This entire bit of not knowing what day it is has to stop. My new insomnia routine is to wake up in the middle of the night to remind myself what day it is. It is a useless trick since I forget all of it when I wake up for good. Thank goodness for the Ooos so I can say that "at least I know what day it is at one point each day."
The weather has changed a lot, it poured most of Sunday and it is very windy out there right now. It was a good day to be in the kitchen although I wasn't in there as long as I expected. The chicken was defrosted enough for me to separate the pieces and throw half back into the freezer. I will cook the rest today- some for dinner tonight, some to put aside for future meals. I did make the rice pudding which came out really good and put aside some for my dad. They are coming up on Saturday for Easter- well, to bring us Easter Pie! Next year I swear, I am going down to help my mom make them. I have made them with her a long time ago but it is one of the many traditional dishes with no written recipe that will be lost otherwise.
Scott had a nice time celebrating Passover, I love that he is able to do that with them even though he isn't religious at all. Leah isn't either but because of the family's history, I know it is very important to Arlene. He has a "Jewish" name that she uses when she prays in Hebrew. Warms this mom's heart that his other mother (see, I can share!!!!! ha!!) loves him so much.
I finished a page for an April challenge and I really love how it came out. I think I am going to do some more scrapping today.
