HellooooO, my dear Oooos!
Happy Monday to you all. Can you believe this is the last full week of March? :jawdrop3: I wish it was warmer -- where is the lamb? In like a lion, out like a lamb? There is no lamb around here. LOL! I shouldn't complain, it should get into the mid-50s each day this week. At least the sun is shining already, what a pretty sky out of my window.

Are you surprised to see me this morning, that I made it home in one piece and not frozen solid yesterday? I am! *G* I was thinking to myself for a long time yesterday morning that I was  Driving to the hike, the temps dropped to 25* and all of the rain puddled on the roads had turned to ice. The trail itself was mostly in good shape but there were more/higher water crossings than normal. Thank goodness for the guides, they were awesome helping everyone get through the icy spots. It was "only" 4 miles but there were times it felt longer than that :D I need to get into better shape.

I went home, took a nice hot shower, cooked dinner and that was about it!

This week should be quieter, literally and figuratively. No construction or moving of furniture or painting. I am not at Weis but am cleaning for my parents and my friend. With the open schedule, my plans for the week are to clean my own house and to get working on the bridal shower plans. That's it, those are my goals and I have to make sure I do it. Have. To.
Perhaps it is a good thing that the weather is still cold here. If we had 70* days, all I would want to do is begin spring cleanup. I don't have time for that yet.

What things do you have going on this week? Any goals you have to hit?

Make it a great one whatever you do today!!

@BrightEyes What a wonderful surprise to have your grandson come by to help with the yard. I bet it looks fantastic! And now I won't worry about you going out there and doing too much on your own. ;)
Have you found out when Jim is coming this week? Take advantage of his cooking skills! Does your DIL cook traditional Philipino foods?
I hear ya, where did March go?
Hope that your pain levels are way down today.

@bcgal00 Look at that sweet deer! They must love the dumpsters, can't blame them for wanting fresh donuts either. :p
How is D feeling? Poor guy! Gary sneezed like that yesterday- over and over and over- and I knew his already sore back was going to be hurting even more from it. Never thought about it being so intense to get whiplash from it. I hope D is lots better with the meds. Are you feeling back to normal now too?

@taxed4ever Thank you for checking in, we have missed you! I can't imagine the stress and being pulled in so many directions, between your ILs and the loss of your brother. Big hugs to you and your family. I hope that the service wasn't too sad and that you shared the good memories and laughter more than tears.

@Cherylndesigns Sending you really big hugs. I'm sorry that you have hit some difficult times but glad that you have an awesome family to lean on. I hope that today is an easier one for you. ♥

@vickyday Sounds like the book is informative and I hope that it has good tips in there for you. The gut restoration chapter has to be a "must-read" section.
hahah! That's funny that you went to BK after the sermon, I wonder if the pastor gets kickbacks from BK! :rotfl:
Enjoy the day with your church friends!

A really quick in and out this morning. I am sick. Started with a headache around noon yesterday. Crawled into my nice clean bed shortly after supper. Glad I felt up to changing the sheets earlier. Then I realized that I was shivering with cold. Took my temp - 100.2* and the headache was worse. Tossed and turned most of the night. Temp is 99.9 this morning and the headache is still there. Going to fix some toast as the tummy feels empty then back to bed.

WOW! 25* is too cold for me! Are we talking flat hiking or mountainous hiking? Mountainous would be out for me!
Glad you will have a quieter week! Hope you get the bridal shower plans started!

HA! I don't think the pastor gets kickbacks, LOL!
Yes, I can't wait to get to the gut restoration part! But it won't be today since we are not going to be home. I need to leave soon to pick up Ilene. We are going to grab a bite to eat and bring Mark something back so he can wolf it down before we leave!

Oh no, Kay! So sorry you are not feeling well! I'm glad your fever is down this morning! Take care of yourself! Do you have any of the home covid tests?

Quick in and out as I need to get ready to leave. I'm heading to pick up Ilene, grab something to eat, bring Mark something back for him to chow down before we leave for the mini Bible conference (4 preachers) this afternoon. It is at the church that I take the widows to every month which is an hour away west of us.

I've had a busy morning already. Woke at 5:30 for the potty. Got back in bed but couldn't go to sleep, so I got up when Mark got up for work. Made the bed, ran the sweeper, got dressed to go to the pharmacy to get Mark's meds. Went to the grocery store to get a few things. Came back to the house and put things away. Straightened my hair for the day. Called Ilene to make sure she was still going with us. Now I must get dressed to leave.

HAGD to all who stop by! :bye2:

Good morning my lovelies,

It's dark and gloomy out - 55 and light rain expected. UGH. This bi polar weather is getting old. I want my 70's back.

Chris, kudos to you for going out in that cold weather yesterday. You are a brave (or kooky) I don't know which woman. I think I'd rather hike around my house - indoors where it's warm.

Kay, I'm so sorry that you're sick. Get back in those clean sheets and snuggle up. Get better soon. Sending hugs.

Vicky @vickyday hope you have a good day with Ilene and at the mini Bible conference.

I'm doing a little better today. I just put my food order into to Walmart and it's going to be ready for pick-up between 4 and 5. The kids picked up a few things for me yesterday, but I needed more than that. I told them I wanted to peruse the store. I need a new broom (how exciting is that?) and I wanted to look online and decide which one I wanted. I got a Libman - figured you can;t go wrong with that name; they've been around since the Stone Age. They surprised me with some ToFurkey - tofu turkey "sausages" and boy are they good! I had two for dinner last night and darn it, I forgot to order more. I need to get back on the app the add those. Chris @faerywings have you/your kids tried them? I just added them to my order and ToHam.

I worked on two layouts for prerelease last night and that always improves my outlook. Scrapping is still one of my best therapies.

I'm going to get off of here and go see what I need to do. I'm at least a day behind in my 100 Day Project.

Hugs to all.

Good morning ladies.
@vickyday Here's the amazon link to read about it (we are in Canada but I'm sure a similar one is available to you)

Had a nice afternoon yesterday, took my camera and snapped a few winter landscape shots along the drive around town. Took a back road which was really pretty with all the snow and miles of blue sky up above. Ended up on the little highway at the south end and took that, planning on going to the dog park but as I passed our tourist spot "Big Rock",

Here's a page link if you want to read more about it.

I saw there was only one car there so drove in to let the dogs play in there. The gophers are all over the place but after a minute of running after them, Remi stopped caring and Taz never did bother them, so they played in the snow, then a duck-toller dog showed up and she played with Remi, chasing snowballs. Taz just ran with glee all over the field, he's so funny to watch as he runs at full speed nowhere, then suddenly stops and then trots back to me.

I ordered an 8 TB EHD for photos, my other one is full now. I'll have to transfer a few of the smaller EHD's over to the big one, to free up space on the USB hub. I have 8 spots but they are all full. It's hard to believe that a few years ago, a 2 T EHD seemed like lots of space LOL. Not anymore.

D is enjoying his wrap around heating pad, is resting a lot and taking his meds. I might make him banana bread later (for me too of course).

@faerywings Sounds like a good hike yesterday and good exercise. I am not sure how far we walk on our bird hikes but I figure at least 2 km if not more. We are usually gone for 3 hours.

I'm getting coffee and doing some CT work before getting back to some house chores before heading to dog park later. BFN

Thank you for the link, Rae!
I'm about ready for another EHD, too. I'll have to get the 8T one! My new camera takes 16mb pictures compared to 8 on my old one.

Thank you
I really wasn't thinking about you getting an earlier appointment, per se. I was thinking you could just complete the process on line without having to go to an appointment. But I guess not. Anyway, I hate that you have had so much trouble getting things sorted out! And it isn't fair that you had to pay the arrears when it wasn't your fault! Stupid bureaucratic nonsense!
I agree - at least UHC has told me that they would cover any charges that I've gotten. That's a relief. Some charges from Chuck's emergency surgery slipped through the cracks, of course. We're not supposed to have any out of pocket expenses. It's always the anesthesia and blood work that try to squeak past insurance. I would think they just want to get paid. Of course, those came to me after he had passed away and I canceled his insurance - which was quite a bit more than mine, due to his age. The other problem was that the representatives from UHC (that live on the other side of the world) told me that "everything was taken care of". They even took me through the whole process of getting everything switched over to my account - routing number, etc. Then, I find out that they didn't do it. Why can't people just do what they're supposed to do and I can't stand that these big companies outsource this very sensitive information especially at a time that you're grieving. Grrrrrrr
so much, Vicky. Can't keep a good woman down long, huh??? I always say that in my head when I get down.
