Good morning and welcome to a new week! Did everyone enjoy the weekend?
What a fantastic weather day it was yesterday. Just amazing! Sunny and 65* I wish it could be like that the rest of this week too but it's supposed to cool down and rain for much of it. Glad I was outside for a few hours to soak it in.

Yesterday's field trip was a little chaotic in spite of the perfect weather. As soon as I pulled into the parking lot, I should have known. SMH! No parking spaces. I park in my boss's driveway (she lives on-site) and walk down to see where else I can park. Another staff member showed me where to go along with a heads-up that someone had collapsed and EMTs were on the way. By the time I get back to my car, the police are blocking the entire parking lot. I texted my boss that I'll move as soon as I can. The person fainted during a Wilderness First Aid class so at least she was in good hands while waiting on the EMTs
Needless to say, we were a little off balance getting prepped but not too bad. The group was Cub Scouts and a lot of them LOL 29 people in the group- kids and parents. The boys were full of spring fever energy :D I never did get a chance to move my car either.
That was my last opportunity to do the Sugaring program so by next year I'll forget it all. Lots of field trips to get ready for next month.

Today-- is going to be a mash-up, I think. My main goal is to clean out the fridge and place my grocery order. Laundry. Coloring Crew is this afternoon if I can get everything else figured out.
Whatever you do today, I hope you have a great time doing it

@Cherylndesigns What a fright that was when you couldn't find Lila. Thank goodness Jaxson had taken her in. Whew! That's not a great way to start the day, esp. un-caffeinated.
Enjoy the time in the gardens and woo hoo to the baby daylily making it through the winter. I was looking at my rosemary and I don't think it made it through. But you know me, I won't give up on a dead plant until it crumbles into dust LOL

@BrightEyes How awesome to realize you had an extra weekend day LOL!
I am sorry to hear that DD#3 got laid off but fantastic that she can spend more time with you. I'm sure you'll have lots of fun exploring sewing projects together.
Good job hunting vibes to her as well.

@vickyday Too funny that you were excited to see the people and forgot about the plants. I'm the exact opposite. I'm much happier talking to my plants than I am with people. Animals>plants>people :rotfl:
That's always my worry about the unseasonable temps this time of year. The poor plants don't know what to do and the wildlife as well. although I have seen my forsythia start to bloom in the winter after a few very warm days and not die. Even I can't kill forsythia LOL

Hope you and Kay are feeling better and have no back pain today.

Didn't sleep as well last night as the winds were howling until after midnight. I kept hearing them rattling stuff on the patio and howling around the house. They are calm now but forecast is windy for the next couple of days. At least the temps are in the mid-to-high 60's in late afternoon. The back is not so bad this morning, thank goodness. Will see how it goes today and maybe can get the potted daylilies trimmed back some time this week. Will be seeing my oncologist on Wednesday morning. That is my last doctor's appointment scheduled for now, thank goodness. Will be checking to see if the base pharmacy is back to filling Rx's now. Whether they are or not, I really need to go to the commissary for groceries as I am out of so many staples. Will have to make a list or I will forget things I really need. Both the fridge and the freezer are half-empty!!! Yikes!!! When I get down to the last 2 packages of cheese, I know it is past time for a commissary run. The good thing is both fridge and freezer are nice and clean.

@faerywings That was quite a time for the field trip... Wow, EMT called, parking full, and lots of people there for the lesson. Hope you get your grocery order done. Yes, the price of food seems to be climbing every time I go now. Good luck on getting things done.

Time to get my shower then do a few chores around the house. HAGD

Morning everyone and Happy Monday! Well its full on winter here this morning Ugh!! We got more snow yesterday afternoon and throughout the night. Lots of the white stuff out there so DH has taken my CRV to work again. That's ok I wasn't planning on going anywhere. Yesterday was mostly spent in the kitchen, baking up a storm and stocking up with all the goodies that DH takes in his lunch kit. I should be good for awhile now. Had a delicious roast beef dinner with the Asparagus recipe that I shared with @faerywings . A extra bonus that the smoked cheddar cheese that I needed was on a really good sale went I went shopping for groceries on Saturday! Today is our Sweet Sadie's 14th birthday!! I can't believe she is 14 already!! Our son sent us some videos of her snowboarding with her BF yesterday, she is getting really good at the sport! She already is a great skier, now she can snowboard with her Dad! I think I might have to do a page with Erin's pre-release today! MIL and FIL had another showing of their place yesterday afternoon, but still no word on how it went. They can't accept any other offers anyway until after the 7th when the conditions come off, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that the financing will go through. The waiting is the hardest part!! :waiting:. Well that's not true the hardest part will be to get them to part with all of that stuff LOL. The only thing I really need to do today is to clean the bathrooms as all the rest of the housework and :laundry:has been done. I should have plenty of time to work on doing some scrapping today!

@faerywings - Wow that is crazy that someone fainted at the Park! Hope your Boss was ok with you having to park in her driveway for the whole time! Too funny that all those Boy Scouts were in Spring Crazy mode! I bet it was a loud and rambunctious group! Glad that the weather was so nice for you though! Wish spring would show up here!! I am hoping for better weather for our hike this week, I really need to get outside and get some fresh air and exercise! Hope you get your to do list completed today!

@BrightEyes - Glad to hear that your back is a bit better today! Ohh those winds must be kind of scary! Sorry that it is keeping you from a good nights sleep! Hope you get your Rx filled and you find everything you need at the commissary! That is a job I need to do soon, clean out the freezer in the garage, its getting very frosty and hasn't been cleaned out in a long time. Yes I have to make a list of things that I want all the time too, but then sometimes I forget to take the list with me LOL.

Ok I am off to fill my coffee cup again :coffeedrinker: and get going with the day ! Have a great Monday everyone! :waving3:

Ha! If forsythia is that hardy I should consider getting some. I love their bright sunny color!

Sorry you didn't sleep well with all the noise and wind disturbance last night, but glad your back is better today so far.

Oh no! Back to snow?! Hope it warms up quickly and all disappears for you! But, that being said, I would like to wake up to a nice snow for only ONE day so I could get some pictures! And then it can all melt and go away for another year! ;)
