Gary's eye appointment goes well! Ohh no, now Christopher is taller than you are?? How the heck did that happen? Sounds like his Birthday Party was fun and I hope that you got in lots of baby cuddles while you were there. Yikes you have lots of cards to be made for this month! That's something else I need to put on my to do list today, sheesh the day will not be long enough once again!! :tongue3:. Hope you figure out a way to protect your face while getting rid of that awful poison ivy!! Perhaps a balaclava?? But you would probably faint from the heat LOL. It sure was nice to hear that you spent so much time out in garden in the sunshine though! Hope your drive is pleasant today and that you get to enjoy more summery weather today!

@vickyday - Seems you have a big to do list today also! Hope you get it all checked off and that you get to go for lunch with Mark! Wow 311 pages?? That is amazing! I bet you can't wait to get them!!

@bcgal00 - So sorry that the bleach did not work, poor Jen I bet she feels terrible. Hope you managed to get the products you need to get painting done , you will be wanting to sleep in your own bed again I am sure! Oh I now see that you did get the shellac primer and hooray for it working so far! I have been on line for so long as I was talking with Heather this morning that you and Cheryl have both posted this morning. LOL

@LSlycord - oh dear I hope that things go a bit smoother for you with the move. I bet you were happy to hear that your daughter made it safely to Germany, what a great experience for her! Sending you some good vibes that things get better with the move! :loveangel:

@Cherylndesigns - How nice to have a make up artist in the family!! I sure could use one of those!! Hope you are enjoying good weather and that your plants are all happy and thriving! Glad you like the new hair product! I used a really nice serum on my hair when we went to Cuba as my hair always gets so frizzy and outta control in the high humidity. I will have to see if I can find it, its been a long time since I used it, but it sure worked really well and did not leave my hair feeling heavy at all.

Ok I gotta get outta here and get busy with my list of things to do today! I hope everyone has a great day! :waving1

Good evening, Everyone.
I'll be honest. I haven't read everyone's posts yet. I just wanted you to know I'm thinking of all of you and hope all is well.
I have disappeared lately. Nothing personal. Just life and good weather. When not at work I've been out in the yard rehabbing all that winter mangled. lol ...and what beautiful weather it has been.

I shall return....
