Can you believe that it is already Monday again? I think I need a shot of Sally and her Monday Cheer. I think a shot of Clara and her coffee truck might also be a good thing!!!

So back to the Monday grind-- I thankfully feel better than I did over the last few days. Hopefully I will continue on that upswing.
Not much else to report from there. I have 2 family birthdays this week and some work this week so that is a good balance. Scott's birthday is tomorrow and he asked for home made pizza for dinner. My BFF's b-day is Wed. and I am meeting her for coffee. And Wed. night Scott's girlfriend and her mom are coming for a b-day dinner too. So it will be busy but good!

Cait is doing fine-- face/nose didn't hurt or bruise at all. She was more upset that she missed part of the show. But it sounded like she was bleeding pretty badly, from what she said. She posted a photo from the show too on instagram that you can "see" her up front and the singer (that we both love) is singing "to her." She loves it! She said they made eye contact and now has the "proof." I can tell it is her although I imagine anyone other than her and her mom would not have a clue.To be a kid again!!!! Ahhh!!!

Me me Monday..... Well, I am off to shop rite and blood work and errands in town and babysitting, so my day is totally chopped up..... but I would love to get scrapping at some point...

How about you?

laurie-- Sounds like a busy but productive day for you! Rabbits-- not sure about that. I know that rodents in general don't like mint so I planted a bunch of mint outside of our planter box/raised garden boxes. Maybe that would work for rabbits too?

Phyllis- oh my heart is breaking for you and for Hisako. :( I cannot imagine how difficult this must be for all of you. To say good bye like that..... I hope for peace and an "easy" passing fo rher..... I really have no words..... And what a juxtaposition of the Christenings..... The emotions you must be feeling. Roller coaster must be an understatement. Strength and love coming to you!

Trudy- yay for sunshine!!! You deserve that! Not happening here-- all week it is supposed to rain. Hope you had a wonderful dinner with BIL and SIL!Did they have lots of pics of the new baby?

Nancy- I am like you- I wish people could be free to do the "right" thing without repercussions but I don't think that is the way our society works at all. :(
Maybe some day we all will evolve??

Late!!! Off I go!!!

Morning O fam- no exercise this am- just putting the house back in order- getting ready for the party next weekend. I plan on exercising tonight by mixing several more batches of mix for my raised bed gardens. I have one box nearly full of mix (vermiculite, peatmoss, and two different types of compost. I mix it in a wheelbarrow with each being a 5 gallon pail full, then put it in the 4 foot square bed. I need to buy some seeds and plants as well. I feel like I am behind, but really, it will be just fine. I am loving being outside more. I also have little strawberries growing and need to make a stay away rabbit/bird cover for them. I am excited to think that I will be able to eat a berry right out of my garden. Remind me of my exuberance when it gets hot and dry, would you!

good morning - it is total fog this morning but it is supposed to get up into the mid 70s once the sun burns off the fog. I will believe it when it happens. May even be thunderstorms this afternoon. Hope to get a walk in before that happens. Had fun with hockey watching yesterday as the USA team won the bronze medal with two of my NJ Devils on the USA team and then Sweden won gold and one of my NJ Devils was on that team. Trudy happy for you that the Bruins won. It was a fun game to watch. Then there was the Pens/Sens game which started early but did not end until 11:45 my time. I thought I would get to be early but no! Very exciting. Sorry Phylis but those Sens are pesky!

Chris hope the day goes well!

Laurie have a great day!

Phylis prayers for you and your friend and her family!

Have a great day all!

Nancy, Gaaaah!!! the Penguins are giving me fits!! enough said....

Laurie, you're not behind. for us, in this growing zone, it's really not wise to plant stuff until Memorial Day. the ground is still COLD!! i love the idea of raised beds. they always look so good.

Chris, thanks for the good thoughts. this is the first time i am ever losing a friend like this. she's the first thing i thnk of when i wake up in the morning. she said yesterday that this all seems so unreal to her. she can't believe it's happening to her. that's how i'm feeling. it's unreal. and awful.

today there's a guy coming over to tell me how much it'll cost to have a row of dying pine trees cut down. it'll cost LOTS, i expect. then to Home Depot to buy some Miracle Gro potting soil to add to my outside dirt. (hubby screwed it up by adding WAAAY too much wood ash to my dompost bin.) then grocery shopping and trying to figure out what i'm making for dinner. thrilling...

start the week off with a laugh. or something. to that end, here's a video i posted on my Facebook page when i was feeling really down about my friend. it always makes me happy. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=nfiq8Z4dBwE&desktop_uri=/watch?v=nfiq8Z4dBwE

Morning everyone... I have been tossing and turning since 3am and decided that I am just not going to get back to sleep, so here I am now a bit after 5am on my computer. Perhaps a bit too much wine and food last night?? Tummy is not feeling so good. Hopefully I can crawl back into bed and get a few more hrs of

Chris - Glad to hear that Cait is ok and no bruising! Sounds like she had a wonderful time at her concert! Lucky girl to see the singer she loves so up close to her!! Hope you continue to feel better everyday!! Hope you get some scrapping time in today, if you do send some mojo my way would you?

Laurie - Isn't it wonderful to get your hands in the dirt again! It has been a long winter and being outside again is just invigorating isn't it! Lucky you to have some fresh strawberries to eat in your near future, hope you can keep those critters out of them!! Enjoy your day!!

Nancy - That Bruins game was a great one, although with all the yard work hubby and I were doing yesterday we only caught bits and pieces of it. Crazy weather you are having!! Hope you get your walk in sun today!!

Phylis - Ohhh Phylis, how heartbreaking for you to have to say good-bye to your dear friend! Life just is not fair is it??? I hope that she finds peace and that she is surrounded by those her love her when her time comes!! A weekend of mixed emotions for you, I hope that you are ok and I will keep you in my thoughts and close to my heart today!!! Thanks for the video link, it is a good one!

I am going to attempt to get a bit more  not much to do today so maybe some scrapping time this afternoon. Send the sleep fairy my way ok everyone? Or I am going to be one cranky old woman this afternoon!!

Good to hear Cait and you are feeling better! I hope you get some scrapping time today!

Hugs to you Phylis, must be so hard to say goodbye to your friend.

What a shame Nancy the weather was so bad you couldn't do the yard work.

Great Laurie you did so much, I have no idea what to do about rabbits, I hope you solve the problem soon!
And how wonderful you look with that beautufyil smile and your party hat!

I hope you slept a bit more Trudy!

Saterday the kids watched Cars during my nap, they never get tired of watching that and they also made lunch for themselfs :) only the peanut butter jar was empty after that lol

Today almost everyone is free overhere because of Pentecost. There was a kind of rummage sale, there were new items and used for sale. I got 3 new shirts, Ben got a 'new' bike, we got a few games and the kids all got some little cars (Hotwheels I believe). Now I have some time to scrap and this evening I'm going to make another bagpipe for the schoolplay this friday.

Have a great day!

Hello, O-fam
Couldn't stop in all weekend. As my grandmother would say "I was as busy as a Cranberry Merchant" . . . Never met a Cranberry Merchant. Are they especially busy???
Well, I had more things to do than could possibly fit in one weekend. The biggest was the luau for my husband's boss. He put me in charge of the decorations for 15 tables (110 people). I had to run around and get things and then put it all together, then attend the party that lasted 8 hours!
Then, we had a thank you party to attend on Sunday and a Pampered Chef party. There were a lot of little things, too!

Here is a link to my blog with pics from the event

That looks great Meagan and what a party that must have been for 8 hours.

Ready with the bagpipe, it's the second one I've made for the schoolplay, now only a bow tie and I'm done with everything I offered to do except for Friday when I will help dressing the kids .... here is a (bad) photo of the bagpipe I made this evening:
