Hey there, O-zies! It's a grey and gloomy and chilly morning here and that is the highlight for today and tomorrow's weather. :/
yes, we are getting snow. How much? Who the heck knows??? Somewhere between 3 and 12 inches. For real :rotfl:Everything depends on how far down the cold front moves and how much moisture pushes up from the coast. Throw in some variation of elevation and my town might have rain on one end and a foot up the mountain. Forecasts say that elevations over 750 feet are most likely to get 12". My house, in the "valley," is at 675' (I Googled it. Don't think for a second I knew that off the top of my head hahaha!)
The sunlight is stronger and Spring is in a week and a half. It's not going to stick around. *puts that on repeat times a million*

My parents popped in yesterday afternoon which was nice. My mom needed help with her phone and Fitbit. When I updated the software, it disconnected the Bluetooth and she didn't know how to repair it. I also figured out that the phones have MicroSD slots and told them to buy them and have my brother (or Christopher :p ) pop them in.
Today is a day of getting s*** done, plus I am cleaning for my friend this afternoon. It's going to be a busy-ish day for me.

It is also MMM - Me Me Monday
MMM is: What can you do for yourself today? Bubble bath, manicure, go shopping, read a good book, scrap

It's often hard for me to squeeze Me Time in when I feel like I have a lot of stuff to do but those are the days when it is most important to take time for yourself.
I would love to redo the polish on my nails. I started peeling it off yesterday so I have three blue nails and seven plain. LOL That might take more time than I have but I will make sure I squeeze in yoga and maybe some scrapping. There is a pre-release kit that I am drooling over and it will work for a challenge so that is a nice possibility for this afternoon.

@vickyday Hope you had no problems with the icy roads and walkways getting to church yesterday.
Good for you starting a sweater for yourself. Can you show the pattern? How is it going with double-stranding the yarn?
The baby shower must have been so wonderful, and *of course* they loved what you made.

@LSlycord I feel your pain, having Syd go on a trip like that. I honestly don't know how parents did this pre-cell phone.
Don't forget your HW today--Ask the cleaning lady what she uses on the grout hahaha!
So smart to schedule the C-section before the due date, I know that twins tend to come earlier so best get that settled. Oh, that would be wonderful to go home and hold the babies!

@taxed4ever wait, can it be that Trudy has a long post on a Sunday? No errands or yard work for the taskmaster? :yesmaster:
(You know I am 100% just teasing!) I am really excited to hear more about the kayaks. It sounds like a nice way to spend time on the lake and get some good cardio in at the same time. I guess being active is one of the reasons you are reverse aging and I am going fast forward aging :giggle4:

@bcgal00 I am gagging and laughing at the same time over Remi at the deer bone. I can see her being all happy and proud of herself-- Look Mama I found a new toy!!
We watched Episode 1 of Alaska Daily and it is totally in my wheelhouse of interests. Thanks for the suggestion! You too @scrap-genie

Good morning my friends! This spring forward stuff really kicks my fanny.#sleeping:coffee1:

Did some scrapping yesterday. A new My Story page and I still needed to check it one more time this morning before posting. Made a couple of changes. You would think that this was being published. :floorlaugh:

MMM would be a pajama day but I can't do that since the cleaning lady is coming. I must admit that I have been rather indulgent lately in MMM time. But next Monday starts the new job so I guess that will come to a screeching halt.

Haven't taken my walk yet. It's cloudy and rainy here which wasn't going to stop me. However, there was a loud clap of thunder followed by lightning and I decided the walk could wait.

Adding Alaska Daily to my list of shows to watch. Thanks for the recommendation ladies!

Good Morning!
Freeze warning last night. Not sure if it got that cold or not, however. The temp is currently 37 and I got up at 9, so I don't think half an hour has made much difference in that. Had no problems driving or walking to church yesterday. You could see the ice/snow in the valleys of the roof tops, but nothing on the ground really.

I got quite a bit done on my sweater I started this weekend. Since it was cold yesterday Mark and I stopped at KFC on the way home from church and chilled in our pajamas the rest of the day. The double strand of yarn seems to be knitting up to gauge, so that is good! I had to order some circular needles because the body is done in the round. I needed a few more needles, anyway! ;)

@faerywings (@tanteva )
Here are the links to the YouTube video, the hand-written instructions and following is a picture of the author wearing hers. It is a VERY easy sweater, Chris! Nothing fancy about it. Stocking net stitch and K1P1 ribbing. The video shows some instructions for increasing stitches and picking up stitches that I have never seen before. I had to watch several times while I was "doing" it to catch all of the steps, but it is a simple process.

Well, I thought I could post a picture here, but it was an imbedded image verses a jpg file. Anyway, you can see it from the hand-written link.

MMM is Nothing planned today except knitting for me!. Tomorrow will be the day for the widows' meeting an hour away.

HAGD!

Good Monday Morning everyone! We are back to rain today. The house is quiet and I am enjoying my first cup of coffee! #coffee-2Not much going on here today and not sure if I will be going to the pool at all this week as it is spring break here and the pool will be crazy busy! I will check the schedule for the pool though this morning to see if there are lessons going on etc. Monday is usually my day to just do whatever I feel like doing. So I like the idea of MeMeMonday!! I got all my house cleaning and laundry done yesterday and DH really did not have much planned yesterday, except for bottling a Pinot Grigio and so I helped out with that. I organized my craft room a bit and got started on SIL Linda's birthday gift. I will most likely get started on the Turtle painting today. It needs a few coats of gesso before I start to do the background. Hope to find a challenge that inspires me to do some scrapping and that will be my Monday.

@faerywings - Ha, ha, ha I bet you were shocked to see me posting here over the weekend! DH of course got all involved with researching kayaks, so maybe he will decide to get one for himself too??? I doubt it, but you never know. I can't see him out there on the lake with me unless he decides to finally retire, so not likely :giggle4:. Uggh on the snow fall today! Hopefully you do not get much and it all melts by this evening! Spend some time for yourself today and get those nails all pretty again! Glad to hear that you had a nice visit with your parents yesterday. I often have to help out FIL with his phone and sometimes wonder why on earth he even has one LOL. He knows how to use it in the car, but has no clue how to use it for txting or even calling when it is not connected to blue tooth in his vehicle..

@LSlycord - Did you get the house all tidy and clean for the cleaning lady today? Enjoy your indulgent days before you have to head back to work! Hope you get a walk in at some point today, but not while there is lightning and thunder out there!! :eek2:

@vickyday - I checked out the You Tube video for the sweater! Wow what a cute sweater!! It makes me want to take up knitting again!! :hahano: I have enough projects going on right now LOL. But I sure do love that sweater!! Hope you enjoy a day of knitting for yourself!!

Ok I will get the morning chores done and then will most likely hear from Heather and the boys and find out all about there weekend at the Hotel. Have a wonderful Monday everyone! Do something fun for yourselves today! :waving1

AW, come on, Trudy! What's one more project in the works? ;) But I know what you mean! I'm trying to be a good girl and do one project at a time! And then there's the craft shed! OH MY! I sure need to declutter that thing! So many unfinished projects! But since they are in the craft shed......out of sight, out of mind! ;)

Good morning ladies. I watched the Oscars last night and this morning am watching the Kelly & Ryan show. They get the first interviews with all the stars so its fun to watch.

Slept in a bit but by the end of the week I'll be back to normal. The time change always throws me off kilter for a few days.

D and I went to The Bay yesterday and bought new luggage. I was shocked at how expensive luggage is now, we spent a small fortune but got good quality luggage at 65% off. It better last us forever.

I need to figure out dinner, Remi will need to go to the dog park but I know it's going to be a big mud pit, so there will be a shower when we get home and I want to do a bit of scrapping later. My book is due in 2 days. It doesn't look like I'll get it finished in time so will have to reserve it again. My reading schedule really sucks this year LOL.

@faerywings Me too, I need to do some self-care today. Cuticle cream and another coat of soft pink sheer on my nails. I don't wear color on my nails b/c I would constantly be chipping and scratching the polish off with my outdoor activity, dog care, etc.

@taxed4ever Have fun today with scrapping and working on your painting.

I need to hop in the shower and get my day going, it is already 10 am. HAGD everyone.

Back for personals.

@faerywings I will ask about the grout. We will see how that translation goes. ;) I've managed to get a lot of things done today...no long waits on hold anywhere. I had been procrastinating on a few of the things but Syd's phone is set up for Europe and it will be about $200 less than I thought for her to have full access to internet and phone while she is there.

@vickyday can't believe that you got a freeze warning last night. Hopefully that is the last one for the season. I love KFC. We don't have any nearby...which is probably best...with everything that I like in my meal, the carb count can get pretty high! Today sounds like a perfect day for knitting.

@taxed4ever :floorlaugh: about your Gary retiring. I think that I may be wired a bit like him...although I don't have his energy for projects on the weekends.

@bcgal00 I agree on the time change. After a few days, I'll not even know that we have changed times. But for a couple of days...oh boy! We bought new luggage for the four of us before we went to Europe and I was surprised by how expensive it was, even when I found a good sale. Good news is that we won't need to buy new for Sydney before she leaves.

Ok, ladies. I'm on a roll on accomplishing things today so I think I'll keep going!

DH and I did end up going out to lunch today. But I started knitting as soon as I got back. I'm at a stand still now until my circular needles get here on Wednesday. I'm sure hoping they come tomorrow instead! Even though I won't be home until around 2:30. I will have all evening to work on the body of the sweater. Here's the top, front and back, to where I will connect the pieces at the underarm to begin the body. I am loving the easy pattern (@faerywings )! As you can see, the needle is already too full, so I have to wait for the circular needles. Plus, this is the only set of size 11 needles I have. If I had a set of double-pointed needles I could continue, but I don't. So, I will quit for now! The picture looks more purple than the actual color. Compared to this picture the yarn is pinker.
