hehehe! its a throwback to my PreK teaching days

I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! yesterday turned out very nice. Everybody in my family did so much to help and my bro kept me happy with several mimosas! Gotta love him!
The funniest moment was when the kids gave me a gift. My brother and SIL got me a delish Yankee candle- a new scent, Lemon Lavender. Wow! Totally yummy! I left it on the table.
An hour later, my kids come up with a wrapped box. I had told them not to get my anything, all I wanted was a card, so I am not expecting anything. I open the box and it is a Lemon Lavender Yankee candle. I look over at the table and the one I left there was gone.
I assume (do not go there LOL) that they re-gifted it on me LOLOL!!! So being me, I cracked a joke about "where did you get that?-- Good choice"
The I realize that the other candle was on the side of the table I couldn't see. OMG- it was so funny! I am such a dork!!!
(Ya had to be there )

Anyway, we had a really nice day. And I hope that you all did too.

LindaS- I saw your FB post- I am so thrilled for you about your kids and that makes me so hopeful for Bro and SIL, that they can have the same. (((hugs!)))

Tali- I saw your FB post too. Hope that your day got better. I have had many of those M-Days (and B-days, V-Days... etc myself) I appreciate you!

Dawn-- woo hoo!! Congrats on the laptop!

Linda- so glad to see you in the o's! Sounds like a Fab frame!!

BTW, do you have a last initial? Well, I know you do, but could you tell us what it is? LOL We have two other Lindas that post in the Ooo's and we use last initials to keep them straight. Thanks!! ( I hope I didn't scare you off!)

Clara- oh no about the margaritas! Glad you are feeling better and had a chill day! Bet an IV is a much better route to get rehydrated than trying to keep water down in an unhappy tummy.

Sally- I am so sad for you and YMG- but just think of the reunion! We'll get ya through it if you need us. Scrap therapy!

Joslyn..... oh Joslyn..... I hope we don't see you today!! *fingers crossed that you are holding that baby boy*
But don't forget we need an update!

Me Me Monday.... not sure I am going to be able to do much for me today- I have boatloads of work I need to do that I had blown off last week. But if I have time, I might go over to the Garden Center and buy some plants with those Gift Cert's that I won.

good morning! I got Will ready early this morning... sooo nice... we're usually late... but I got him in bed earlier and he got up easier this morning...

Not much going on today... I babysit today and tomorrow and then we're all going on Will's field trip to the zoo on Wednesday (I hope the weather is good)... Piper will have to miss ballet, but the last time we went to the zoo she was only 9 months old and won't remember! Of course in Washington, DC the zoo is free LOL

Mom and Sherry will be here late tonight as Sherry has surgery tomorrow on her foot, but because of the field trip I can't be over there since Gabe would have to miss work both days.

Anyhoo - that's about it for me today... hope everyone has a great Monday!

Good morning O's . I am still here but at least last night I actually slept, it was WONDEFUL!!! I fell asleep on the couch and Gunar just left me there because he knew that I hadn't slept in days I only woke up once and I feel better than I have in days. I have been doing everything...I mean EVERYTHING I can to get this little man out!!! We decided that he must be like his daddy and is comfy, so he won't move until he is poked with a sharp stick or forced out. I'll have a NST and an ultrasound tomorrow and it will determine an induction if I don't go before then.

We had a very low key mothers day but a good one. Kalin decided she wanted to give presents to all the moms she knew my sweet little girl so we made some cards . Not much else going on today.

Chirs~ I saw that new scent from Yankee and it sounds great. I love lavender, maybe I'll make a trip to the mall today .

Have a great days O's. Grab a cup of my coffee, my sister in law sent up 2 pounds of starbucks and I have it brewing

Jos-dang it, I was really hoping not to see you today, LOL. The little guy does sound stubborn, maybe the Starbucks will help spur him along! I hope today is a great day for you!

Sandra-sounds like a busy week for you! I love zoos, I bet it will be tons of fun with all the kids .

Good morning to everyone

Thank you all so much for making me feel so welcome!! You are all so wonderful!!

Here in our sweet little town it is RAIN RAIN RAIN today....which really is a long time coming...they have called for rain almost everyday for three weeks and most days it has not rained at all....just very cloudy, damp and gray outside...We were lucky to have a BEAUTIFUL day yesterday for Mothers day and enjoyed a great cookout at my Mom's. Well maybe now the rain has finally come...it will stay pretty for a while..so I can get my outdoor painting done...ooooohhh...maybe the rain is good!! Thanks again for allowing me into your sweet little community....


Joslyn....congrats on your baby boy that's coming...and the fact you feel SO GOOD today is a good sign....that's when it happened for me!!!

Chris....I am LindaW. ...guess I should change my signature...to help out...great story about the candle....when my girls were little...they would wrap up things from there room in newspaper and give them to me as random gifts....I loved it!! They have such sweet giving natures at that age!!

Sandra....I LOVE THE ZOO!! Take our grandchildren all the time...hope you have fun!!!

Clara....I am glad you feel better...at my age...I don't think an IV would even help me. LOL...Glad you had a good time!!!!

Happy belated Mother's Day to you all. Hope it was a fab weekend for everyone. We had a great time - went into DC and walked around the Tidal Basin and went to Gravelly Point to watch the planes take off from the airport. And the best part, Rita's gelato! DH and Christian got me a very nice gift card to the spa.

Chris - have fun at the garden center! I went yesterday too and got some nice annuals for the front yard.

hey girlies!!!

I'm gonna post a quick one!! We gotta go to lessons and all that jazz like we always do on Monday morning!!!

Guys, I really need you guys to pray for this little girlie, Layla Grace...she is 18mos old and she's in surgery right now...She was diagnosed with lukemia this weekend. She has a tumor wrapped around her little insides. Her daddy works for mr gorgeous's company. It's just getting me going!! After my own baby was healed, I have the faith that God will step in and heal this little girlie. Please pray with me!!!

okay...off to live life to the fullest...and hug my darlings harder and tighter (poor kids!! LOL)

Good morning. Yay for Monday. Okay, I hate Mondays, but I wanted to see if Sally's thought process for new beginnings worked for me. And the result is...not so much. Actually today is not so bad. I definately feel better than yesterday. Once I got that sleep and some fluids I felt so much better and was able to hang out with the family. We watched a movie and I broke my sugar fasting for peanut butter malt balls. Yummy. I'm back on track again. My picnic was so sweet from my dh and ds. Addie just went along but loves to be at the park. That poor little girl was so tired yesterday. I think I put her to bed almost an hour early and she fell asleep while I was rocking her and singing to her. This is definately not our usual sleep routine and she has never been one to sleep while rocking but she was just so tired. Poor little girl.

So, I am finally going to do some uploading today for my blog of the pics I took from my new camera. I love it love it love it!!!! I am just keeping it on auto for now until I can get a lesson on using my own settings. Then I will play with them some more. Even so gorgeous!! I am so excited about it. I am also almost done with my scrap organizing. I have almost all of my O-stash done. I want to get my scrap orchard stuff organized too but I don't have nearly as much so I'll do that slowly. I am also trying to decide if I want to do anything with my templates. It would kinda be nice to have a place to go through and look at them quickly. We'll see what I decide to do. I'm a template junkie so it would be nice to have them easy to look at. I think I will do them too. Any suggestions??

Chris - I sing that to Ethan in the mornings to wake him up. How funny. That story about the candle is great.

Sandra - Don't you just love that so many things are free in DC? I thought that was so cool when I visited there. Is that where you are going to the zoo this time? I hope you guys have a blast. I love the zoo, except the most local one is on this HUGE hill and I hate that part of it. Walking up and down t he hill is no fun. I love driving down to Portland and going to the zoo down there but it is a long trip, so we don't drive down very often.

Joslyn - while I am glad that you got a good night's sleep...you are not allowed to be in here. You are supposed to be at the hospital having a baby boy. You better have a little chat with him and let him know that now is the time. I hope your appointment goes well and he comes on his own very soon without needing inducing. Do some jumping jacks or something.

Dawn - I hope you got your early start and in turn that it makes for a good day for you. Oh, and IVs are the best for hangovers. I must have been really dehydrated too because I didn't ever have to pee real bad or anything afterward. TMI, I know. My DH and I use IVs for everything, hangovers, the flu, whatever. They are amazing.

LindaW - Where are you from that you are getting all that rain? I hope you get some nice sunshine soon. Just remember that rain makes things green so that when you do get some sunshine everything will be so pretty. I live an hour from Seattle so we get lots and lots of rain around here but I don't usually mind it so much. I hope you are able to get your planting done. Welcome to the Os.

ME - Yay for Gelato!! I love geklato. My favorite is pistacio. Ooooh, I miss Italy and good gelato. We don't have any good stuff nearby. Oh and FYI for any of you that go to Vegas...do not get gelato at the Venetian. I was so sad at how bad it was. I'm glad you had a great Mother's Day. Enjoy the spa.

Sally - an IV is soooooooo not cheating. Don't be jealous. I promise if we are ever someplace drinking together and we drink too much, you'll get an IV too so that you can have a not bad day the next day. I actually think I got alcohol poisoning so the IV was a really good idea. I cannot believe I did that though. How unbelievably embarassing. I am too old to overdrink that much. Bad Clara!! Have a great bust Monday.
