Not even Lions are here. Full-on Winter Warlock
th

Slight exaggeration, it isn't snowing today but it was yesterday. Today is colder than yesterday (19*F) so if I combine the two days-- Winter Warlock for the "win." I am so glad that I didn't take the plastic off of the windows yet. I put my snow boots away but that was it so far. It looks like these frigid temps are only going to be a couple of days but that is more than I would like.
Sunshine, I am laser-focusing on the sunshine. *nods*

I had a decent day yesterday and my parents we really good- in all ways that I noticed. They weren't bickering and they seems mentally sharp. That is a big relief. My mom said that her blood sugar is starting to go up too (she doesn't have diabetes and it doesn't run in her family as far as I know). She is really going to have to get all of this info together and sit down with a nutritionist. Low sodium, low potassium, and low carb. I don't have any idea what she is going to be able to eat. I will admit this here, part of me is angry that she waited so long to take care of herself. She doesn't like Drs and put off anything medical and now a lot of this is too late to be fixed. :( I won't tell her that, but I am glad I can say it here. to you and I know you won't think I am awful.

HA!!! I just 100000% OWNED myself with what I wrote up there. Owned! Hahahaha!!!!!!!!!
When I went to the Dr last week she asked if I had a colonoscopy and I said no, that she had ordered the Cologuard test the last time I was in and never heard from the company. I got the kit last Thursday but with the week I had been having, I shoved it in the corner of my office area. Someone called yesterday to see if I had used it/any questions which I guess is now something I have to do. Can't be a total hypocrite and ignore healthcare because I would rather not deal with it. *nods* Owned... :/

I am going to be bundled up today and hope to get all of the blankets and sofa cover washed while bundled.

HAGD!!

@LSlycord How fun!!!! between the concert and the weather and the overnight-- magic!! The trip is going to be incredible. My friend's DD spent a semester in Italy and a semester at Disney and she made sure that she took a couple of trips to visit her DD in each place. :)

@BrightEyes I hope that DD was feeling better and that she was able to enjoy the family company. Poor lady, it has to be awful but she has a fab mom taking care of her.
Taxes.... ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... I still need to figure out what is going on with Cait's. Something is just not right. She should NOT have to pay taxes if she only made 3K. I can't figure out what is wrong.

@bcgal00 We will miss you for sure, but are happy that you are making this move and hope that you take all of the time that you need to heal. Pop in if you can but we are keeping your place warm for you xo

@Cherylndesigns Ava --girl... oooooh boy! Haha.
I am in love with the puppy bellies. Puppy bellies are so cute and plump and round. You are going to need more weekends to rest - just listening to their puppies' antics is gonna be exhausting LOL

big hugs!!

Good morning ladies! Yesterday was spent doing some more planning of Europe, buying some more things for Bo’s Easter basket and starting to replace plants. Picked up 3 new hibiscus to replace some of the builder grade shrubs alongside the house. Had some help at the nursery getting two of my plants potted. One is full of succulents and it is the cutest thing. Now I only have about 11 pots left. Most of my hibiscus are coming back strong from the winter so that has me happy. Cooked a meatloaf, baked potato and roasted broccoli. And now we are back to Monday…

@faerywings I'm glad that your parents were on best behavior. Very, very gentle nagging here...do the Cologuard test this week.

@Cherylndesigns I can’t believe that you now have two little puppies running around. They are adorable! You need to get more rags! LOL

@bcgal00 thinking of you as you take on this very busy week. Hoping that the dogs don’t get too stressed.

@BrightEyes so glad that things are going well with Chari. I know that the pain must be hard to watch but you are such a good mom!

@tanteva you are rocking the gallery! Superstar!

Thank you darling! I'm just scrapping like crazy to catch up with myself. February & March has been CRAP. And now that I really thought I would be able to sprint to the finish line - I have to go to work 3 days this week. Thursday I'm working the evening shift, tomorrow there's a "pre-meeting" for a "proper" meeting on Friday. Can't they understand I need to scrap???!!! LOL

Good Monday morning all... It is another rainy day! It will be a good morning however as my brother and sister-in-law are popping in for a visit! I haven't seen my brother since just before Christmas!! They have been in OZ with their kids and grands and just got home a few days ago. They usually need three or four days to catchup on their sleep and wrap their heads around the time change, so they kind of just keep to themselves in the house until they feel up to getting out again. It will be so nice to catch up with them this morning. So just a quick pop in here as I need to get into the shower and get dressed before they get here. I will catch up with all of you later on today, I promise!!

Good afternoon all! I'm just getting on my computer. Adrienne and Ava have been here since I got up this morning. They both work from their phones, so they can get away. The puppies are at "day care" so Ava had a minute to herself. She brought the girls over last night and are they ever adorable together! BTW, we decided to change the black lab's name - Sailor just didn't "roll off the tongue". LOL I could never think of it. She asked us if we cared if she named her Bailee - our beloved black lab/Shepherd Mix was Bailey. Of course, we didn't care, so the new baby is Bailee.

Ellie crawled right in the front door, of course, and Bailee lingered on the porch. She's very shy and so unlike Ellie. Bailee is very shy and quiet. Ellie chased Daisy all around the house, yapping at her and good natured Daisy played patiently with her. Yes, Linda @LSlycord I'm gonna need more rags.

Chris @faerywings I'm glad your parents got along so well. Sounds like your mom has some problems, but if they're diet-related, they're fixable - she just has to be willing to fix them. I hate doctors, too, but have begrudgingly gone along with the "required testing" - not without a lot of grumbling. Funny story - I put off the Cologuard test too until they offered me $50 to take it. I did it then. I figured they were pretty desperate to get people to actually use them. I know so many people who got it and never did it.

Kay @BrightEyes hope your daughter is doing as well as can be expected at this point.

I'm thinking of all of you and sending hugs. I need to get off of here and get a few things done.

@faerywings Glad to hear the good news about your parents :) And I nodded at the self-own. I am notorious for putting off my regularly required blood tests. Yesterday I plodded down to the lab early in the morning, only to find it was shut due to Covid staff shortages. Oh well, I tried ... :p

@bcgal00 thinking of you a lot and hoping it's all going smoothly (or as smoothly as can be hoped!)

@taxed4ever Hope the visit went well!!

It's a nice sunny Autumn day here in New Zealand and I am about to go off and visit the notary to get some documents sorted ... an excuse for a walk in the sun in any case.

I am utterly stressed over the house sale as in typical fashion I have missed the market again LOL. Should have sold it late last year before the tenant's fixed term lease expired when the market was hot (but I didn't want to disrupt them or kick them out just before Christmas) Now the market has completely frozen ....

There's apparently more interest in my place than in most ... but still not enough. So I am assuming I'll have to pack up my apartment and move back in so I can be there making it look inhabited and pretty/looking after the garden/saving money on rent.

Meanwhile, on the good news front, my eldest still hasn't tested positive for Covid despite her partner having it (and he is doing fine). AND I was really happy to hear that her partner's parents are getting a dog (a black lab) that they will be able to 'share' (they live next door). Yay for dogs :)

My food processor gave up today and I need to get a new one. Now the question is ... should I just get the cheapest one I can find or should I google & google & compare & compare until I find the **perfect** one - no matter what it costs? Oh, the problems a woman can have!!!

Happy afternoon everyone! Well my brother and sister-in-law stayed for two and a half hours and we happily chatted and drank coffee! I will be bussing all day now, should have made decaffeinated coffee . Oh well it was so great to see them both again and to catch up on all the goings on while they were away! Too bad my DH was not here to visit with them. He just adores my brother and SIL! So this afternoon is kind of a bust as I have more baking to do to keep my DH in Keto breakfast supplies! I hope to get a soup started later today, but it might have to wait until tomorrow. Hopefully I will be at the pool early in the morning to get my laps in. Spring break is over and so the pool should be less busy.

@faerywings - So great to hear that your visit with your Mom and Dad went well and that they were not bickering!! Ughhh on the winter weather returning! It was a snow day for Heather's boys today as they got a ton of snow over the weekend! Hopefully your Mom will find out about a good diet for her! It's never too late to change your way of eating! Hopefully it all helps her feel much better and to live a nice long life!! So many people think that they are too old to change, but that's bunk, its never too late!! My Gary got our taxes done yesterday and he was mentally exhausted afterward! Need a coffee and a break, but we both are gettting a refund, so hooray!! He is glad to have it over and done with!

@LSlycord - Your concert must have been amazing!! So glad that you got to go! Wow you have been busy with your planning of the trip to Europe and all the shopping for plants! Yup and now its Monday already, where does the time go??

@tanteva - You really have been rockin the Gallery girl!! Yes WTH? doesn't your work know that there are far more important things for you do?? LOL.

@Cherylndesigns - OMG those puppies are so cute!! Love those big bellies! How nice to have all the entertainment from them, bet Daisy is exhausted at the end of their visits LOL. The new name is sweet and now you can think of Rae's granddaughter when you call her name as Bailey was her name too!

@Lynn Grieveson - Oh wouldn't you just know it!! What a shame that you missed the busy selling period with the Market!! It always happened to us and we had many, many moves because of my DH's job. Glad to hear that your daughter has not tested positive for Covid! She must have a great immune system! How fun to be able to share the new dog! The benefits of living next door!!

@tanteva - I would get a good processor and not a cheap one, especially if you use it a lot!! You don't want to have to buy a new one every few months! I just love my Cuisinart Food Processor! But then I suppose it depends on what you can afford! So the dilemma continues LOL.

Ok I better get busy in the kitchen, perhaps tomorrow will be a more productive day for me scrapping wise than today!

Hi everyone. Tomorrow is move out day. This is our last night here. There are lots of little last minute things to keep us busy today but we've pretty much kept on schedule. I was so tired last night I fell asleep on the couch around 8:30. My wrist arthritis and thumb tendonitis are acting up as is my left foot joint...ugh. Its all inconvenient and a bit painful but I'll take all that over my back acting up. The hard stuff is done and now its just little things so I don't have to worry about anymore lifting and straining my back, so it looks like I got thru this without hurting my back....yay! Looking forward to resting in the hotel room for 2 nights and think the dogs will settle once we're there b/c they are so stressed over all the changes and activity here. Once we are in the hotel I think they'll finally sleep. They refused to eat this morning which is normal for Taz when he is stressed but this is so abnormal for my little foodie, Remi.

Remi saw her first bear this morning. A cub walked across the front of the house and then disappeared over the neighbor's fence. She barked like crazy as did Taz so the bear didn't come close to the house. I put the bird feeders away, it's so sad to see them flying around the porch looking for food but at least it's spring so they can find food in the wild.

I'll take the dogs to the dog park later. I'll take them tomorrow to get their nails clipped to get them out of the house for a bit as the movers load up the truck.

Hope everyone is well. I haven't had time to read personals but I'll have time when I get into the hotel room on Wed.

Time to get back to the final stuff to do. Have a good day.
