The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hey hey hey its a happy happy Monday! (I am just getting in touch with my Inner Sally:phone:)

Rainy and relatively quiet day here today. Errands and food shopping this morning (alone this time!) and then the rest of the day is here to scrap. Gary's urologist appt is today so if you could keep him in your thoughts, you know I appreciate it!

Other than that, I am feeling kind of quiet. I was in an off mood all day yesterday, very sad and lonely-ish. I wonder if it has to do with my b-day? Feeling old, another year closing and thinking what have I done with my life, maybe? I guess it didn't help that my sweet mother bought me some clothes and nothing fits- I need a bigger size and that is badbadbadbad in my head.

Better get going before I make you all feel sad and lonely-ish with me.
Oh wait!!

I haven't done Gratitudes in a long long time. They always make me feel better.

Today I am grateful for:

  • my family who are giving me a week of doing housework for my b-day so I don't have to
  • seeing my mom and Cait together, having fun
  • being able to relax at the beach for a couple of hours yesterday
  • Dr Who on Netflix
  • that I have money to buy groceries today when so many others do not
What are you grateful for today?

Have a great one!

Good Morning!

How did it get to be Monday already? Spent the weekend in Hot Springs, Arkansas with my hubby. We went with half a plan and let the rest of the weekend unfold as we decided where to go and what to do. We wandered the lovely downtown shops and galleries and he waited patiently while I snapped shots all along the way. Beautiful scenery through the mountains and at the lake. We had some wonderful meals and even tried alligator and crawfish..........a new experience and very good. Was a nice weekend!

Lots on my list to do today, but will now call it a week long list to accomplish.

Chris- Hope your sad mood passes and you find some time to do something you enjoy. Yep, maybe your birthday coming up is causing you to be more reflective and quiet. Thinking about ya!

Enjoy your Monday all!

Good morning. Lunches packed, instructions for Daddy to get kids dressed with swimsuits under clothes for daycare. Instructions for Sydney on what to pack for soccer camp. Note to Shaun to have his stuff ready for his swim meet so that we don't need to look for that when we get home. I'm off to work...and then run home for lunch to pick up Syd from soccer camp to take her back to daycare then back to work so I can get home on time to get kids picked up and Shaun to swim meet. My life is running away with me.

Gratitudes:
That my kids can do soccer camps and swim clubs
That my dad is healthy
That my extended family is nearby and a big important part of my life

((hugs)) to all

Morning girlies!!! Happy, Happy, Monday!! A beautiful sunny morning of course... I have to work!! Spent the major part of the day yesterday outside and going to the landscape place to pick up gravel. Hauled what seemed like a ton of gravel from the back of the pick up truck to the backyard. Really it was only one truck load, but oh my such heavy work!! We are half way done our job of getting new gravel along part of the new fence and now have to finish off the rest next weekend and get a spot ready for the shed that MG wants to set up. FIL is coming to pick up the huge rocks that have been sitting in the backyard that were dug up when the fence went in. So MG and FIL will be busy doing that today. FIL uses them as a break water at the Lake. It will be nice to have them gone!

Chris - Try not to dwell on the fact that your birthday has made you one year older, think of it as having one more year of happiness spent with all the people that you love! Thinking of your Gary today  A week of no housework for your birthday, sounds like the perfect gift to me!! Your gratitude list is inspiring!

Donna - Sounds like your weekend away was wonderful!! Can't wait to see some of your photos, some wonderful pages to be scrapped coming up!! Not sure I would have tried the alligator and crawfish?? I am not very good at trying new foods! Hope your Monday is great!!

LindaS - I don't know how you manage to keep up with your busy kids!! Sounds like your summer will be non stop for you! Lots to be grateful for, your list is a good one!

Headed to the shower and get this day started... Hope you all have a Marvelous Monday

Today I am grateful for:
- The sunny warm weather that has finally arrived!
- The fact that I am not sore (yet) from all the shoveling I did yesterday!
- That I am healthy enough to be able to do all that kind of work outside!
- That my MG and I work together so well ( I love that man!!)

hey, there. it's Monday. which to me feels just like Wednesday or Tuesday. but the weather is delightful.right now 64 degrees and really breezy. i was out watering the garden and the spray was getting blown back at me.

Chris. i'm 62. so feel wildly cheerful that YOU are not 62! :eek2::eek2: try not to be sad about birthdays. i always quote a James Taylor tune when people are bummed about birthdays:

The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time.
Any fool can do it.
There ain't nothin' to it.
Nobody knows how we got to the top of the hill,
But since we're on our way down
We might as well enjoy the ride.

Prayers for Gary today. Good luck, too.

Trudy, the rock and gravel work sounds EXHAUSTING. Bet it's going to look great, though. Too bad you have to work on the first sunny day in a while!

Linda, is your day filled with Post-It notes?? I'd never be able to keep all that straight unless i had reminders posted everywhere! whew! :faint:
