GooooOd morning and Happy Monday to you!!!
I am actually feeling pretty darn rested this morning even though I had a somewhat busy weekend.

I made it to about 4 pm before I started to crash at the party yesterday. And when we left at 6, I didn't like I was dying. Really good, right?!? The party was nice, even if Christopher wants nothing to do with me anymore. *winks* Cait and I were reminiscing about how we used to hold him as a baby and he would snuggle and fall asleep on us when he was a toddler. Now he is off and running. My SIL said that he told her the night before how he can put himself to sleep now. She used to read to/with him every night before he went to bed.
Meanwhile, my babies are talking to each other about engagements and wedding plans. Neither are engaged, but Cait and Brendan are talking seriously about it. I have known for a while that Scott and Leah are too, but she wants to be more settled and have a short engagement where Scott is OK with getting engaged now with no actual wedding plans. Scott said to Cait that there is no way that she can get engaged before him. (Cripes!! This is bonkers!! :faint: )

My mom gave me a gift yesterday too. She and Leah's mom had been going to a ceramics class together and she had the finished piece with her. It is a tart warmer and she painted Heather's face on it. She started it right after she died and had painted angels wings on her too. I was so impressed and it means so much to me. And on top of it all, I am proud of my mom who stepped out of her comfort zone to make it.

We have a good weather day today so I am going to steam clean. Sunny, mild and not humid-- and my goodness, the rugs need it desperately. The stains from W's accidents seem to attract every last bit of dirt and dander.
I might need to do them again before the June Party but hopefully, that will just be a quick run of it.

I hope that all of you have a nice day!!

Nancy- it drizzled a bit on and off all day but the steady rain happened overnight. Bet that made Luther happy as you went on your walk. And seeing all of those birds sounds like it was good for you too.
Can you send your DH here soI don't have to food shop tomorrow? That is super that he went for you.

Rae- I saw some of your photos from the Bird Sanctuary, you are such an incredible photographer. Crazy great! But more importantly, I am thrilled for you that you reconnected with your old self. So darn important. I hope that you will be able to keep on doing these things often.

good morning - I am back from a nice walk with Luther. It is cool but not cold and the sun is shining through some hazy clouds. We got no rain at all day or in the night. We had a super good dinner my DH grilled steaks and made ranch beans which is a meal in itself. The beans contain bacon, ham, several different kinds of beans, onions, peppers and jalapeño peppers and all in a wonderful sauce. It is a Marlboro Man recipe LOL. My son got it through some promotion and it has great recipes who would have thought. I am now watching the USA play Germany in the Worlds championship. My Devils are doing really well Keith Kinkaid is back in net for the US so that is pretty cool. Yesterday the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Boston Bruins to win the series and move on to the Eastern conference final. So far Tampa for being thought of as this great team has taken out 3 players in what I consider borderline to really dirty plays. My Devil Sami Vatanen was taken out with a hit to the head, Tory Krug was taken out with an ankle injury as he was pushed into the boards and David Backes was taken out with a head hit and left with probably a concussion. In all cases the Lightning players said they felt bad what a joke. I feel bad for the Bruins team in that the refs felt the need to be hard on Marchand and thus that hurt the Bruins whole team but I guess it is a team sport. Left a bad taste in my mouth for how is officiated. But luckily there was a late game the Sharks vs the Golden Knights. The teams were fast and the goaltending was just spectacular by Marc-Andre Fleury. At times I swear there was a cone of invincibility around his net. The Sharks hit the post or cross bar at least 5 times. The Knights defeated the Sharks 3-0. It was funny in the middle of the 2nd period the horn sounded to stop play. I knew then that the Knights must have scored. Toronto always checks possible goals and signals when the goal was missed. The Knights never sat back and had more shots on goal in the third period than the Sharks. So that made me happy! LOL Now tonight two more teams can "punch the tickets" to the Conference final. It is just amazing but it seems if you placed $100 bet on the Knights to make it to the Conference final you would win $50,000. LOL

Chris so glad that you had such a great day. I know it is sad when the babies no longer want to snuggle. I guess I am not surprised that your kids are talking engagements. They have been happily with their other so that is pretty cool. And I don't see Joey doing the shopping for me LOL - he has completely different stuff he wants at the store so he likes to go and just meander the isles me I am in and out as fast as possible. And he loves to buy meat on special which I don't ever do. And he buys as if he is feeding an army while I only buy for 3. We have completely different styles.

Rae I have so enjoyed seeing your bird photos on facebook. What a great place!

Waving to Felis, Jean and Trudy. Trudy sorry about the Bruins lost. But I think Marchand's antics really put the Bruins in a bad way with the refs. They did have a great season!

Have a great day all!

Good Monday morning to all of you! Yesterday was so much fun watching the kids at the swim meet. Sadie was in three events and Isaac was in 5 they were swimming on Saturday afternoon also, but we did not get to see those events  They both took a first place in one event and Isaac got a disqualification in his butterfly, but he readily admits that it is not his favourite swimming stroke (its not mine either!) When we were done at the pool we all went out for ice cream and then back to our Son's where Jason and DH watched the Bruins lose once again. They are now out of the playoffs and yes the better team won. I did not want to see it and instead went for a nice long walk with DIL and Storm and the neighbours two labs. It was fun to see them all playing and racing around the trails! Good to spend some quality time talking with my DIL also! Back to the house after the walk where we had a wonderful roast beef dinner that was all cooked on the BBQ, so delicious!! My son is an awesome cook! We talked about our plans to go to Paris for a bit and just had a wonderful visit with everyone sitting outside in the warm sunshine. The kids and I played a game of Slamwich and then it was time to hit the road and get back home. It is sad that we won't be able to do these little visit much longer! :hurt: I don't want them to move away!!

Chris - So glad that you are feeling nice and rested today after your busy weekend! Isn't it awful when the kids really don't want to hang out with you anymore! Isaac and Sadie are starting to be that way and of course would rather be hanging out with their friends and having way more fun than sitting with Grandma and Grandpa LOL. Oh well life goes on! Yikes all this talk of engagements!! It must make you both nervous and excited! Your babies are all grown up! What a sweet Mom you have! Making that gift just for you and getting out of her comfort zone to do it too! So nice  Have fun Steam Cleaning (a bit of sarcasim there) Hope you get all the pee stains out of your rug! I bet you would rather be outside on this sunny day!

I will be back soon, Heather is facetimeing me right now so I gotta go :bolt:

Good morning, ladies. Had a good visit at the hospital yesterday but unfortunately the hospital messed up her ivig treatment and meds, and they don't understand the aggressive behavior that ensues from messing with her meds so they strapped her down in constraints for the whole night and just left her there. Poor girl. Jen had gone home to sleep and wasn't aware that this had happened. She had been assured that all meds/treatment were going as planned. So today Jen is going back to the hospital, is going to start screaming at hospital admin and demanding transfer to neuro unit where they at least understand mental and physical incapacitated patients. Since they messed up treatment this last week, she has regressed to worsening mental and physical state. So sad to see. But hopefully Jen will get some results today in getting better care. I am happy that when we go I can usually perk her up and get to be calm and happy (my desserts always help). Please pray for B and her recovery.

I've got a very busy day so won't be back until tomorrow. Have a great day everyone.

It's :rain: but you know I don't mind. Was nice day. It's no working day so we all was at home and had one quiet and cosy day.
Ironically but after I post my Sunday post here, I went to get shower and saw that the water heater drips. After me it start to flow seriously. The good news is that dad is one of these old fashioned man who can repair everything in one household. The bad news is that repairing of these water heaters take more time and money instead of just to buying new, so he preferred to change it with new one (but he opened it to be sure). And so we had to buy new one at the weekend and no deals was available, so we had to pay the full price :dizzy: . Not nice. But just as I had told to Rae few minutes earlier it was refreshing to worry about something so trivial, after all.

Chris, Seven sounds like a great age to me! You can speak with them and to enjoy their imagination, which is so bright at this period after the little kid but before school stereotypes. My ex roommate have six years son and I hope to see them this summer! Oh, so exciting to speak about engagements and wedding plans! I want to see Cait as a bride! She will be so beautiful! Oh and the dogs will bring the rings, right?! If she get the pig to bring the ring, then you'll have to invite me on this with sure!
OH! *few heart beats* WOW! This tart warmer sounds so wonderful! Great idea of your mom!

Nancy, I'm so agree with you about need to buying of meat from special farms. We discuss with a friends that actually small farms which keeps animals free and happy is the best solution. Unfortunately for them is hardly to survive, pressed by the big manufacturers which keeps the animals in cages and treat them with meds. It's so sad! And scary how fast we are moving away from the good practices of our ancestors! :) I'm from farm family as you know, so I can speak for that so long. But my idea at first was to told that I'm agree with you that you have to be careful from where buy the meat, eggs and milk products, but besides that it's sweet that your son is got through some promotions and he want to shop for you! Don't judge him because of the different shopping style just give him list with the specific proven brands ;) .

Trudy, I just love your description of the Saturday! The perfect day! Poor Isaac I hope this disqualification is not make him to feel embarrassing! And YEY for the successes! Both took a first place, I'm wondering for who they reminds me :) .

Jean, I hope to see you here soon!

Rae, I hope you'll scrap some of these photos from the bird sanctuary, because I want to see them too!
Your today's post makes me literally to shaking from nerves! I'm not a enduring personality and along with my great respect from the medical profession, this kind of idleness just piss me off! This isn't something you can be negligent! Poor B! If you can't win the doctor's attention with gifts, maybe is time to force them to take you more seriously! Jen have to put them ultimatum and to ask for support from other persons who are go thru this procedure for transfer to neuro. Did you have something like the patient foundation?! Or here we have one TV show that control these cases of bad attitude and medical errors. Hope you'll find fast solution! Because this is so frustrating! :boom:
