Good mOrning my O-Fam!! Happy Happy Monday! Oh my goodness, I am feeling so much better than I did last week. My brain fog has lifted! I feel like I can actually string two thoughts together again. :lol:

It sounded like everyone had a nice weekend. So glad to hear that I was thrilled that I was able to go to the lake yesterday. It is amazing what a couple hours out in the sun can do for me

And YES! Today looks to be another decent day-- T-storms later on, but that's ok with me. Have to go food shopping first, then off to the lake. And we are having Big City Sliders for dinner tonight in honor of Billy Mays. My mom got me the Big City Sliders Station for my b-day and my kids are Billy Mays fans (I know, odd... but they love him ), so we'll do that in tribute.

LindaW-- Happy anniversary!! Woo hoo! 19 years and I can tell that you are still in love! That is so awesome. And not easy to do! Your dinner sounded delish!!! And I am so excited for you and your new g-baby to be! The shower was awesome? Have fun on that vaca, can I come too?

Sandra- good luck again for the interview! Good vibes for ya! Hope you and Gabe are both feeling better.

Kat- that was perfect advice/thoughts for Sandra- and so true- even if we don't make out posting goals, I bet we all did 100 times more posting than we would have. And that is what makes the O so fun! How is Nick today? Loving the pool??

LindaP- OMG- I am the exact same way with weeds And what kills me is when I am out walking, like to the bus stop etc... I want to pull up other people's weeds that I see. I have to restrain myself hahah! I would have loved to see you at karaoke

Hi ladies....

I am going to be quick today...I already have two kids....DD had an appt..soon as she gets back I am headed to other DD's house to paint...getting ready for the new little one....she picked out some very pretty colors...I will take pics when it's done. Oh...The baby shower turned out pretty good...DD's SIL drew as much attention to herself as she could...but DD got several nice things for the baby!!

Andrea...Congrats again...I gotcha in Merkee's forum too! Wowzers!!!!

Sandra..I am routing for ya!!! You were busy this weekend....all that catching up on house stuff and all over the gallery and forum here!! You go girl!!

I don't have anything too firm on the agenda for today. I should pick up the house a little, and I have a variety of computer things to do...a school thing or two, a college class thing, scrapping, prepping for a big meeting next week, getting ready for my trip next week...Nothing too taxing, but all stuff that could be done. =)

Chris - Oh, you sound like yourself again! Woo-hoo! Enjoy the lake. It's not weird that your kids are Billy fans...we just had watch some of Pitchman last week. He was an interesting guy for sure. That's so sad....if it's from a concussion, it reminds me of Natasha Richardson. What a week for celebrities...it didn't come in threes this week, it came in fours!

here it is 3 pm and

@faerywings you wont believe it, its so hot again,
Amelie is angry and crying the whole day, maybe to hot for her, dont likes to play, to eat nothing, thats really bad only crying, and so Im little bit tired now. Woke up to early today, 7am is not my time.
Wow to a lake, would be great, I have near me a river, but there is now a flood, so I cant go there with Amelie and sit in the sun.

Not to do many things today, only going to buy some food for the whole week and thats all, not much I know.
I sit the whole day in front of my notebook and surfing through the inet to find something to scrap, but I have no power, dont know why. Like to scrap but nothing works.

PS: Is anyone working with ps cs4? I have it since some days, and sry but Im too blind, I cant find how I can get red eyes away, does somebody know?

oh netherlands great not so far away from austria and germany, sad I was never there, oh no false I was there last summer for 2 minutes :smile: I was at the border one side was still germany, the other one was netherlands, im sure it was called Neue Straat there.

next year will drive through netherlands, i want to make holidays in denmark or sweden, not sure yet

oh and you have to make one of those great challenges or even lift some of the layouts in the gallery

puh its still hot here and Amelie is awake now and starts being angry again, i hate that, i need some rain or only a little bit colder

Mornin' ladies. I'm working on day 4 of a migraine and not feeling terribly chipper today, but, I wanted to pop in and pass out hugs to all of you, and grab 4 or 10 of Sara's doubleshots.

We had another busy weekend. IL's went camping (FIL is the one that busted his kneecap, and we had to get him away from his farm/ranch before he decided he could go out and work on that bum leg!!!) and Ella went with. I took the boys to visit on Saturday and we spent a lot of time swimming. The sun was in a funky spot and my photos from that day aren't the best, which just peeves me.

I'm working on cleaning up my laptop today. I take so many photos and rarely delete even the worst ones, so, that is my goal today. And than I am going to sign up for Mozy. I am so uneasy about my laptop crashing these days.

Chris - sweetie I am SO glad to hear you feeling a little better today!!!! How do you like the slider station thingie? I have always wondered how it works. So strange to hear that he had died. I am really wondering if it didn't have something to do with that plane bump. They aren't saying it did, but, it is a crazy coincidence if not.

Yvonne - welcome!!! Congrats on being on Shaui's CT - she is just too sweet. Please do join us here in the O's, we'd love to get to know you!

Sara - hey girl. My friend from Omaha sent me a link last week of all the awesome stuff going on in Omaha all year, and it made me think of you. Some days I wish I lived in Omaha, it would really give us something to do when we wanted to. But, there are other days I love living in the boonies. My friend and her family went to the big city concert thingie on Friday night and were wanting us to come down and go to that but it didn't work out this weekend. Hopefully next year!

Cornelia - Hi there. How old is your Amelia? I adore that name. I hate the heat too. My kids get very red cheeked very quickly outside in the heat, and I hate to take them out.

Chris - Nick is feeling a little better the scabs are coming off. We had the madien voyage into the pool yesterday Dh, myself & Nick. It was SOOOOO cold *LOL* but tons of fun even if it was for 15 minutes We are hoping it will warm up by this afternoon for round 2!! The best part was my dad was here so he took photos of the three of us in the pool for the first time...alll 3 of us!!! Wooot I am in a photo...!!

Chris (Part II hahahaha) "Super" Market to me is an oxy-moron....just not right!! So glad you were able to go to the lake yesterday!! Hope today is just as fab!

I have tons of housework to do....TONS....need to break out the "Things to do" list *sigh* Hopefully by 1pm the pool will be warm enough for a dip Tonight if I am not exhausted I *need* - yes I said *need* not want...to scrap!!!

well the interview went fine... they said they have a couple more steps than they used to when hiring people... so they said it would be a couple of days... I went ahead and left the other job... my supervisor was really quite rude and barely looked up from her computer and made the snide comment that she wished I'd known on day 2 that I couldn't do it... so it's been a rough day since my interview... but I'm home now and can do some of the cleaning I needed to do for our trip....

I feel so out of the loop. I have been so busy or unmotivated for the past few days. I had Relay this weekend. It was an amazing experience. I walked 10 miles and my whole body still hurts. A friend of mine walked 22 miles. She had planned on 20 but ended up with 22. She is amazing. Last year she walked 15 and then she had a seizure and had to stop. This year her plan was 20 provided there were no seizures. She is an amazing girl. 22 miles. She not only has epilepsy, but is deaf and currently if fighting leukemia. She works 4 10 hour days so that she can get cancer treatments one day a week. She was all excited that she gained 2 pounds and is now weighing in at 80 pounds. And then on top of everything she deals with she is still the class clown. She is such an amazing girl. What amazed me at Relay was realizing that her story is one of sooooo many. There were so many people there with so many different stories. Then at 10PM they did the memorial hour. they read names for an hour of people that had passed from cancer. Then the inside of the track was surrounded by luminaries with names on it. It was amazing and heartbreaking. I am so glad I had the opportunity to participate in this event. Ethan went 8 miles. he is such a rock star.

Today we are home sick. Well, Ethan is sick. he has a fever and is just kinda icky. So we are laying in bed today watching Princess Protection. I love the Disney channel. I would spend all day watching Hannah Montana, wizards of Waverly Place and iCarly. Lame, I know. But I love it. Ethan loves watching them too so it works out for me. lol!!

So...we've got some new people today. Awesome.

Cornelia - sounds like you have your hands full with your baby girl and some hot weather. Where are you from?? I saw you asked about SO. That is Scrap Orchard. It is another scrap site and they are doing a site CT call right now. For most of us Oscraps is basically our home site but a lot of us do stuff with other sites too. For instance...I am on the CT for Danielle Young and Sweet Genevieve here but I also CT for 2 other people at two other sites. There are so many awesome designers they unfortunately can't fit them all at one site. I absolutely love the designers here. They all have their own style and are just awesome. I hope you love it here as much as we all do.

Yvonna - Congrats on your guest spot. I would love to be on a team for her. Her products are amazing. I own a lot of stuff by her and love to use it. I also love the Netherlands. I went there a couple of times. I lived in Italy for 3 years and did a lot of traveling while I was there. My husband went to Nijmegen a couple of times for the 100 mile walk. I didn't get to go with him, but he had an amazing time, although he felt like his heet were going to fall off by the end. Welcome to the O.

Chris - I am so glad you are feeling better this week. that is awesome that you are finally getting some great weather. Enjoy your night with the sliders. That sounds yummy and a great way to tribute Billy Mays. I wasn't a big fan of his or anything, but it is so sad that he died so young. Such a strange week.

Sandra - i missed what happened with your job. I hope this new job works out for you.

Linda - How exciting for you and the coming new baby. I know how much it meant to me to have my mom around and helping me when Addie came (I was in Italy and she wasn't able to help with Ethan in the same way) and I think it is great that you will be able to be with your daughter.

Dawn - sorry you are home sick. I hope you feel better soon. That is the worst kind of sick too.

Sara - I would love some doubleshots today. Plus turkey bacon? Yummy. good luck deciding what you want to do today.

Tali - your poor head. Sounds like you had a fun weekend though. I hope that headache goes away.

Kat - I hope you get everything done. I don't even try flowers...for one, not sure where I'd find the time, and two I kill everything green. I hope you get some enjoyment out of your scrapping commitments.

We have 2 daughters, Imke she just turned 3, and Fenna, she is 9 months. Imke loves to watch the Mickey Mouse Club!
Fenna has been sick since last thursday. She started to have high fever, up to 40.2c! Now she has little red spots all over her body. I think it is also because of the hot weather..

Sandra, gosh the supervisor is acting like an ass! Good luck on your new job!

Tali, feeling better now? Migraine is NOT funny! I have it sometimes as well.. I'd rather have a stomach ache LOL

Im from germany, originally I was born in Austria and lived there for 19 years and then moved to Michael to germany, about 400 km away from my home. But we will move byk to Austria in 2 years, yeah
Oh Im also in lots of forums, some german in some CT's and in my own forum which I try to make little bigger, but thats more difficult than I thought at the beginning, there are too many forums out there. Wow I would also love to be in the CT or even Guest for a designer at oscraps, they have so fabulous work, amazing. I only have CTs which like layouts fully loaded with elements, and not really my new minimalistic scraping style. :roll:

Some hours ago Michael destroyed half of our plates, he has trown them to the floor, it was so loud, unbelieveable. But now I can buy a new one, yeah go shopping

Tali - Oh girl. Migraines suck. I hope the Doubleshots help....I'll keep them coming. I even bought the "light" ones this time too. There is so much going on this summer. I have a whole calendar of stuff going on. The Omaha World Herald website had a huge article, but the revamped their website (horribly I might add) and the link isn't working and I can't find it. I love Omaha because I think it's the right balance of smaller city and bigger city. =)

Sandra - I hope you get the job at the other place. You should feel no worries about leaving that job. It's a toxic place and people like that are not worth your time of day. Hang in there honey!!

Hi ladies...Painting was a bust for today! We will try again tomorrow! Probably very early!! So I have been cleaning closets and got a page scrapped for the "Song in your Head" challenge...I need to vaccum...my vaccum is in the shop..geez...the prongs on the plug broke...I almost decided to get a new one for what it's costing to fix this one...but it's still works great...sooooo


Tali...sorry about the headaches dear...I am feeling for ya! Oldest DD has had them since she was TWO!! Sounds like your weekend was Great...and I know what you mean about cleaning up the computer!! Mine needs it bad!!!!

I am happy to be here for my kids...I guess because I married so young and had my kids young, we kind of did some growing together...we are very close and I really would never expect they would move from here. But we live in that type of community too...most kids come back after college to be near their parents. A lot of the things I do for them is not that necessary, like painting. But I want to do it...I like doing things like that for them!

Well ladies...I am headed to finish cleaning out the last closet, and then fix some dinner....I am seeing a good old fashioned southern cooked meal tonight...I usually bake or grill everything and steam my veggies....healthy cooking!! BUT every now and then...some fried chicken and fried potatoes just have be done!!! YUM!!

Cornelia - I figure practice makes perfect as far as English goes. Feel free to work on your English here. So you live in germany and are from Austria. I used to spend a lot of time near Kufstein. We would stay in a gasthaus there so that we could ski...well, my husband would ski and I would sit in the lodge and drink hot chocolate. I loved going up there. All of Bavaria was absolutely gorgeous. We used to travel to Asiago which was a local bavarian village in Italy (yes this is where Asiago cheese is from). I just love Europe. I really hope that if the military moves us again they send us to Germany. We'd get sent to Landstuhl if we went back to Europe.

Yvonna - only 45 minutes from Nijmegen, huh? Your country is so beautiful i have personally only been to amsterdam. I was amazed at how clean it was with all the tourists. I learned so much when I visited there. I went there with my brother. I hope that if we get a chance to go back to Europe we will be able to spend more time in the Netherlands touring the countryside. Amazing country.

Sara - I hope this crud goes away too. people aren't supposed to be sick in the summer. It is a dreary weather thing to be sick, don't you think? Lame!!

Linda - I just think it is awesome you get to spend so much time with your kids. Being probably about the same age as your kids and in the same time of my life as them, I just think it is amazing how much you do for them so willingly. I see other people do too much for their kids so that they get abused and then my parents live just far enough away that they can't do all that much. I would love it if my parents lived just a little closer so that they could spend more time doing a little bit of the day to day stuff with my kids. It is awesome. Oh, I am hoping to put up a post on FB and my blog tomorrow all about my adventures in Relay. I found out that it actually started in Tacoma, WA about 20 minutes away and that the guy who started it actually works in one of the hospitals my dh works. Very interesting story.

OMG! It's almost 10:30 p.m. at my house and I'm finally getting to the Daily O's, but at least I got here!
I worked in the garden more today - yes, it's a never ending battle and Chris - I've done that too - been walking along and a weed just bekons me to pull it, does not matter where I am
We belong to a club at a little micro brewery in Sioux Falls - tonight they had one of their " Mug club" events. Free Appetizers and they were AMAZING! The London Broil was sinful!. So we had a few mugs of beer with friends and appetizers after Mr. Wonderful got off of work. Fun night - no karaoke though!
Tomorrow will be more work in the yard and garden, probably time to mow again On Wednesday I'll be working on scheduling at school again and picking up my new laptop! All of our faculty are getting new Mac laptops of some description. Not at all sure how I feel about that yet, being a die hard PC girl.........
