Can you believe it is the last week of March?
March usually drags and drags (and drags) while I wait for the dirty, icky snow that is piled up to melt. No need to do that this year. No snow anywhere which also means no winter's worth of dog poop being uncovered either. That's a double bonus!

It was still windy most of yesterday but warm enough to spend some cleaning up sticks from the yard. I was out there for an hour and a half, picking up sticks and branches. I put some of them in the pile that the kids use for the firepit but most of them went back to the woods. I picked up some of the leaves that were in the sunnier patches of the gardens. I moved so much stuff around last year, then took pictures of it to make a Garden Planner. Have I done anything with it? Nope.

Cait and Tom made an absolutely delicious dinner last night- Vegan Philly Cheesesteak. I've been getting some pushback from family and friends when I say that their wedding is going to be vegan, but if this is an example of what some of it will taste like, they will be pleasantly surprised. They sauteed shallots and peppers and then added sliced seitan, liquid smoke, and cashew-based queso. It was really, really good. I can't wait to tell my BFF, the recipe is from the cookbook that her DS got Cait for Christmas.

I am not 100% sure what I am going to be working on today, it is clean out the fridge day. Other than that, I might make some dog treats since they are getting low. I want to finish the grocery order today, in case they don't read my note to not push it over until Tuesday.
As for MMM:
Not a clue! I should do something with my nails and cuticles, they are getting dry and ragged. I am also thinking I should get another crochet pattern picked out but that means I need to sort through my yarn stash first.

What about you, what is your MMM?
MMM - Me Me Monday - What can you do for yourself today? Bubble bath, manicure, go shopping, read a good book, scrap etc.

Whatever you do, have fun doing it!

@Nonni F It is much better to deal with rain than snow. Mmmmhmmm :nod1:
Can you find/post your first LO? I'd love to see it. We can all point and laugh at each other hahaha!

@bcgal00 Oh lordy, that Remi, pouting all day. She is such a piece of work and I love it! It will be interesting to see how she reacts when you come back after your trip. It would not surprise me in the least if she gives you a bit of attitude or a cold shoulder. Maybe she will turn into a Velcro Dog. How has she been if you leave her for a night or two?
I know Jen will spoil them. How is Jen doing since she quit the job, feeling better? I sure hope so. Please tell her I am thinking of her. ♥
The eagles and pigeons must have been fascinating to watch. Just amazing.

Have a wonderful day :blowkiss:

Hi Chris, time is running out! And the older you get, the faster it races. I feel like it's always Friday and we have to agree on weekend shopping. I had to laugh so hard when you called yourself a chatterbox. Now imagine you were different ... how boring it would be here sometimes in our round. Especially for me the everyday things are so interesting. Here I learn much more about you and your way of life, which is not at all different from ours, I think. Then I guess we are not so far away from each other. Over the weekend I worked on my two LO's. Don't you find it difficult to always come up with something new? I would like to work more abstractly. But I don't feel it. Strange, isn't it? I'll make an effort to change that, though.
Since I cook meat and vegetables for my dogs, I'm actually at the stove a lot. They get a lot of home-cooked food in addition to dry food. Today it snowed and thundered like crazy for an hour! Strange weather. Since I can now walk a little better without crutches, I am quickly through with the household. We have only a small house with 90 square meters, but a large garden. That's enough for two of us. There is still enough to do.
So, then I wish you and all who are still popping in a nice Monday. Now the sun is shining like crazy again. :dance2:

Good morning ladies. We watched the three last shows of The Last Of Us last night. Pedro Pascale is so good in that role (love him in Mandalorian too). Today I'll putter around the house and go the dog park after lunch. Have to figure out dinner too. I need to pull some meat out of the freezer.

Back in a minute. Remi is pawing at me and give me the look LOL. Time to feed the birds and play outside for a few minutes.

I'm back. I fed the birds and played with Remi. Jen woke up and came out back with Bella. She is pre-menopausal now and the sweating is horrific for her these last few weeks. Poor girl. She's not been sleeping well lately b/c of the hot flashes. I told her to put an insulated lunch bag on her night stand with a few little cold packs in them so she can reach in, grab one and cool herself off, when she is in bed sleeping.

@faerywings Glad you enjoyed the dinner. It's true that there are many vegan dishes that taste really good, they just never taste like the real thing and that's something you have to let go of to be able to enjoy the different flavors. There was a queso dip at Costco that was very good but it didn't actually taste cheesy but it was a good flavor nonetheless. As for Remi turning into a velcro dog, she already is. She couldn't possibly get any worse LOL. She has to be in the room with me (and the bathroom) about 85% of the day. She loves Darrell and Jen but only for a few minutes and then is back to me.

@Su_Sanne Sounds like your dogs are well fed. Our dogs get a premium dog food but I don't cook for them. I too don't work with abstract styles. I'm ok with it and am quite comfortable in my more traditional style of scrapping. But if you feel like you want to experiment more, try scraplifting something that catches your interest. Chris is really creating some beauties, try finding something of her's to scraplift.

Coffee is bubbling away and Remi is whining, telling me that its time for morning training (with treats). I started doing that as a way to get her past her neurosis with the coffee maker sounds (which worked) but now the game of training during that time has stuck with her and she loves it. So, I'd better go.

HAGD.

Thanks for the tip, Rae. I'll check out Chris Scraps. Maybe you can scrap Remi?

Good Monday Morning everyone! The fog is slowly lifting from the lake below and it looks like it might be a sunny day. I am now the proud owner of a pretty little kayak!! SIL Linda and I got the same ones in beautiful blue/turquoise colours and now we are going to have to put some kind of decal/decoration on them so we know what one belongs to whom. So they are sitting in our den downstairs so I can get that done today. I think I will put a hummingbird on mine and Linda wants a dragonfly. I can cut that out with my silhouette machine and the oracle 651 vinyl that I have on hand. It is supposed to be waterproof so we will see if it stands up to the lake water. Today I am going back to the store to get the lifejacket that I want. We hummed and hawed about getting it, thinking that maybe we could find one somewhere else. But of course that did not happen. So I am heading back to spend more money LOL.

@faerywings - That Vegan dish sounds very yummy!! It is amazing what you can do with Meatless recipes these days! Uggh clean out the fridge day is no fun at all!

Ohhh of course my phone is ringing and its Heather calling for a face time call. I will have to come back later on today to catch up with everyone. :bye2:

Good evening, everyone. Busy day here in the 603. Made my first visit to the Orthopedic Specialists. Walked away with them concerned about BOTH knees instead of just the right one. Aso got injections in both and a follow up in eight weeks. We shall see. I'll take the optimism over an immediate surgery appointment, so I was happy with what will hopefully be some relief.

I'll start digging around for that first layout @faerywings it was on my old external HD that crashed, but I think I should be able to find it on the MC FB page. I shall return.....

Found it... It's not quite as bad as I remember it but I should re do it just for fun....

the best part or should I say the worst part of the process was; I had no idea at all how to move layers so when I found something I wanted to add I'd delete everything that needed to go above it and start over putting them in order. It was quite the process. lol
