Happy Monday!!! Is anyone feeling the "happy" today? Maybe I will, after another cup or two of coffee. (or 3, 4....)
It is my goddaughter's 15th birthday! Its crazy to think she is 15. Its is such a huge jump for some reason over 14. The boy I babysit is turning 10 on Friday. I remember sitting on the beach with his mom saying to her, "I think you need to take a pee test" when she couldn't figure out why she was late. I mean, she knew "how" but didn't think it was possible. LOL
Time is flying!!!
I made her a card yesterday and have to get in the mail today. I really cannot see spending $4-5 on a Hallmark card anymore. The one I did is beautiful, if I do say so myself. The subject matter is beautiful for sure.This girl is seriously "model-beautiful." No exaggeration. I'll have to get it in the gallery soon. I am sure I will make one for my friend's son too. Star Wars Theme for him :)

Off to work later this morning for the woman who's son has a crush on me. I better brush my hair extra nice LOL
I also have to finish cleaning my kitchen. I made a mini-Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Roast chicken, two kind of potatoes, stuffing, gravy, salad. It was really good. My IL's were up and Cait's BFF also was over, so it really was like a party. MIL washed and I dried most of the dishes by my roasting pan is still soaking. And Thank goodness for leftovers!:clap2:

That is about it for me today.

How is YMG doing with the retirement? I know he is working still but is the schedule/work environment much different to him?

Meg- your devotional page was beautiful! Hope that things stay settled for Jeff. Who knew guinea pigs could be moody??? Too funny. I hope Sparkles behaved better!

Trudy- Blackeberry jelly sounds yummy! And messy when it breaks.... hope it wasn't too much of a mess. Hope you had a successful scrap day too!

hiya. it's MAMMOGRAM DAY!!! tra-la!! enough said.

i'm also going to the Apple store with my daughter's iPad to try to discover why it won't talk to her computer or mne, either.

another gray day here. it's honestly damaging my brain. i hope the mammogram cheers me up. :twitch: :mmph:

Good morning. Quick one from me before heading off to work! I would pay really good money for a "do nothing" day. I am soooo tired. Who wants to go to work when they are soooo tired? But so far, our snow event is not too bad so that's something to be thankful about. Just wish that it really felt like spring and that we wouldnt spring forward on 3/10. The thought makes me exhausted. That means back to going to work in the dark and having extra daylight in the evening doesn't help when there is still snow on the ground. Yuck!

Enough whining...need to get ready for work. Have a good day ladies!
 
I am about to have my cup of coffee....kids are outside with Mike to catch the bus...gotta hit the shower and then we head down to the country to pick up Mike's truck....between the two vehicles....I have to take him $400....bleh.....but that's better than $400 or more a month in car payments!!! It's going to kill me to shell out all the cash for a new car when the time comes (hopefully a good 10 more years) When we bought my CRV brand new, our payments were $412 a month, and when I made that last payment, I swore that was the last one I would ever make!!!!!! So far, so good on that promise!!!! We typically spend between $500-$1200 in a years time on car maintenance/repair and our insurance is cheaper and our personal property taxes are A LOT cheaper!!!

VERY LAZY DAY for me yesterday......I played on the computer a little bit, watched Lifetime movies and played some apps on my pad.... on the other hand, I have LOTS AND LOTS OF WORK TO DO TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Morning O fam- workout is done- Phylis so glad I did not spew my oatmeal- because reading your post I thought - hey it's Mammo Monday!! I need to get mine set up for this year!
 
Oops- Hey Linda, Linda and Chris I hope you have marvelous mondays!! I have become the Nike girl- do it now- yup day 3 of don't put that down put it away- so scary- lets see how that plays out at work!!
 
Morning gals.. brrr cold here this morning, the sun has been shining the last couple of days so the temps really dip down at night. But that's ok, cause the sun is shining!!:becky:

Chris - So cute that the lady you clean for has a son with a crush on you!! Maybe he will help you clean again today? The blackberry jelly did turn out really good and I even managed to get another 1/2 batch out of the juice that I had left so we are good for jelly for quite a while now. Yes it was a mess to clean up all that sticky sweet jelly, it ran all over the counter, down one cupboard and all over the floor. Yuck!! As for scrapping, well that didn't happen, but that's another story. :mmph:

LindaS - I think you should play hooky from work today!! Stay home and crawl back into bed and get some rest!! :becky: No one would miss you, right?? LOL

Phylis - Hope your Mammogram isn't the most exciting thing that happens to you today! But your comment about it made me laugh out loud too, thanks for that this morning!!

Laurie - Yikes what's happening to you?? All your exercise must be doing something to your organizational part of your brain!! LOL You have a new outlook on life!!

Nana Linda - We are shopping for a new vehicle soon and man I do not want to do the car payment thing again. But our Honda Van is just to big now that its just me driving it. I love it , but its 13 yrs old and time to get something a bit smaller. Hope you have a good day today and don't work too much, its more fun to just be on the computer having fun!

Well all the scrapping I wanted to do did not happen, MG kept calling me every five mins. to help with this or to get him that grrrr!! Would I run to the hardware store to pick up a new elbow for the dryer, we need spray paint the brackets that hold up the bar for my rack to hang my clothes on. Could you spray those for me?? Sheese!! I really wanted my laundry room fixed up, but was it worth all this? Oh well its all done now and it looks wonderful, nice and bright and clean!! Wonder what he will keep me doing next Sunday :confused: I love that man, but just leave me alone!!! Good thing I get two days a week during the week to myself!!! Hope you all have a great Monday, I am off to work :wave:
 
good morning - I cant tell you how tired I am of wind. Our temp is going to be 40 but with the wind it is so cold. That wind chill factor is the pits! I may have quiet today because my son is mad at me and wont talk to me. He is going to the gym and asked me to make his protein shake and I said no. He was so taken aback. He asked why. I said because you do not do what I asked and should it not be a two way street. So he said when I have something relevant to say he will answer. OK by me. Had a nice treat on Sunday my DH made a terrific scallop, shrimp veggies and garlic dinner and then a pound cake muffins for dessert.

Chris have fun with that cute little boy today!

Nana I know what you mean about car payments. We have always kept our cars until they almost rusted away. LOL. Luckily the struggle to find a new car ended when our son became a mechanic for a Ford dealership. He actually gets a discount and works for family members too. I love my new car.

Trudy I really feel that men dont like it when they see women sitting at a computer while they are working on a home project LOL. Glad you love your new laundry room.

Meg I have to say that I never thought that guinea pigs had moods. Hope yours work out their differences.

Good evening - home for the night- trash night- now that I have said it, I will remember to put it out- we tend to have very little trash so I can go 3 weeks without putting it out. Good news- was able to get time off for the golf vacation my husband wants to take. I don't golf, but it is at Hilton Head, so I will get to see my sister and shop! More good news- the book cases are gone! I put two bookcases down at the bottom of the driveway yesterday (benefit of living on a main road in the middle of no where) and tonight they were gone. Kind of sad as they were the first "real" furniture I bought, but not sad, because I don't need them and I don't have to drag them back up before tomorrows yucky weather!
