Good morning, my sweethearts!
More rain here all day today. Blech. I wish the weather would even itself out. Drought, then floods, it's a mess.

How was everyone's weekend? I got myself mostly caught up on the housework and scrapping. I finished the LO I was working on, it's for a kit coming out later this week. @vickyday keep your eyes open for it :D
The sun was out all morning so I grabbed a quick lunch and was ready to clean up the yard a little when my ILs called and wanted to come up to visit. I asked them to give me an hour or so to work outside and the timing was perfect. As my hour was almost up, the rain started.

I am heading to my parents later this morning. They are taking me to a fancy-schmancy restaurant for lunch. The fire dept gave my dad a gift certificate for something he did last year and they still haven't used it. They can't see spending a lot of money just to eat (you ever wonder where I get that from, here is a prime example *g* ) but are more than happy to spend it on me (also: me).
Other than getting ready to go out (yikes- makeup will be needed), I only have a few small things to work on here. I have to clean out the fridge. With Gary not eating and the kids not really around, everything feels like it is piling up and going bad. I made homemade pizzas on Wednesday (white pie with broccoli and garlic, and a deep dish creamed spinach) and I have been eating them ever since. I finally finished the last slice of spinach for dinner last night LOL

MeMeMonday:
I am going to order a glass of pinot with my lunch and live it up!

:loveangel: to everyone

Good morning ladies! It's going to be another hot one here. Got my desk moved into the bedroom so that I can work while all of the commotion is going on. Assuming that there is commotion going on. Joey...our guy who is going to build the office...called yesterday and said he would be here at 1:00. He wanted a little time off between jobs. I'm sure that you will see plenty about Joey in the next few days.

I started a layout this morning for the Color Play later this week and I'm almost finished. So that made me happy. Lots of birds singing in the backyard today but none at the feeder yet. Yesterday, my male cardinal came several times. The dogs ignore him and he ignores them so it works nicely.

I need to get my book read for book club on Saturday. And we are nearing the end on the boxes in Sydney's room. By this time next week, I'm confident that will be done. Then we can start figuring out the storage space and what the plans are going forward. She has taken over the guest room...who knows if she will ever move out. LOL

@faerywings enjoy your lunch with your parents!

@LSlycord Hey, you deserve a morning to sleep in, you have been running non-stop for months. The sun will come up tomorrow, as they say ;)
This time next week you will be all settled into a brand new office space, how awesome is that? That's too bad about the sun keeping you from seeing the birds, maybe in a few weeks the sun will have shifted ad the angles will be better to see them. I am LMBO over titmouses/titmice and the spell check. Mine- Grammarly- is doing the same thing.

@vickyday Yay for the sun on Sunday. That's a SUN-YAY, for sure :rotfl:
Hope you guys made it out for a nice ride together.

@bcgal00 Ugh, that sucks about the PS update. Have you been purging unused actions/brushes as you load them back in? I recently cleaned out a ton of old styles that I had collected when there was a digital scrap section on About.com. Ahhh, the good old days of hoarding scrap freebies :p
Were you surprised at the end of the book too?

@Nonni F You can see in the photo I shared yesterday I have an armband with a big "smudge" underneath-- that used to say Caitlyn. hahaha! Most of mine have held up pretty ok visually. It is more that mine scream "1990s/2000s." I can never go to a carnival and have someone guess my age- one look at the tattoos and they would pin my age down in a heartbeat. :giggle4:
If you got one done on your upper arm, I bet the skin there were be fine for one.

@Cherylndesigns The shopping trip was a big success! Caitlyn swears by those skirts- they call them "modesty shorts" in her age range. Such a great idea, I remember back in the day wearing bike shorts underneath miniskirts.
Love that your bribed Chuck with candy LOL!
Thank goodness, I didn't streak. I almost wish I had so that way I would know if the tanner was working.
Good for Branden for knowing where he wants to be relationship-wise at this point in his life. I really thought that Scott and Leah were going to be one of the ones that could make it past and beyond. In hindsight, I should have seen the signs.
I say "like a really old woman who loves tattoos." :floorlaugh:
Same!!!!

Oh my loves, I better get the day started. xoxoxo

Good Monday Morning!
YEP! Got to 90* yesterday! But, the humidity was not awful and there was a slight breeze, but I did stay indoors for the most part, except those times when I took Asher out.

Mark and I took a bike ride yesterday afternoon late. We left at 6ish. He is letting his daughter's dogs out while she is on vacation. She lives about 20 minutes away, maybe a little more. So we rode there and hung out while the dogs ran some energy off. When we left we rode so many back roads that I didn't know where I was for the most part! That's OK! I just enjoyed the ride! We got back home just after 8. Great ride!

Today, nothing much planned. I may run to Walmart for a few things. But first Mark wants to do lunch! He is making it a habit lately, LOL! That's OK! As long as my stomach is up for it, I'm good with it!

It isn't raining right now, and it is brighter out than it has been for a couple of weeks, but it does look like it might rain later. That may make my decision as to whether I go to Walmart or not!

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Good Monday Morning everyone! It is a very warm and sunny morning here on the Island! I would love to send some of this sunshine to everyone who has a rainy, cloudy day today! No moisture in sight for us for the entire week, it is getting very dry again! It was another very busy weekend for my Gary and and myself! Lots of yard work again and many trips to the local stores for supplies. Wine bottling and getting the front of the house all scrubbed and clean. We thought that we might have to hire someone to come and paint the front of the house, but after getting all the crud off, it looks great again and we can hold off on the painting job for at least one more year. Hooray!! This week will be busy preparing some meals to put in the freezer for when the house is full and it is my sister Pam's birthday coming up so my sister Wendy and I are getting something put together for that day. I haven't seen my sister Pam since my birthday in April :crying1:. There will be lots of catching up to do with my sisters!! :groupchat:. I have been shamefully absent here at the O and I really need to do some catching up!

@faerywings - Have a wonderful time at your lunch today with your parents!! It is so nice that they want to spend their GC to take you out for a meal! Sorry your Gary is still not feeling well enough to eat much, hopefully he will be up to some good meals soon. Yes order a glass of Pinot with your lunch or maybe even two?? Or maybe not, I am guessing you have to drive home after your lunch and we don't want you getting pulled over by the police!!

@LSlycord - How great to have a new office built just for you!! I am envious!! Hope Joey gets started on the project this afternoon, you will have to take some photos of the before and after!

@tanteva - Have fun playing with your new goodies from Lynne!! How could you ever resist such beautiful goodies!!

@vickyday - Your ride yesterday sounds like it was so much fun! How nice to go down a bunch of backroads! Good thing your Mark knew where he was going so you could just sit back and enjoy the scenery!! You get to go out for lunch again?? Lucky you!!

I need to go through all of the posts from the weekend and find out what the rest of you wonderful ladies have been up to. I will try to pop in later to catch up with all of you! Have a wonderful Monday! :cowwaving:

Good morning ladies. I am still fighting with PS. I have to uninstall and re-install numerous times to finally get it to load a photo so I can scrap. It took me all day to get a LO done for color play. I've got a few more things to try today and will try to get adobe on the phone to troubleshoot. The unfortunate thing is that adobe never accepts responsibility and always tries to blame the PC or plugins for problems. I already disconnected all plugins and that wasn't the problem. Sure hope I get it working today. I hate paying for a program that doesn't work.

It's hot again here so I'll go to the dog park soon because the temps are climbing fast.

@faerywings Enjoy the lunch with your mom and dad. The ending wasn't entirely a surprise but I sure did love the whole book and how it ended. You'd think the book would be a downer b/c of the premise of the story but it isn't, just the opposite.

@LSlycord What is your book club selection?

I need to get going and Remi is ready for the park. HAGD everyone.

Good morning. Thought I'd better jump on here while I can. It's hot here - in the 90's - ugh. I defininately need to water all of the plants. My beans have blooms - I hope the critters don't come and eat them like they did my tomatoes. We need to put out some repellent, but haven't done it yet. We have never had this problem before, but the deer population on the property is really big this year. We see them every evening and sometimes even during the day. Chuck saw two of them up at Adrienne's Saturday while we were all in the house eating. He didn't feel like going, but was sitting in the window and he said the deer came clear up on their back patio. I was surprised the dogs didn't bark.

Chris @faerywings have a good lunch today and enjoy that fancy restaurant with your folks. I hope they behave. LOL Hello to everyone - I'm going to get off here and get something done.

Darn this thing - I just lost the last half of my post. Forgot to c/p. Grrrrrrr. Guess that's a sign for me to get busy. Hugs to all.

Sounds like you had a busy weekend! Glad you are going to be able to put off painting the house for another year!
Yes, Mark and I went to lunch again today! He complains about the cost of eating out and then wants to go out to lunch, LOL! But, we have started splitting it since he says eating too much at lunch makes him tired in the afternoon. Plus, I cannot eat much at one time, so it is a win-win!

Good evening, everyone! I'm about twelve hours behind the chatter, but I made it before turning in for the night.
Lots of storms here today...and downpours. A busy day at work and nothing exciting here in my corner. I will check in tomorrow. Tuesdays are quieter and catch up on what everyone is up to. Just wanted to wish you all a good evening.

xoxoxox
Peace
