Happy Monday and happy March!!! It is possible that we are going to escape the winter without having any huge snowfall. *knocks wood that I didn't just jinx it all*
The temps this week are all going to be in the 40-50s so the precipitation is all going to be rain. I think by mid-week it will be dry enough for me to start clearing the leaves off of my plants. I think that getting out in some fresh air, even if it is cold would be helpful to me.

I was in a bad mood all day yesterday. No big changes in Floyd. He slept on the sofa by the window almost all day yesterday. Brendan came over to say goodbye to him. When he lived here, he and Floyd bonded. I think Floyd liked him more than any of us. :p (Of course, Brendan being here triggered different anxieties for me but that is out of my hands.)

We had a good time at breakfast. My mom is looking really good. She is almost done with her cardio therapy and has shown a lot of improvement. The nurses there are encouraging her to join the local YMCA and go to their cardiac program for seniors. She and my dad went over for a tour and IMHO, I think they both should sign up and take advantage of the programs. They have classes for arthritis improvement which would be awesome for my dad.

I stressed over food shopping, still no ideas for dinners, nor do I have any motivation to cook. I couldn't deal with cooking at all this weekend, so we ordered pizza on Sat and I made noodles with butter and cheese last night. Pretty pathetic. :eek:hwell:

I have to get that together this morning before I head to the Drs and then my mom's. If my car isn't ready today, my dad and I are going to have to swap tomorrow which might throw my day to shop off. Nor do I have any idea of when Floyd will need me in any aspect... so I feel kind of discombobulated. well, more than usual!!! LOL

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

Rae- did you get to go on your hike? I hope that you, Jen and B had a wonderful afternoon together. I have been seeing the commercials for Tommy, maybe we will have to check that out. We watched three episodes of The Hunters so far.
Good luck with going back to keto again.
Thank you for the good thoughts- It is very appreciated!

Felis- that sums it up- the euthanasia decision is never easy and always feels wrong.
I wish they had a way of saying definitively "it is time." Thank you for your support.
The forgiveness holiday sounds like something similar in the Jewish faith. Leah's mom always says talks about that every year but I can't remember which holiday that is for.
No need to ask for my forgiveness at all! I feel like I know you well enough to understand that you come from a place of caring and kindness and that it has to be difficult to get that across in a different language. It is hard enough to do that in English.
Jumping of the fires is also part of certain Pagan traditions but I can't think of which one off the top of my head. There are more things in common with religions and traditions that not.
Summer. Beach bodies... :faint:

Love and hugs!!

Morning, all. I am moving slowly today. DD#3 and hubby came over yesterday to help straighten out the garage and do a few other chores around the house. My poor body is letting me know that it is not happy - stiff and sore muscles all over. Poor DD is feeling it more than me as she did a lot of moving and hauling stuff around. She had the right idea to move everything into groups of like items in the main part of the garage. Sorted through alot that needs to be donated and stuff to go to the dump. The great thing is we got all the Christmas bins stored all together on garage shelves so it is easily accessible when needed. Son-in-law#3 will come over later on this week to take stuff to the dump. They took a lot that needs to be donated and will drop it off for me.

I had managed to get everything out of the chest-of-drawers in the guest room and started on moving clothes out of the closet. Still have a lot to do to get her space for her clothes. But, today {and maybe tomorrow} will be a rest/recover day.

Chris, so glad to hear your mom is looking and feeling better since she is doing her cardio classes. Hope she and your day will look into other activities there. I know it is tough to watch Floyd as he gets weaker and weaker. <<< hugs >>> Good luck on get the grocery shopping done soon. You are so organized to plan out your meals ahead of time... I am more look for something to fix that day meal planner. LOL

Trudy, glad you were able to step away from the painting for a bit then come back and work on it so you are happy with how it is looking. Glad your client is in no hurry for it so you can take your time to get it done.

Time for another cup of coffee while I wait for the house to warm up enough to take my shower. CYL

Good Monday Morning everyone! It is drizzly here again today. Yesterday the sun came out a bit and we finally got out to the front yard and did our tidying up in the warmth of the sun. It did not last too long though, so it was good that there was not too much to do out there. We were going to clean up the yard on Saturday, but the wind was strong and very chilly!! So we kept ourselves busy with other chores instead. I have some catching up to do here today and then I need to get out to Winners to look for a belt for DH ( I could not convince him to go with me on the weekend) :mmph: Also need to find a new Laundry Hamper, mine is falling apart on me. Oh and I have to tell you that I ended up scrapping my painting :hurt: Yup I am starting from scratch again, I just was not happy with it! Now a clean canvas and a start over, hopefully this time it will be better! Keep your fingers crossed for me. It sure is a good thing my customer is in no hurry at all, it might take me a year to complete it!! LOL.

Chris - Sorry you are feeling discombobulated today! I have been that way all week, with DH being home and interrupting my regular schedule! I love the guy, but I am glad to have him back at work and the house to myself again! What will I do when he actually retires?? So nice to hear that your Mom is looking so much better! I too hope that they both decide to go to the YMCA for the programs, it would be so good for them! Wish I could give you some suggestions for dinners, but I struggle each day too! It must be even harder when there are diet issues! Sad that you are having to watch Floyd get weaker each day! I feel your pain!!

Kay - Wow you got a lot done yesterday! No wonder you are stiff and sore today! Might be a good idea to take a break for the next couple of days until you can move again! Ibuprofen really helps!! Believe me I have been there done that! LOL . Must be looking so much more organized in your garage now, nice to have the Christmas Decorations easily accessible!

Felis - How nice that you have been enjoying your favourite holiday! You do not need to ask for forgiveness from us! I am so impressed that you take the time to translate to english just to talk to us!! I have no clue about talking other languages although I would like to know many, I am just too lazy to learn LOL. I agree that making the decision about our pets is the hardest thing ever to do. I had to put down my Mr. Abu and still I feel so guilty about it and feel like a murderer! He was suffering though and I just couldn't watch him go through that anymore. I hope that you will enjoy a nice relaxing week!

Ok I should get to work here for a bit and then get out and do my shopping! Have a great Monday everyone!

good day - I have been busy so I have been absent. Saturday was shopping for my girlfriend's daughter surprise birthday party. Also did swim wellness. Watched my team lose again in OT this time to the Kings. The party was a lot of fun. She was not totally surprised but she was by the people that were there so that was nice. Then Sunday turned out to be a pretty day sunny but cold and windy. My DH has wanted to go to this park that I was not sure was really for dogs but we went. And OMgosh my face was frozen as the first part of the walk was into the wind. But it was fun as there were good birds - buffleheads, shovelers, mallards, pintails and gulls and some terns. There were also redwing blackbirds and lots of sparrows. The paths were really nice and Luther had a great time. But darn that wind was cold. They have this lovely boardwalk but it has a big sign that reads no dogs. My DH was bummed. But we still had walked around 2 miles so it was still fun and I loved the birds. The water in the pond was frozen but not in the area more open to the harbor. The cool part of this park NYC is right across the water and the NJ Turnpike so makes for great back drop for photos. Now today it was up and get out and get Luther his treats for the week and grocery shopping. My DH and I were talking about the coronavirus and I am shocked how little I knew. This virus while novel is still one of a group that also contains the common cold. MERS and SARS are also coronaviruses. MERS was from Saudi Arabia via camels and bats. SARS also from China and not really seen now. I am still shocked by how people feel so treated by this but not by the flu. People still don't get the flu vaccine. Oh well that is it for me and my love of science.

Chris so glad your mom is doing so much better. I hope they go to the Y they really are helpful. My DH loves the Y. Good luck with dinner prep. That is why I do Blue Apron because I cant think of any thing to cook. It is the worst!

Kay congrats on getting so much done to get ready for your cousin. Sometimes being sore just means you got a lot accomplished! Have fun with your DDs.

Trudy glad you got refocused on your painting without restarting. And I agree it messes up the whole day when the hubby's are home. I have gotten very used to having my quiet time.

Rae glad to hear you are back to your no gluten ways. I know that has worked so well for you. Those jays are so pretty and I love how demanding they have become!

Felis sounds like a great holiday time. And yes I am not surprised that some traditions have fallen by the wayside. Thanks for asking for forgiveness but not necessary! I am most impressed by how well you do do the translations.

Have a great day all!

Good afternoon, ladies. Monday is always my super busy day with work and this one is even worse than usual. I opened up the computer to find a lot of backlog files waiting for me this morning. Ugh. So I'll be working late tonight. Sure glad its not like this every day, I would burn out in no time.

Took Taz for his walk at lunchtime but that's about it today. Too busy to do anything else.

I'll check in with you all tomorrow. BFN

Good morning, dears!
Ugh, I'm wake up early again, and just hate to be wake before the sun rise, in tomorrow's post will share why, as this one is for Monday.
It was just a lovely day! Very warm and at the afternoon we was able to left the windows opened, which was very nice! I was able to cross lots of points at my ToDo List, which makes me feels good, but also mean that I had another boring working day. In the afternoon I was surprised by new song of my most favorite musician, and the announce of other his upcoming project, so this really made my day awesome! :music::music:

Thanks to all of you for all lovely comments about our Forgiveness holiday!

Chris, that's correct we was pagan many years, and when our king became christian he decided that this is right for the the whole country, so people just hide their old beliefs in new matching holidays. Nice to hear your parents doing better, not only in health, but in conversations. Hugs to you and the whole family!

Kay, it's nice that you have helpers, take care for yourself first!

Rae, I think that's it why working people hates Monday, hope the schedule for next day to calm down!

Nancy, this walk sounds awesome, can't wait to see the photos! There is photos, right?
I don't know what to think about the coronavirus, it's mostly makes me mad that people believed that this is some natural mutation of disease that is affect animals before, when this script is being predicted almost entirely accurate in book many years ago. Dean Koontz 1981 novel predicted it. An ounce after world economy collapse, the big countries will comes with the flu, which will be most selled product, and will makes lots of money to some manufacturers, as it happens already with protection masks and glove. All is fake and all is for money. We live in one f*** simulation, and all is for sale even the life. My friend work in drugstore and this is one of the most busy months she is have.

Trudy, oh, now I see why you are afraid to give home to other cat  ! I think you should, but I'll not share this my thought LOL  , as I know this pain very well! Good luck in the second try of painting! Did shopping was successful?
