Happy Monday!
I have been up since 5 even though the kids are off of school this week. I probably should have turned my alarm off or just to 6 am instead.

Was your weekend a nice one? I don't know what I even did. heh. Breakfast was nice with the family. Then I worked for 2 hours getting ready for food shopping. Finding/clipping/sorting coupons and matching them up with the sales. I scrapped a page for the upcoming party. Then the family played Apples to Apples together before dinner. A quiet day but nice.

Today, I am food shopping and I want to get out early since we have more snow coming today/overnight. Not a lot, thank goodness, just a few inches. But that will be enough for the "milk and bread" crowd to come out.

Not much else-- some bill paying, house and computer clean up. Probably playing with the dogs. :pupkiss:

Have a wonderful and relaxing day!

Looks like it was just me and you yesterday, Felis:)

Sorry to hear that you are getting more rain and mud.
I am so lucky to have amazing neighbors. We all get along great. We have new neighbors that moved in across the street, a young couple and I am curious as to what they are like. Hard to meet people when it is cold and snowy but once the weather turns, it will be easier once we are all outside.

Hugs to all of you!

It's looks like you are right Chris.
I hope that other girls are been to busy with funny stuff! I'm waiting for their stories :).
And Rae probably is in the hospital with B. Hope on new progress in B and to not have a problem with the aggressive boyfriend!
It's boring work day here. Sun is still shining, but probably till I finished my work and can go out this clouds will bring the rain as was predicted at the weather channel. :rain: I'm ready to replace it for your snow! Your weekend sounds lovely and cosy with these family games! We was out almost at all time during the weekend. But let this not despair you, please, I know you are tired by winter, so I send spring in your direction! Hug you,Chris !
Hugs to you all ladies!

good am - yesterday got away from me. Got early and no one else did so I took Luther for a nice walk around the neighborhood. It was fun. We had not been around in ages and it was amazing to see all the trees that were down. Sound of saws was loud. And now we are to get another nor'easter tomorrow. Most of this should be way east of us but of course you never know. We will for sure get some snow. Yesterday was my son's and mine birthday dinner at the Melting Pot. I love fondue and I love the cheese with veggies and fruit and of course bread. My DH and son got into a huge disagreement and they were both acting like two year olds. It was sad. So bad that my son left before the chocolate dessert fondue. But I did not let it bring me down and totally enjoyed the time as my son and DIL were there too. I ate so much so it is a good thing that I walked Luther. It is so weird to be on daylight savings time but I am so happy to have so much day light at the end of the day. My watch tells me when sunrise is and it was so weird on Sat night to see the watch say 7:15 when it had just be 6:15. My DH and I had been discussing and I had told him it would be lighter longer in the afternoon and he just did not want to believe it. Watched some hockey and then went to bed. I am still in a state of hockey happiness as my Devils defeated the Nashville Predators on Sat. night to end their 10 game winning streak. The game was hard fought and my team took the lead but in the last min they tied the game and they really thought they were going to win and they had a power play in OT but they could not score. And in the shoot out my two stars Taylor Hall and Brian Boyle scored and Keith Kinkaid stopped their last player. There is this funny video of my player Kyle Palmieri on the bench cheering Keith to make the save. It is awesome! It is only right that Brian Boyle (cancer survivor) scored the game winning goal in the Shoot out as it was Hockey Fights Cancer night in Nashville. Then last night I watched the Arizona Coyotes defeat the Vancouver Canucks 1-0. Pretty cool. Today I will be scrapping and cooking and waiting for the storm.

Chris good luck and find lots of deals at the grocery store. Can you believe the weather storms we having in this state? Yes it does sound like at least this time we will get less. Have fun with the kids being home this week. My DH is off but still goes in as he has students doing experiments.

Felis it is different in the East part of the USA than in other parts of the US. In AZ and CO were I grew up every one had fenced yards. When we went to Wisconsin and did not see fences we were so surprised and then the same here in NJ. But now with the dog we have put up a fence just to make our lives easier. Also our neighbors have an above ground pool and so they put up a fence to keep people save. I feel the west US feels the need to have fences from when the ranchers and the farmers needed to keep the cattle from the farmland. Hope your time in the yard was super productive.

Trudy, Rae and Jean waving hi and hope you had a great Sunday.

Have a great day!

Morning ladies... sunny and mild here again today, :sorry: to rub it in! Yesterday I was MIA from here but we got so much accomplished in the yard and it looks so much better! I have a sore back today from all the bending over and weeding and bagging all the dead stuff. We did not do any yard work on Saturday like we had hoped to do. It took forever to get our errands and grocery shopping done, we kept running into people we know and would strike up conversations that lasted a very long time LOL. It was nice to see everyone and catch up, but sheesh my DH never knows when to stop talking :becky: So needless to say, no yard work got done, so Sunday was spent outside all day and it was so nice to be out in the fresh air and sunshine. I will send our spring out to you girls in the East and hope that it keeps away the snow that you are supposed to get! Tomorrow we are back to rain, but hopefully nice for the Wednesday hike! Had a long facetime with Heather, Mason and Hunter this morning, that is why I am late getting in here. Spring break for Mason, so Heather has her hands full with both boys home. Mason and Hunter play a bit more together now that Hunter is sitting up on his own and crawling around. So Heather is able to get a few things done around the house, that is nice!

Chris - Sounds like a nice weekend with your family, playing games and just enjoying each others company! Hope your food shopping goes well and that there are not too many others there while you shop! Enjoy your quiet day and I will pray that you do not get any more snow!!

Felis - Yes I was very busy with yard work yesterday, not exactly fun stuff, but it sure feels good to have all that work almost done. I think I will go outside and try to finish off the rest of the weeding along the side of the house. This year we will have to bring in a lot of mulch for the flower beds, we need it because our summers lately have been very hot and very dry. The mulch will help to keep the moisture in so we won't have to water quite so much. My rose bushes do not look so good, so I hope that they will improve with the warmer weather! Hope you managed to get your work all done and that you got outside for a bit!

Nancy - That is too bad that your son and DH were acting like children! MEN!! When my son was living at home, just before he joined the military, my DH and him would go at each other all the time! I felt like a referee!! Too much testosterone in the house I guess LOL. Glad those days are over, now they are best buddies!! It is so much nicer! Fondue sounds like a perfect way to have a birthday dinner! :hungry: Glad to hear that your Devils won their game! Not such a good game for the Bruins yesterday, so many good players not playing. Sure like having Rick Nash on the team and yes more controversy over Brad Marchand, but we won't go there :tape: Nice to see your page chosen for the Anna Lift! I hope you enjoy your day of scrapping and cooking, you always have the best dinners!

:hello: to Rae and Jean! Hope things are improving at the hospital Rae, and that you are enjoying your day Jean!

Better hit the shower and get this day going. Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

Saturday was busy and I was too lazy to get here Sunday. This morning DH did Hum & Strum and I did bills & stuff. We're threatened with more snow, but don't know how much.

Chris, hope the shopping went well and the snow holds off. Should be a good time with the kids home.

Felis, if you want stories, it mostly would have to be about genealogy as that's what I mostly did Saturday. How nice you all were outside over the weekend getting work done in the yard. Where I live is between the east and west of the US and mostly still no fenced yards except for dogs sometimes.

Nancy, glad you could somewhat ignore the males trying to ruin your birthday dinner. The chocolate fondue sounds especially good. Bet I have a fondue pot in the back of some cupboard here from long ago. The walk with Luther gave you quite a picture of what the storms have done, but sounds like it was a good outing.

Trudy, arrgh! another one out in the springtime! Sorry it made you sore though. Good luck with weather for the hike Wed. I remember when you could facetime with Mason letting H. fix his breakfast, but with two of them now, guess she has her hands really full with school on break.

Rae, wishing you J and B all good progress and healing.

Good morning, ladies. I skimmed thru the personals and really appreciate all the kind words and prayers for B. Each day is a little better but they have told us that there is a very long road ahead for her which we already figured out. She was transferred last night so the BF won't be able to find her and we have a password for getting any information that she is a patient there so he won't know that.

I got a bit of sleep over the wkend but am still quite foggy as I can't stay asleep for long, my brain starts to panic and I wake up. So I've been watching lots of tv shows and dozing off here and there. I'm not online much right now. I'm at the hospital every afternoon/evening so until that schedule changes, I won't really be around much but hope to still check in for a few minutes here and there.

Hope you all are well and hope to soon be chatting away more with you.
