Did everyone have a nice weekend and iNSD? I hope you did and I would love to see what everyone got and scrapped. :)

I didn't get much done in the scrap world. But I did get my office area a bit tidy, started my shopping list, and started out the window at the cold. rainy sky. yes, I did say that that the sun was out in the morning, but right after I posted that, it clouded over and rained on and off all day. we still have the heat on and we needed to put it up a degree at one point to get the chill out.
Today, the forecast is for sun and I do see the sun. However, it is also only supposed to be in the 50's. Right now, we are at 35* Ugh.

My poor garden plants aren't going to know what to do anymore.
Heck, *I* don't know what to do anymore. ha!!!

Today, we are off to the DMV and the Dollar Store. I have Christopher's album done, but he won't care about that until he is older. I want to get some outside toys/chalk/bubbles that a 6-yo will be happy about.
I also want to keep working on the Mother's Day gifts. I would love to have them done soon.

I am going to have to get all of that done before 2.30 when I become glued to C-SPAN for an IC hearing. ;)

Here's to all of you having a fantastic and happy day! :tea:

Nancy- I would have been pulling my hair out if I were you, getting woken up until 4 am. Don't mess with my sleep!
This weather is so darn strange! You and Luther got lucky with the timing of your walks. yay for more hockey and double yay to be able to watch hockey and scrap in a quiet house. You def. deserved that after the night before ;)
You are right, DMV shouldn't be too bad, not like the 4 hours I spent with both kids getting their licenses.

Trudy- Will y'all stop rubbing it in how late you sleep?? :pound JK! yeah, I am a bit jealous bit that is ok. Were you able to get all of your yard work cleaned up? How nice of SIL to make al of your veggies.
I am with you on the lack of scrap inspiration. I have only done three of this month's challenges. I want to scrap but I get so tired at the end of the day that my brain turns off. My fingers are crossed for no rain for you on your hike Wed.

Rae- your dinner sounds "yummy" (for meat eaters!). I made Chicken BLT's last night and I actually put a piece of bacon in mine, I haven't bacon in ages. Was The Accountant on Netflix or did you rent it? Maybe I will add that to our list at some point.
Ugh about the truck!! I hope that it is something very small and inexpensive (as if LOL)
I wish my parents would be able to laugh about their bickering. I adore my mom but she doesn't have that ability to tell when someone is joking or not, and my dad knows it and needles her to get her riled. So many of their arguments are utterly ridiculous.
Hope that you didn't procrastinate too much!

xoxo

good morning - well the sun is shining and that is awesome but the temps are only in the mid 40s. Way too chilly for this time of year! Yesterday was good as I got more scrapping done and watched hockey. Was really happy the Predators won as it will be their first time in the Western conference finals. Was amazed watching the Oilers rout the Ducks 7-1. It was just amazing to see the skill of the Oilers. Tonight is the Caps vs the Pens. Have many errands to do today. Today is pay property taxes, grocery shop, and get meds for Luther (just his monthly tick and flea drugs).

Chris I can't believe you had rain on and off. We had clouds but no rain. Glad you got some of your goals accomplished - a tidy office is great and the album done is and a lot of gifts made for Mother's Day. I would say that is pretty great!

Trudy yes Charles has his own place but spends the weekend with us doing laundry and eating. And he is being super annoying. Sorry about your heater and the woman not answering the email. Sounds like the time with you family was a lot of fun. A good walk after dinner is a smart idea.

Rae so glad the Accountant was great. I have not seen it but I heard good things about it. Sounds like you had a busy day. Enjoy the sun.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... It is a bit grey and gloomy this morning, a big change from yesterday! It was so nice outside and we spent the whole afternoon finishing up cleaning up the backyard. Power washing the deck and getting the patio furniture all cleaned and back up on the deck. Now to find some kind of a privacy screen so we don't have to look at the bad neighbours place. They have really let their property go and it looks so run down and messy. Today I am on the lookout for a good deal on a new Patio Heater (again!) So we can enjoy some nice quiet evenings on our front porch. The other day I found a cute outdoor sign that said "Life is Better On the Porch" so DH hung it up for us yesterday. It is much quieter on the front porch but it does not get the sunshine that the back does, so it will be nice to have the heater. Other than that I have to get a few more pages done for my sister and sent off to the printer.

Chris - It sounds to me like you had a pretty productive day yesterday! Sorry that you could not spend any of it outside though. Ugh on the cold temps, I sure hope that the weather improves for all of you very soon! Good luck at the DMV! Hopefully you will not have to wait too long! I know I was worried about all my plants because of the cold spring that we have also had, but thankfully I only lost one bush in the backyard. So we will have to replace that this year with something a bit more hardy.

Nancy - Wasn't that quite the Hockey game yesterday!! The Oilers just played amazing!! Have fun watching more hockey tonight! Good luck getting all of your errands done today and I hope that you and Luther can get out for a walk in some warmer temps soon!

Rae - Yuck on the truck troubles!! My DH used to have a very old Ford Truck when we lived in Saskatchewan and when the kids were still in school they would never let him drop them off in front of the school when he drove that truck LOL. He loved that ugly old thing, but we were very happy when we moved and decided it would never make the trip over the Rockies :becky: The Accountant was a great choice of movie to watch! DH and I saw it at the theatre and I am thinking of watching it again on Kodi. Hope that you have a good work day today!

I need to make another grocery list of all the things that I forgot to get at the store the other day. I knew that my shopping cart was a bit too empty the other day, darn it!! Oh well back to the store I go. Have a wonderful Monday everyone!!

Hi all...
Trudy...you sure were busy

Nancy- congrats to the Predators

Chris- good luck with the errands

I have not been on at all this entire weekend. my inlaws are staying with us as MIL can't take care of FIL and he needs 24/7 care. He is going to have his pacemaker battery replaced this week. He has a sitter for the day, then he comes back here. The nice thing is, my DD and DIL have been here all weekend and we had a great time. Yesterday was my birthday, so they cooked for me! Hope everyone enjoyed all the sales this weekend!

Good morning, ladies. The sun is shining which really brightens my mood in the morning. I wish I was at the trailer, sitting out on my deck, sipping coffee, reading my book and enjoying the sunshine. Soon though....we'll be out there this wkend, hopefully getting the chewed water lines fixed. I'm only going to go for a few days but I think Darrell will stay the week. He'll be on holidays. I will be working hard to get desk work done this week and continue the search for tax stuff. If D is gone next week it'll be easier for me to finish up the tax stuff with no distractions so I hope he stays out there for at least a few extra days if not the whole week.

Chris - hope the DMV isn't too bad. Don't get too stressed out listening to CSPAN this afternoon. We watched The Accountant on Kodi so not sure if it is on Netflix yet.

Sharon - so glad to hear you had a nice birthday and didn't have to cook.

Nancy - property tax...ugh... we have ours to pay in July. It is a small fortune that goes up every year. I always dread it as it really takes a chunk out of our savings.

Trudy - it must have been you that mentioned the movie before. It was the perfect movie for us to watch. Jen is struggling with her life change and being alone and was adamant about watching a movie with no romance in it. I don't know how long you've had your kodi but I'm very happy to have gotten ours last month. Our new one works so much better than the other one ever did. I could never figure out how to work it but this one is pretty simple.

I'm getting to work now. Going to take Taz in at lunchtime for his nail clipping which he loves. They always remark on how sweet he is and that they don't know any other dog that enjoys the grooming so much LOL. He'll put up with anything for attention :) Silly boy.

Have a great day, everyone.
