Good morning and Happy Monday!

I can't decide which of my kids will be more tired today. Scott goes back to school after the last week off for Spring Break, or Cait who has had three night of rotten sleep thanks to Electronic Baby. I guess I can throw Gary into that mix, since his cold seems to be getting worse. He has chronic pneumonia, maybe that is complicating things? Although, I am not sure the dr would do about it since he is already on 2 different abx.

Have you all been having a nice time at the party? I felt pretty much MIA here yesterday. It was nice visiting with my parents. The bagel place in their town makes the *best* bagels, so it is always a given that they bring them for b-fast. I know that they are very worried about me too and I wish I could fake feeling better for them.

Then I had Gary hook me up to the IV and spent a couple of hours laying in bed, crocheting, this time, fingerless gloves. So far, they look good but who knows what will happen when I try to stitch them closed.:D

Today I am finally!!!! getting to the dentist. I have not had a cleaning in years and years. I never had dental insurance before so it will be nice to get a bit of a discount for that. With the amount of coffee I drink, my poor teeth are really stained and I would bet I have at least one cavity. :(
I really lucked out that I had insurance when my tooth cracked a couple of months ago or that would have been very expensive.

Guess that is about it from me. I hope that you all have a wonderful Monday!!!
Hugs and love and coffee!!!!!!!

good morning, (it´s still morning here,or is it already midday ?)

Chris: Dentist, the wrong word on a monday *lol*. Although I´m frightend I go to my yearly check and to clean the teeth. But my teeth have become so sensitive, that I need an anesthesia and it still hurts. And really always after the check and the cleaning I become a problem, mostly a root canal treatment .

Change of topic :)

We have no sun here, and it´s really dreary.
Although it is monday it´s a good day, because still one day for the new car we get for our son . He is so excited and I like to see my kids happy. Of course I want to drive the new car too *hahah*

So happy Monday and a good start in the new week !

I think that I am caught up from Saturday's posts, so here are Sunday's personals:

Astrid- i don't know what we did before Netflix!! Gary and I watch way too much tv and Netflix is addicting. Before I had my surgery, Gary talked me into getting a Roku box for our bedroom so I could watch Netflix on that tv. Smart move, because I binge watched a bunch of shows on that. The last one that I was totally addicted to was The Killing- a dark detective series. Now I am watching Haven, which is much lighter, even if based on a Seven King novel ;) I can watch that and crochet (or rip out crochet!!LOL) but still not miss anything.

Shar- That is one big reason we get bored with certain shows, it is like you can predict what is going to happen next because it has already happened 100 times before. (Although, not the Walking Dead-- that one is completely unpredictable!)
Gary and I were thinking about watching Lost ot one point but everyone was so negative about the ending that I knew it would make me crazy so we never started it.
How nice to get to wear your scarf!!! Did you take a pic of you wearing it?
Any news about the deal on the house? Fingers crossed!

Eva!!!!! OMG- I have missed you here. In fact, a week or so ago, I had posted that I missed that wicked sense of humor of yours. And everytime I watched The Killing I thought of you too- it is based on a Swedish novelist, and I wondered if you had read him.
I am so sorry that your life is still crazy. How is John doing? And your hubby?
I hope that you will stick around, and scrap some, or at least chat here with us:)

Jean- Computers truly have minds of their own. I wish there was sense to them. :ranger:
My mom was funny with the e-baby. At first she was sort of freaked out but then thought she was cute, but not as cute as Charleigh the Flour Baby.

Good morning ladies! After being on spring break for a week, I'm not sure how well I'm going to do at getting back into the swing of things. And I'm not expecting that the kids do much better!

We totally hit the ground running! Syd (my 11 year old) has her first soccer practice of the season tonight and I drive carpool so I need to get home from work a little bit early. Shaun (my 12 year old son) has swim practice Monday through Thursday nights because he swims at Midwest Regionals in Minneapolis his weekend. I'm sure that there will be plenty of after spring break homework as well. Oh well, my life in a nutshell.

Chris, I am so sorry to hear how sick you have been. There are no words that I have to tell you. Can't believe that the kids are so grown up. And of course your parents are worried...you know that is what parents do!

Anika, good morning. Yes, it is still morning here! And how nice that your son is getting a car! What a fun memory that will be for him. It should give you some new scrapping material as well.

I did the birthday chat yesterday and won a bunch of prizes. I downloaded PSE13 and scrapped a page. I stumbled around a bit and it was a very simple page, but it is done! And it felt good!

Chris, I forgot to tell you best of luck with the dentist! And I see that Laurie slipped in while I was typing. Boy Laurie, that is a crazy lineup on doctor day. I think that would wear me out. But it would be good to be done with it in one day!

Linda - that is what I thought- why waste several days off with appt. I have already told myself I am going to go out to dinner or get take out that night! Yeah that you scrapped and already have PSE on you laptop!

Sorry that I dropped out of the thread like that- cait come down with a really bad nosebleed, and then started throwing up from it. She didn't make it in to school yet, I am bringing her in after I get the boy I babysit for to the bus, then back home and then back out for the 10 am dentist!
Thank GOODNESS for my mom bringing food so I don't have to worry about dinner tonight!!!

Wow! I guess The Party brought some new friends for morning coffee! So nice to see.

Chris, so sorry for Cait with her bloody nose and then further ramifications. :'( Poor kid. Does she get to return the baby today? I hope so. Big difference between M-babies and one's own, is that IRL, you LOVE your own baby, so the care isn't quite a burden. And hopefully you're a little older and more mature. (But of course...the hormones, and the knowledge that "this is for life!" LOL)

Ugh. Dentist. I didn't mind it so much when it was at least partially covered with our medical insurance, but no longer. We pay 100% out of pocket. I guess the dentist has to put HIS kids thru college too.

I am making headway with tagging my digital stuff. I'm almost through doing the Oscraps goodies (I use them the most!), except for Anna Aspnes creations. I have so much of hers, I'm saving it until the rest is done, because I know it will take me a LONG time to get that category finished, and I wanted some sense of accomplishment.

Someone asked about progress regarding DD's house purchase. They won't know for a couple weeks if the loan application is approved. They are expecting it to be, but they are all so married to the house already, it will be DEVASTATING if for some reason it falls through. Praying all will go smoothly. These "kids" want so much to settle down. They've moved an average of once every 1.5 years during their 16 years of marriage!

Mom bringing food. I can't even imagine it. Never...not once! did my mother bring food to me EVER! She even made it abundantly clear that she resented putting it on the table when I was a kid! LOL DH's mom never once brought food to us either! Oh well, we survived.

Calm (boring?) day for me...laundry and tagging...tagging and laundry. I'm content. I have a washer and dryer in the house, and my computer is running smoothly. "Boring" is good! Maybe I will take a break from tagging and make a LO for one of the monthly challenges. Still not in the party mood. I'd never qualify as a CheeryO!

Is there a coffee smilie? :coffee: ?

Well I had my post almost done and then went and lost the whole dam thing!!!!!! I am not in the mood to repost either, so I hope to catch up with all of you later on today! I have lots to do this morning with the party and then I need to get back to swimming. Skype with DD and Mason and then get the house ready for company that arrives tomorrow from Saskatchewan. Hope you all are enjoying the party and will try to make it to the Chat at 3pm EST with Mariella of Lathia's designs.

I want to party! But life just seems to be in the way. Missed yesterday's chat while at my sister's and haven't done a LO yet. At least I started our taxes today.

Just feeling out of it, so please forgive for skipping personals.

Taxes always make me feel out of it Jean! So my day started out great- did my workout, packed the car headed to work- and somewhere along the way I ended up with something in my tire- I was thankful for all my workouts as I got the spare tire out, loosened the lug nuts figured out where the jack belonged all before hubby (who was home sick) got there. Then he looks at the tires and says- oh we probably will need new tires- yes we did. Then tonight after work I get the car - pay the $$$ for the tires and we have snow- enough to make the roads slick. Good news- no one wants to be out buying groceries!! Now home, ready nearly for bed. Guess I will scrap tomorrow.

What ???? Snow....don´t want to hear this :lalala:

We need tires too, but then decided yesterday that the kids get new "tires" (shoes), which were nearly the same price than the tires:shocked:
