Good evening all,
I'm finally making it in here. I ended up going with the girls to Muskogee again today. Alyssa went with us this time, which is rare because she's always working. Adrienne had a doctor's appointment, which I went with her to and the girls took the car to get drinks. We're a "small gang" and do everything together. Usually, it's just Adrienne, Ava and me, but we were glad to have Alyssa along for a change. After the doctor, we went to TJ Maxx. I'm organizing my kitchen cupboards and needed some more containers to put stuff in. I'm so happy with the way my cupboards are looking. I got this roll of cute labels on Amazon and can actually put what's in what. They remove easily too.
Chuck did all of the cooking for so many years and I didn't even know where stuff was. Plus he was six feet tall, and put stuff up high where I couldn't reach it, let alone see it. I've been reorganizing and re-ordering since the month and a half he spent in the hospital and in the rehab facility and I had to cook or starve. It's like riding a bike - it comes right back. After all, I taught him everything he knew when he decided he wanted to take over the cooking.
Chris @faerywings I KNEW your party would be a success because they always are. You handled the "situation" with the perfect solution. Nobody does want to talk about it, especially the loss of a child, but the parent(s) needs to talk about it. Kudos to you for handling it the perfect way. "Grief moment" did you ever post pictures of what you made for your guests? See, now, I can claim "grief" for my "senior moments" or whatever "moments". Anyhoo, I'm glad everything worked out well.
@Cherylndesigns ouuuuucccccchhh.... I am stiff and sore from readying about your climbing in and out of Ava's truck. Scott's truck has running boards and I still struggle. Short People Problems (SPPs). And then we have CGP (Curly Girl Problems).
Yes, the struggle is real.
@Cherylndesigns I laughed out loud about your heaving into the truck with no running boards because I’m living that every day here!! I even read your description to Erinn and she laughed too - not because we’re laughing at you but because we SO relate!! I learned the other day after nearly tearing my rotator cuff getting in to grab that bar with both hands and haul in that way. It’s still clumsy and hilarious to onlookers, but at least it doesn’t destroy my already sore shoulder. And getting out? Hah.Last night getting out kind of pulled the small of my back and it took a minute to stand up - i have to laugh at myself in the process but boy oh boy did that hurt!! SPP here for sure!!
Yep, you get it girl. SPP for sure.
Well, I think I'll sign off for now. Hugs to everybody and I'll try to get on here at a decent time and do more personals. But you know I love you all.
XOXO
