CHEERY O
I am not sure about any of this... Monday, May, my computer... it all seems so wrong. Weather-caster says "lucky to break 50* today. In May??
I opened Firefox this morning and it said Click here to speed up FF, and b/c my computer has been running super slow, I did. And then FF got all wonky and I am trying to get my settings back and it is all making my head hurt.

But here we are, a new week and month and I am running head first into the busy season. I have three birthdays this week alone.
Today I am cleaning my kitchen, it has gotten so dusty and I have to climb up onto the counters to get the top cabinets and Disney collectibles washed off. I think it will be good to have a nice fresh kitchen again. (Right??? That is a good motivator, I think (hope!).

I did get a few boxes of craft supplies put away and started scrapping a LO for the SoMa Designer challenge.

I have to drive Caitlyn to school today, she is in charge of Snack for the preschool this week, and has several bags of groceries to bring in.

Other than that, I have a sort of quiet day, hopefully I can get a lot of the loose ends tied up, if for no other reason, they don't flip out my brain too much!

hugs too all of you!

Dang! I use Speed Dial instead of book m,arks a lot of the time and now it all went away, and all I have is the default Dial. Argh!
I was able to find the ink to my Daily Site and here is today:
It’s National Truffle Day! According to legend, a man named Louis Dufour invented the chocolate truffle in Chambéry, France in 1895. A few years later, Antoine Dufour opened the Prestat Chocolate Shop in London. Historians believe this chocolate shop was solely responsible for popularizing chocolate truffles in England (and beyond), but the relationship between Louis and Antoine is uncertain. Fun fact: Roald Dahl, the author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, was a huge fan of Prestat truffles!
The first recipes for chocolate truffles appeared in the 1920s. Today there are three main types—American, European, and Swiss. Each type of truffle has a slightly different twist, but they all include a creamy ganache filling and a topping like cocoa, coconut, or drizzled chocolate.
To celebrate National Truffle Day, stop by your local candy shop and pick up a variety of delicious chocolate truffles!

My SIL makes Oreo Truffles and man, they are so delish!

May is also Lyme Disease Awareness Month and I am sure I will be posting some tidbits and reminders for tick checks as we go along :)

Rae- you were the only one who popped in on Sunday- everyone must have been busy. I hate that feeling when you eat junk and it makes you feel worse than before. Even when we got to my mom's in PA and she cooks non-stop, Cait and I get home and all we crave are salads. :)
What is Night Film about? I am always looking for the next book to read.

Have a fab day all of you ::grouphug :cof1:

Morning Chris - and everyone else. Phew. What happened to the weekend? Did we actually GET a weekend?! :-? I'm beginning to wonder. I keep trying to figure out what I might have done the past couple of days ... and ... *** blank *** Laundry. Dishes. More laundry. I THOUGHT I was pretty productive, at the time. Now ... not so sure.

Oh well, hopped on over here and Joanie put an huge smile on my face this morning. Check out the AnnaLIFT this week ;)

I suspect this week is going to fly by - well, one can hope, right, since it will be tied up with work-related things ;) Don't have the multiple birthdays to work around ... but Mother's Day and a weekend of scrappy goodness ... looking forward to it. Now, if that's what next weekend looks like, and it become 'unproductive' as a result, them I'm fine with that ;) LOL!

Good morning, ladies. The weekend flew by. Bailey & I took the dogs to the river yesterday afternoon and it was a beautiful day, sunny and temps around 80. Came home with a deli chicken and leftover mac&cheese so dinner was quick and easy. Then I finished my book "Night Film" which I loved but not the ending. Hate when that happens, when I read a book I can't put down but then am dissatisfied with the ending. Ugh. I stayed awake for Game Of Thrones but after puttering for a few minutes I realized I was exhausted and went to bed. So had a much longer sleep than I usually have. Last night Taz was watching a bee buzz around the window and then it was gone, so didn't think anything more of it. This morning his face is all swollen, he has three swollen bumps around his mouth and his eyes are red rimmed. I think he got stung. Poor little guy. We'll keep an eye on the swelling today and if it gets any worse I'll take him over to the vet.

Chris - my computer was wonky this morning too. I got a popup that said my recycling bin was corrupted and my computer keeps freezing. I think it's getting close to the time I'll have to bring it in for repairs and cleaning out.

Kat - I haven't seen the AnnaLIFT but I'm guessing it's one your pages? I'll check it out later.

Gotta get to work, especially if I have to take time off later to bring Taz in if he gets any worse. Have a great day, everyone.

Morning O-Zies!! Sorry I was so very MIA from here this weekend! Our trip to the In-Laws took so much longer then we anticipated, but the guys finally got the wharf all fixed up and now it sits out further in the deeper water. FIL is 82 and works like a madman, puts a lot of much younger fellows to shame. DH and his Dad work well together and FIL was very appreciative to have him there to get the job done! It was a good time to catch up with MIL and SIL Linda, as she was also there for the day. I made a big fire at the fire pit and we had hot dogs etc. for lunch, man did I smell like smoke when we got home :becky: Yesterday was spent planting flowers and getting the lawns fertilized. It was so nice and peaceful as the neigbours were gone all day and we only heard the dogs bark at us once :bliss:

Chris - Sorry that you are having issues with your computer!! I have to go through the hassle of changing my email address soon, as we have signed up with the new Telus Optik network and had a nice long conversation with a rep that stopped by on Saturday evening. We were sitting on our front deck, enjoying a glass of wine, when he showed up and sat down with us for over an hour. He finally convinced us that this was the way to go and we will be saving quite a bit on our internet and tv bills. We have 30 days to try it out and if we don't like it then we can just go back to Shaw cable. Sounds like the internet will be very, very fast so looking forward to seeing just what it will do. Downside is I have to change my email address, but I have decided to go Gmail and hopefully will never have to change it again!! What a PITA! Well I have rambled on enough and hope that you will have a wonderful day and that the temps warm up for you all!!

Rae - I am exactly the same when I eat too much white flour/carbs! My stomach rebels big time and I suffer for hours!! I try to stay away from bread all together now, but I can tolerate the odd whole wheat/whole grain things once in a while. MIL serves carbs galore so I find it very difficult to eat much when we go there. She get offended, but I try to explain to her that its my stomach that doesn't like her cooking, not my tastebuds LOL. After 35 years I still have to remind her not to put raw onion in my food, but she always does, it drives me crazy!! I can't eat raw onions either, they repeat on me all night ugh !! I hope that you got to enjoy the rest of your weekend! Wasn't the weather simply gorgeous!!

Kat - The weekend did fly by didn't it!! I know that I got lots done, because my body is reminding me about muscles I forgot that I had LOL. I am off to check out this weeks AnnaLift, isn't it so nice to see your own layout as the lift!!

Ok DH is on Skype so I gotta go...:bolt: Have a great Monday everyone!!
