The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
i am so happy, I feel much better today than I did yesterday. I finished cleaning up the kitchen yesterday, mostly hand washing wine glasses and dishes, did some laundry, and that was it. I scrapped a little bit, but it seemed like the day just dragged, since I am so used to running around all willy-nilly.:bliss::madgrin:

Today I am going to take it as easy as I can, so I am not tired for the ceremony tonight for Caitlyn. Even Scott looking forward to cheering her on.
Scott also did a great thing for me too yesterday. There were a bunch of annuals that were getting really scraggly and the boss told him to either take them home or toss them, so he brought me a 7 pots of flowers!. I haven't had flowers on my patio in years, so I can't wait to repot them today.

I don't think much of anything else is happening here, but I think that is good!

From Sunday:

:pound: Nancy- I am with your hubby re: too many people in NJ! I am so used to dinky country roads, that when we had to take Cait's car to the dealership on Rt 17, it was culture shock!
i am sorry that your day didn't turn out as planned, but at least you got to spend time together.

Trudy- oh that bites about the weather/wind dropping crud all over your lawn. It is almost like trying to clean the house with a toddler running behind you.
Hope that you get a bit of rain, overnight of course *wink*, and then the temps come back up.
I know-- it is crazy about the printer costs vs ink. i think Gary is going to call Canon and see what they have to offer. It all just makes me grumble.

Rae- that was good luck that you got the faucet and noticed the leak. That could have ended up being a much bigger mess for you. poor Taz being sad about being left home.
That is great that you can cut out gluten and feel so much better. keep it up!!

I swear I was here over the weekend, in spirit and trying to get on the boards to say "Hey!" ... but I got myself locked out several times! LOL Using a different computer and I didn't have my password saved on this one. But now, I'm here!! :) :) :)

And by "here," I mean still at home. MEGA insomnia last night resulted in me falling asleep sometime after 4 am ... and then the alarm going off at 5. Strangest thing, I was tired as all s*&%, but just couldn't fall asleep. Then waking up at 5 and I got the shakes and felt ill (my body's way to telling me freakin' go.to.sleep!!). Texted my boss and said I wouldn't be in - no way I was going to attempt a 1 hr drive to work feeling like that. So here I am, even after taking a Tylenol PM, which is supposed to last what, 7-8 hours? I didn't have caffeine at all yesterday, so I have no idea what's going on. Very strange. Oh well, while I'm awake - albeit in quite a bit of a sleep-deprived-drug-induced-fog - I'm going to get a few things done, have breakfast, and then probably crash again.

good morning - yesterday was so so. Got Luther out for two walks so that was good and he is not longer limping so that makes me really happy! But I made my DH mad as we took the dog for a walk and I asked that Luther not get in the water. I mean poor puppy is just getting well and he does not need to be in water in the chilly weather. I know he is a dog LOL but he is my baby! So then I go up to go to bed after the hockey game around 11:30 only to find the cat had had a hair ball on the bed and it had been covered up so I had to wash sheets and did not make it to bad until after 1am. Now the cat does not know how to hide her hair ball and I know I did not do it so that leaves two other people in the house who might have done it but of course they know nothing! Of course the cat did it. Today is a lot of scrapping and watching hockey.

Chris so glad yesterday was a rest day and you are feeling so much better. How fun to get all those flowers!

Trudy hope your weather improves.

Rae I feel you about quick (not so quick repairs). Seems we are always having plumbing problems. We have a steam heat so pipes eventually rust and have holes and need to be replaced and then just the normal upkeep. Glad you found the leak before it became a huge problem.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... cool and grey out again this morning. It turned out to be a very expensive day for us yesterday as DH was not happy about all the clean up we had to do again. So he decided it was time to get a better blower and also a new grass trimmer. I was complaining about how I have been waiting for a new bathroom blind so we got one of those too. Yikes it was a major hit to the pocketbook, but we are all very happy now! :becky: DH had fun playing with his new toys and the place is all cleaned up and spiffy looking again! He loves that the new blower is light and so powerful that it cleaned out all of the gutters too a job he was not looking forward to doing, but so happy that he got it all done in less than an hour. I think he is in love with his new blower!!

Chris - What wonderful news to hear that you are feeling so much better these last few days!! The warmer weather really agrees with you!! I bet you can't wait to get your new flower pots planted!! So nice of Scott to bring them home to you! Keeping my fingers crossed that you can get your printer replaced quickly!!

Kat - Oh that really bites that you can not get the sleep that you so desperately need!! I sure hope that you are able to crawl back into bed for a nice long nap soon!!

Are you very stressed out these days?? Dam stress can do such weird things to the body! I am so glad that you decided to take the day and stay at home, perhaps a few days off would do you a world of good!!

Nancy - nice to hear that Luther is no longer limping! Sorry that your hubby is not seeing your concern over Luther not getting infection from the dirty water. MEN!!! You can't live with them and you can't kill em LOL. Wow I wonder who the mystery hairball hider is in your family :becky: It had to have been that darn cat

Hope you have a great day of scrapping and hockey!!

Rae - No rain here on the Island yet, how about where you live? We sure could use a good downpour, or we will be on summer watering restrictions very soon!! Glad to hear that you have found the solution to feeling better and are staying away from wheat products! A hard thing to do as it seems it is in everything!! I have hardly any stomach issues either if I stay off the white bread products and watch my intake of anything with pastry or deep-fried foods. I suppose after a life time of eating the wrong the stuff our bodies are finally revolting against us! I think a lot of it had to do with the amount of preservatives we put into our systems growing up, but it was the norm back then wasn't it. Glad that your DH found the leak problem and got it fixed before any major damage was done! How great that he is such a handy man! Guess you better keep him around!!

Well not much happening here today, I promised my DD that I would work on a birthday invite for Mason's 3rd birthday party and my sister needs a new rack card put together for her B&B too, so I guess its a good day to get started on those projects. Perhaps I will find time to scrap a page too. Off to the chiropractor this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning, ladies. The wkend just flew by. We ended up back at Home Depot yesterday to get some new bathroom stuff. Then the kids came over to visit and as I was showing Jen the kitchen plumbing that was replaced the day before, I placed my hand on one of the pipes and it was wet. WTH???? I yelled for Darrell to come see. Turns out, another part of the pipe was disintegrating so my hubs had to take it apart again and repair it. An hour later, all fixed (again). No leaking now so, fingers crossed. It's scary to think that had we not bought the tap/sprayer on Saturday, we never would have realized there was a problem and we very well might have had a major flood in the kitchen this week had the pipes burst. After the kids left, we had a late dinner and watched Game Of Thrones and The 100.

Chris - how nice that Scott thought to bring the flowers home to you.

Kat - hope your sleep is better tonight. I haven't had a good sleep in about 10 yrs and can no longer remember what it feels like unfortunately.I hope your sleeplessness doesn't last that long. If there is a lot on your mind, try playing some soft instrumental music in the background, or if you have a white noise app on your phone that can help to clear your head. What works for me to fall asleep every time I wake up is to put the food channel on with the timer so it'll shut off in an hour and then close my eyes and listen. Then I usually fall asleep within about 10 minutes. So each time I wake up I reset the timer, close my eyes and drift off again.

Nancy - Yuck about the hair ball. How sweet for you to worry about Luther. I'm sure it would be fine for him to go in the water, dogs don't feel the cold like we do, but sweet that you worry about him :)

Trudy - we're getting the rain now and it's cooled right off. Looks like the heat wave is over for now. Our water restrictions started yesterday.

I'm watching season six of Drop Dead Diva on Shomi (got a free month) and hope they get more shows than the Canadian Netflix does. But for now, having a free month so I can watch the last season of DDD is great. I used to watch that show on Comcast when we would be out at our trailer and I missed the final season so am happy now to see it. It's almost time to start my work day so, gotta go. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
