Boo. It still feels like winter is going to keep hanging on for a while. Cold, windy, and now with fire warnings. hmmph. But there's good news, with the sun being stronger, my lawn is now ~90% snow-free!
Did everyone have a nice, relaxing weekend? We finished ours up with some Wii bowling and Mad Libs. We haven't played Wii together in a long time. Last summer we did the Wii Carnival Games when we had our carnival theme night but this was the first time "bowling" in years. I love how silly my family can be.
I didn't finish the scrap page/album yesterday. The time change throws me off and Cait asked if I wanted to work on the puzzle a bit and *poof* there went two hours of my day!
I have a bunch of things I have to do today, first up is getting some blood drawn. I wish we still had thee lab right around the corner. It closed before all this went down last year and the phlebotomists that were there were the *best.* Since I was in there literally all of the time (weekly when I was on IV abx, monthly all other times) we became very friendly and would chat about family, kids, school, vacations. I hope that they are all doing well. So anyway, I got spoiled having the lab here and now I have to travel about a half-hour to get to one. That is early this morning, and when I get back I have to call over to the FP to see if I can pick up some items. I never went to the one on Saturday and I could use a few things like flour and coffee and eggs if they have them.
I also have to decide on what to do about a dentist appt. Get this- the kids and I are on Medicaid and we have a very slim dental plan and there are only a few dentists on it. (I am thrilled to have anything since I paid for dental insurance for years and even then it was just as slim a plan). The kids finally got in over the last couple of weeks, and now I have to do the same. But-- as I was Googling the dentist in the plan to see if he had a website, his name came up that he pleaded guilty for tax fraud last November! The kids didn't know about it, liked him a lot- came home with clean teeth. But now I feel so weird! DO I make an appt or do I try to find another dentist?

Hugs!!

Kay- happy to hear that the BP is coming down. Hope that continues and that the side effects are gone by now.

@taxed4ever ooh, the wine sounds wonderful and you and your DH are so cute together. My house needs good power washing too- I am starting to make a mental list of the Spring To-Dos and seeing if a can borrow a machine from someone is right up there. I am happy that the hospice is a nice place and more importantly that your friend is allowed to visit him.

Rae- more good thoughts to you and Remi. xoxo IIRC, W had flecks of blood mixed in with the slimy stuff in her stool. Not sure if it is the same...

@felis- what kind of glasses did you get? Enjoy the weather!

@scrap-genie Happy (belated) Pi Day!

@Kythe Is it that we are getting older, and the eyes can't keep up anymore? By the end of the day, my eyes feel *exhausted!* LOL

@Cherylndesigns I will have to have Cait look at the page with Lia- the girls sound so much fun together.
Ouch! Are you stiffer today? My shoulder still hurts from the time J took me down in the driveway last summer. I am so cautious when I am outside with her now too. Sucks to get old and frail! :p
Hope the chiro fixes you all up!

Another quick in and out today. Slept in until 8AM... was surprised until I remembered that is was only 7AM on non-Daylight Savings Time! It takes my body a few weeks to adjust. Really hate it. Good news is that the BP was normal this AM. But am still feeling tired so will take another day or so resting/reading/vegging to make sure I am over the side-effects of the 2nd Covid shot.

Good morning ladies. Was up most of last night. Remi wouldn't sleep. I think she was feeling sick to her stomach so couldn't settle and kept whining and barking at me all night. Started the morning with a coffee and a donut (which I enjoyed but the gluten is not good for me but today was so worth it). That perked me up LOL.

Poor little girl, her elimination is just a big messy pile. Started the switchover yesterday to duck instead of fish for her. There is a good chance she can't tolerate fish, so maybe by the end of the week we'll be able to see if things look better. Otherwise, our vet said he can't do any more for her and we'll have to go to a more specialized vet hospital for further testing. It boggles my mind how much we have spent these last few wks, its crazy. But at the end of it all, if it means we have a healthy pup, it'll be worth it. Her energy is good so that is positive. Poor Taz, he is exhausted with watching her, following her around, letting her attack him and play, then he falls asleep and she soon attacks him again to play LOL. But he loves it.

I'm so happy to have my computer back. I still haven't figured out what is going on with lightroom but everything else is working fine. I've started elminating duplicate photos on my computer with the software I bought on the wkend. It'll be nice some day to have my photos organized and a duplicate copy on another external. I have lost thousands of photos over the last 10 yrs or so (3 or 4 big computer crashes) and really need two copies, all nicely organized, so it never happens again.

@faerywings sounds like a fun game night for the family. IMO...if you like your dentist, I'd go back to him.
@BrightEyes so glad your BP is back to normal. I too hate the time change, it always make me feel tired and out of sorts for a week. Add in a sick puppy right now along with the time change, this totally messed me up today, I wish I could just crawl back into bed.

Morning ladies... It is sunny and cool this morning and I have been busy wasting time browsing and doing lots of comparison of cutting machines. I think that I want the silhouette cameo4 for my 65th birthday present. I am still on the fence about it though. The software is a bit more detailed but it can do much more than the cricut machines. Or do I go for the new computer?? LOL Oh the choices, what a dilemma! I know I am spoiled and I am also indecisive o_O my birthday is just around the corner and I won't have a clue what I want to get LOL. What I really want is to have a big party with family, all of my family, but that just isn't going to happen :(. So today I have to get busy with preparing something for the upcoming birthday bash here at the O and maybe, just maybe actually get a page done too??

@faerywings - How fun to play the Wii Bowling! I love that game and it would be so fun to be able to play with the grandkids!
They are all the perfect age for it! ITA with Rae, if you like your Dentist, stick with him. Even if he doesn't like to pay his taxes LOL.
Hope that your trip to the clinic goes well, too bad that you lost your nice spot to have your blood drawn! Yup I think the time change affects a lot of us, as I am feeling a bit discombobulated still also. Wish we could just do away with it!! Hope you get your album finished off today!

@BrightEyes - Happy to hear that the BP is back to normal, boy that second shot really took a toll on you didn't it!! Take Care of you!

@bcgal00 - That is horrible that you are still not getting much sleep, it's like having a baby with colic, hope that you can get things sorted out for your poor Remi!! Have you heard anything back from the breeder?? Nice to have your computer back, but sure hope you figure things out with your Lightroom, it would be terrible if you lost your photos again! I hope that maybe you can fit in a nap at some point today!

@felis - Oh I can't wait to see your lovely new frames, sure hope that the appt went well for you! I would be happy to send you some of our wine!! Except that it would probably cost me a fortune to mail it to you!! ;). How nice that your weather has been so good and that is wonderful that your country will be doing away with DST!! Wish the rest of the world would also!

@scrap-genie - Happy belated Pi Day! Love the song for this year!! Thanks for sharing! Hope you are keeping well and that the time change did not affect you, but then you did say you liked it!

@Kythe - Did you get out for a walk yesterday? We did for a short one, but the breeze is still very chilly!!

@Cherylndesigns - Oh my I am so sorry that you had such a fall! Hope that you are not feeling too stiff again today! It really can give the body a jolt! I fell down some stairs when we were in Paris a few years ago and it took forever for my poor ankle to feel better! Thankfully I did not break it, but I sure gave it a good twist! It did not ruin my holiday though, lots of ice packs at the end of everyday sure helped me out! Hope you get to see the Chiropractor right away!

@LSlycord - Glad that the new person at your Optometry place, was a nicer, more patient person! No wonder they did not feel right, hopefully the adjustment is just what you need!

Ok I have been sitting here in my PJ's for far too long and I need to get showered and dressed and get busy with my project for this day! Have a great Monday ladies!!

Hello my loves!

Thanks for your concern - I'm much better today - yesterday was "the second day" and that's always the worse. I'm SO much better today and my right side has really gotten better!! I didn't walk yesterday, but I did today and I did really well. it just puts the fear in me! Chuck called the chiropractor and they couldn't get me in until Thursday. He has an appt on Wednesday and wanted to give me his. I said that I'd be okay by them. LOL Most of the time, I just wear it out. Yesterday was really bad, but I'm so much better today. If I still need to go, I'll go Thursday. These darned doctors (ANY kind) are all so booked out here!!!

Good news - we're going to get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine - ONLY ONE SHOT!!! Our new doctor isn't totally sure when they'll come in, but we're on the list. It might be tomorrow or the next day. I wanted to check with our dd who's a nurse and has been in on the research ever since it started and she said to go for the 1 shot!!! She had originally told us to get the Mederna (sp) but when she heard that we had the J&J option, she said to jump on it. She says that it's not available in very many places yet and if our doctor gets it to go for it. So, we're just waiting to get the call.

Well, I'm geeked! Ona just approved my Birthday Challenge and told me to move it to the Clean Challenge!! I asked her where the WOOHOO emoji was. ROTFLMBO I can't believe I did everything right.

Miss Lila is here again. I hate for her to be in her crate so our DD (Adrienne) brings her over here when they're going to be gone. Daisy was all mopey and I think she was really missing her playmate. They're like kids "Can Lila come over and play with Daisy?" Hahaha They're chasing each other right now and "play fighting" - complete with growling. LOL

I'm attaching a picture of the two of them. They're in the kitchen - Daisy is such a little lady - waiting for Lila to eat out of her bowl. Lila has her OWN bowl, but she'd rather eat out of Daisy's. Hahaha Lila had just "had her fill". Too funny.

good evening - well have been super busy with this weekend being all about family. Took my son and his MG out for dinner for his birthday. The kids were with the ex and my DH worked so it was just 3. It was at a new Mexican restaurant in our town. They loved it. The best was it was there was just another couple in there. So as we have all be vaccinated so according to CDC we did not have to wear masks. It almost felt normal. The on Sat my oldest came over to take his dad to see the new Ford Bronco. My DH has always had his a Bronco. He finally gave it to a man who wants to restore it. It feels weird to have not Bronco in our driveway. So I think it is time to trade in the Escape for a new Bronco. My son had us laughing so hard as he told us mechanic stories. Not the mechanic doing wrong but the car owners not understanding their cars and what the mechanic can do. Then on Sunday my son asked us to come up for Brunch at an Irish pub. We all wore our masks (kids included) until the drinks arrived. OMgosh the food was so good. The kids are starting to feel more comfortable around us. And they talked a lot. So that made us very happy. My poor NJ Devils cant catch a break. They continue to lose but at least they are now remembering how to play so next comes learning not to lose and then how to win. I am hopeful this is a learning year for the team. They are all so young. Of course we walked Luther. The weather while sunny has been cold and 30-40mph wind gusts creates below freezing wind chill temps. Today I had nice conversations with people who thought Luther was a beautiful dog and how they remembered having their own German Shepherd dogs. I had found a new show. Men in Kilts with the stars from Outlander. They so make me want to see more of Scotland. I love that I recognize Edinburgh that they show. Also started watching Ted Lasso. It is actually really good.

@faerywings Chris I am hating this weather. We had such a nice run of warm temps and then to go back to freezing is cruel. Glad you have the book mostly done! Congrats. Weird about the leash being missing. My DH got a new phone and got it bright color so he could find it when he puts it down. But LOL he seems to misplace this one more than before. How nice the ILs came up for a visit.

@taxed4ever Trudy how fun to listen to the Eagles while bottling wine. Sounds like a lot of fun was had talking to Hunter! Your set up for the summer outside seating is wonderful!

@bcgal00 Rae I am sending thoughts and prayers that Remi continues to improve. If the people you got Remi from don't respond to your email then I think you should let it be know buyer beware if you get a puppy from them. It is unbelievable how expensive pets are. Luther with all his allergies has cost us a lot of money but as you know you love your pet and will do anything for them.

@BrightEyes Kay glad you are resting after your shot. Sorry the blood pressure skyrocketed and more glad it is pretty much back to normal.

@Cherylndesigns Omgosh I am so sorry about the fall. I have two knee replacements and I am super careful on walks. I have fallen once and nothing happened but I was so worried. I am so grateful I had Luther trained so that I feel comfortable walking him. He he wants to pull if he sees a cat, robin or little white dog. He does try to do the chase thing so I have to be sure I see these before he does so I can control him. I am glad you are now feeling so much better.

@scrap-genie Jean I love the pi day song. Are you getting excited for start of the baseball season?

@felis I am always so interested in how other countries treat their older or infirm family members. In the US my understanding of hospice is having trained staff attend and make the person feel comfortable ie not in pain and this can be done in home or a facility more adept at doing this. In my case with my mother she did not want to live with my sister or I so during her last days there was no choice but to use a hospice care facility. The staff was so good to her and could keep her pain under control. My sons laughingly tell me all the time I had better be good to them as they will be selecting where I go. But I can tell you I did not have kids so I would have someone take care of me. But I did raise them so they would want the best care for me I could get. I think you are such a super daughter to be there with your parents. Strong family bonds are so important! My sister and I so wish we could live near each other but each of us has family and neither wants to leave them.

Waving to all.

@faerywings I hate having to find new doctors and dentists. Good luck on deciding what to do with the dentist.

@BrightEyes Im glad that you are feeling better now and glad that you have both shots behind you. It takes me awhile to adjust to time changes...it always has. To be honest, after 21 months in the Eastern time zone, I am still not used to it.

@bcgal00 you have really been through it. But I am sure happy that Remi is doing so well. I hope that the diet changes make the difference.

@taxed4ever I wish you could have a big 65th birthday party with your kids and grandkids and friends. I hope that things turn around soon so we can start spending time with family and friends.

@Cherylndesigns you are full of good news! Feeling better from the fall and the vaccine on its way! And how sweet that you go get Lila so she isn’t alone. Such a cute picture of those puppies.

Hello lOvelies!
Why things should be always so complicated? I spend my day in search and compare glasses prices and deals and I'll have to keep looking for place where to put only lenses. Before I''m only have one pair of glasses as I look on them as part of my body, not like accessory, as tattoo, something permanent. But with so naughty dog around, I'm afraid that they can fall and broke, so decided to get a second pair. When I bought frames I didn't expect to be so complicated to get lenses for them.
At the optic I usually use, the lady told me that they are moved their office and I'll have to make "one walk" to the new place, as now she only repair after they are send you to her. It not have much sense at this, and I didn't find motivation in me to go and see this new place.
Winter is back with full strength, was so cold today! And of course it's stop to rain, only after I was back home.

@scrap-genie Jean, love the Pi song! But where is your page this year?!

Linda, so nice that you can feel comfortable at the ophthalmologist again! When you will show us the new glasses?

Chris, LOL, if this dentist is good in his work go for it, no matter what he did in his personal life! You are there for his job, as my granny favorite proverb said: "you will not get married for him", it's not your business did he is good or bad person!
Hope you'll be able to find new lab and hopefully people there wouldn't do something reprehensible, as cheating their husband or not recycling. LOL!!!!
It's a chick purple cat eyes frames. They was at outlet collection deal and I thought it would be fun to have something colorful for a change, but wasn't figure out how difficult will be. I hope at some point to have them made and will show it!

Rae, the way is long, but soon troubles will be behind you! Unfortunately young animals are more often sick than if adopt adult. I don't know is it helpful or bothering when other shared experience, and did this will work for her condition, but instead to give pet food which have preservatives I boil meatballs meat (minced meat) and then in this water boil rice, and then mix them together.
WOW, software that eliminating duplicate photos, I need this!

Trudy, I hope Garry to get the clue what you want for your birthday!
Hehehe, this time the joke turns on my back, when I hear for delivery cost this dissuades me from every idea, you knows me well! :po_O

Cheryl, OMG, its so scary, you could hurt really bad! I'm still keep training my dog (he is 10 months now and not learn much) and often feels like a victim of home violence, lol! With these leash is so easy to hurt you! But they looks so cute together I can see why you can't resist to have them at one!

Nancy, happy belated birthday to your son! Wish him wonderful year!
OH well now you're just flaunting it with Luther! LOL! :p
I actually figure out I'm mistaken, when Trudy described the hospice as a hotel. Here they are very miserable, sad places, where you are surrounded by friends who waiting their turn to gone forever. It's shameless to send your parents there. Lots of people prefer to live alone instead to be punished like that! It's good to tells me when something is different, as I often could swear that the world is flat o_O:rolleyes: LOL.
