Good morning, O-zies! Happy Monday and first week of June to you all.
I have to be quick this morning. Caitlyn needs me to help her review for an exam this morning and I have a Dr's appt and need to leave here at 8.30 am.
Not a lot to say/share as it is. I would love to say that I had a relaxing weekend. I did for the most part. I spent so many hours weeding the area by my parents' driveway and deck then went to dinner with my mom. Sunday was a completely opposite experience. My dad came up before breakfast and my parents fought the entire time. They do their share of bickering but this was bad. I don't like being caught in the middle, to say the least. I am really upset and exhausted by it all.

At least the weather is finally getting warmer (not today, however!).
Love to all!

Nancy- Saturday was a gorgeous day. I am happy that the BBQ was perfect and it sounds delicious! That would make me proud too. So neat to think that you and Trudy were glued to the TV for the Bruins game at the same time :)

Jean- The genealogical meeting must have been so interesting. I am happy to hear that the big storms passed you by.

Trudy- congrats on the big Bruins win! Your brunch sounds delish and beautiful. A better way to start your day before going back home to clean and stain ;)

Kay- I know what you mean about the first day or two of the month, getting LOs uploaded and CT work prepped and organized. Hope that your energy levels came back eventually.

Felis- nope, not really a vacation, just a place to be away from home for a couple of days. By the time we got to the house on Friday, we ate some snacks and I had a glass of wine and read a bit. Sat. I did yard work and my mom cleaned inside. But I didn't have to cook or listen to dogs barking at the wind. LOL
Enjoy reading your new books!!

good morning - the day is sunny but really chilly for June - only to get to low 70s. Fortunately I don't have too much on my agenda today. I have hockey tonight. It will be interesting to see if the Blues make adjustments or the Bruins just keep rolling. Last night we had big storms roll through and Luther is such a funny dog. As soon as a storm starts Luther wants to go outside. What dog does that. There was lightning and he wanted out. I said no and he then laid right beside me during the storm. I don't know what to think. My son said while we were in Florida he did come home and find Luther out in the rain. I have never heard a dog to towards the rain always thought if afraid they would hide. Finally the rain stopped and he got out and then he kept barking at some thing and around 1am I had to go back downstairs and bring him in. I am tired. Good thing there are naps. My DH had Luther out for a 2hr walk this morning so needless to say he is sleeping LOL. Got a lot of scrapping done so that was good.

Chris sorry to hear that your parents were arguing. I can believe that indeed that would not be fun to be in-between. Good luck at doctor! And I am sure Cait will do well!

Trudy I love brunches - breakfast is my favorite meal. Glad that my former Devils are getting to play in the Finals. Even Patrick Maroon of the Blues was a Devil last year.

Kay it is funny even when I am hot in the summer I still love taking hot showers. My DH falls asleep so often reading and is always dropping his book. Hope opening the windows helped warm you up!

Jean I am thinking I should love your newsletter. Jean thanks for the nice comments about my Swamp pages.

Felis sorry you had so much rain but congrats on getting all those books. Enjoy the summer reading. Thanks so much for the nice comments on my pages from the Corkscrew Swamp. It really is an amazing spot to visit.

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone! It is sunny again this morning but much cooler than it has been the last few days! It looks like this will be our last full sun day as tomorrow will be cloudy and then of course on my Hike day it is supposed to pour rain :mmph: Oh well we sure do need it! Who knows perhaps the forecast will change, it seems to do that on a daily basis. We managed to complete the staining of the fence, it looks really good and hopefully we won't have to do again for another 5 years!! Then the usual Sunday chores of vacuuming and cleaning bathrooms and of course :washing: So today I get to just do some fun things for myself. At some point I will have to go out and water the plants along the side of the house. Other than that I have some things to get done here at Oscraps and then I might start another painting. We will see what the day brings. This post is taking forever to get done, Heather and Hunter facetimed with me and now it is going on 9am and I think I started this around 7:30 LOL

Thought I had better post what I had before I lost it all LOL.

Chris - I am :sorry: that you did not have a relaxing Sunday!! That is sad that your Mom and Dad were bickering with each other! It must have been very stressful for you  But you did manage to get in some good gardening therapy! Supper out with your Mother must have been nice too!! I am sure that Cait will done just fine with her exam and good luck with your early Dr's appointment! I hope you get to have a nice afternoon!

Nancy - I am hoping that the Bruins just keep on rolling tonight!! Looking forward to the game and hopefully another big win for us! I know you want the hockey to last as long as it can, but I don't think my DH's nerves will last that long LOL!! Isn't it funny that Luther wants to go outside when a storm starts?? Most dogs hide under a bed or something, perhaps he is like me and loves to watch the lightning?? I will have to check out your pages, you have been scrapping like crazy these days, how nice!!

Felis - Oh I am so excited that you are able to read one of Chevy Steven's books!! My sister is good friends with her and I know she has a lot of books in storage that are in different languages, perhaps she has a few in her stash in your language that I could send to you. I will see what I can find out. Yes this was the same vineyard that was closed the last time DH tried to take me for brunch. It is such a lovely place and the food is so good! I hope that your weather gets sunnier and you can get outside more, but for now you can spend the rainy day perhaps doing some scrapping?

Ok I am behind on my morning chores of making the bed and emptying the dishwasher, so I will get that done, hop in the shower and get coupons sent out to the challenge winners for May. So many gorgeous new things in the shops I need to check out also. Have a great Monday everyone, hope the sun is shining for you all!

Beautiful sunny day, but high may get to only 60*. DH will be home soon from H&S and I did the weekly bills & stuff. Don't know if we'll get out or just do home stuff. We'll be watching hockey tonight too. I've started work on a little altered book that I never finished a few years ago. I've got four more 2-page spreads to still get in. If I finish, I'll put some on my blog. Also have a small beginning of another drawing. Class won't resume until next week.

Felis, how nice to get those books at the sale, something to enjoy even when it's raining. Please enjoy June more than you did May!

Chris, oh yuck! What a bummer to have arguing parents when you just needed to relax. We can get into it, but after all these years it seems a waste and mostly don't or only briefly. But your folks are dealing with issues of aging and that can make it tough. Hope the doc visit was all good and that Cait (as usual) did well on the exam.

Nancy, that is curious about Luther wanting out in the storm. Probably better than cowering under the bed, but still strange. Hope you actually get that nap today. And I am still loving your Florida pages and the memories they evoke. Have fun with tonight's hockey!

Trudy, good luck tonight for the Bruins. Hope your MG has his wishes with them.

Good morning girls,
I'm back to my normal working schedule, so hope this will gives me enough time for my hobbies! For now I still feels like my life is mostly work and clean, but I'll try to fix this! And yes scrap is on a first line, if my mojo not left me!
Oh, something strange happened. We have side part of the yard with wood fence, where my dog can be locked or I can left kittens to play. I don't use it now because of the rain, but under the fence we found digged small hole. As I say dogs aren't be there, and cats just jump on the fence, so we suspect that we have wild guest again! We was excited and searched around for the hedgehog, but without success! Hope to be able to see her at some of the next days! Oh and I hope it's not the beech marten again! She comes for my neighbors chickens, and before few years the whole neighborhood was hunting for her, so she of course use my yard as a hiding place. It's a really sly lady, but unfortunately cats fight with her, and also neighbors put poison everywhere, so I hope for the good of all that she will stay at fields!

Ouch, Chris, this isn't sound as a vacation time, not at all! So sorry, friend! I had big hopes for you, because my uncle rent bungalow on the lake beach and they really make it relaxing time with beach, swim, and picnic, I was imagine something more like that. Good luck to Cait!

Nancy, the pleasure is mine! I had so lovely morning browsing true your gallery!!! Love all your Corkscrew Swamp photos! Hahaha, I thought all shepherd loves rain?! My Biggie will lie down under the rain until someone come to push him inside his room. But see, to wants to go out when have thunders is something that is really curious?! Brave Luther!

Trudy, oh, you are so sweet! I seriously doubt that she will have another books translated to bulgarian, but thanks for the proposal to ask her!!! The publishers here just doing this maddening thing to realize only one book and left fans hungry! It's very frustrating! So your sister is friends with bestselling author, this is SOO cool!
Hope weather to be sunny for the hike! How strange that you still needs to water the plants with all this rain?! Have fun with your painting!

Jean, Umm what is altered book? Something like mixed media album?! You definitely have to show pics when finish it!
Oh, I really hope I'll be able to enjoy June more than I did in May! I overestimated my ability to deal with cat sickness and had a really sad time. But now I'm looking forward. Thank you for thinking of me, and I really hope I'm not allow my sadness to to reflect in my posts in an unpleasant way!
