And we are down to the last full week of June. *wipes sweat from brow*
That means I am in the homestretch and only one more family even to deal with until September.

Cait has finals today and tomorrow and then she is done. I am babysitting Mon, Tues and I think Wed and then that is done too.

How was everyone's weekend? Yesterday turned out pretty nice, IMO. Leah and her mom came up for breakfast as well as my parents. It has to be a hard day for them (Leah's dad passed away a few years ago from cancer :( ) so it was good to have them with us. Grayt wasn't feeling well and slept on and off most of the day but if that is what his body needed, then that is exactly what he should do. My mom brought up some salmon for us to have for dinner so I didn't even have to go crazy cooking.

My BFFATS (Best friend across the street from now on) texted me to see if I wanted to pop over for a bit to chat, which I did. It is feeling good to start getting out into the land of the living.
And wow, it got sunny and hot in the afternoon, and then it poured and poured and poured. I have a bunch of very soggy piles of dog poop to clean up today. *holds nose*

I hope everyone has a happy Monday!!!

I better get to personals quickly. The boy I babysit for will be here soon and I have to get Cait up too.

Looks like it is just the three of us here the past few days.

Trudy- I wish I was able to send you some of this rain! I am sorry that you are missing your dad, it must be so hard  How was your dinner with FIL?
I can't wait to see the finished sandbox!

Nancy- we have a large branch sort of hanging over our house, but it is in the back and we would need to have a crane come in to take it down. It is good to have that tree down before it falls, for sure.
That stinks about your son's GF and his ear issues.

Gotta fly! xoxoxo

good boring - felt very bad for my DH who often annoys me but our oldest son pretty much failed for father's day. They were to go shooting but the forecast but that on hold and then he said lunch but yesterday he did not hear anything until after 3:30 and then it was to ask where to go for dinner. We don't care if we go anywhere but to wait that long anyway I felt bad for him. Chaz had told his Dad happy father's day on Friday when asked if his Dad would mind if he went to DC to see Ashley and of course Dad said yes. And Chaz did txt early. Most of the time I don't put much stock on made up occasions but if you have something planned then you should follow through. Enough of my rant! We did actually have a great day. I got the lawn mowed after the sun came out and we did not get that much rain overnight so that was good. Watched women's soccer and after dinner got in a good walk. Then I saw on line about a new series on Masterpiece Poldark. Started that and it looks like it is going to be really good. And after Poldark was a show called Crimson Fields and that was really good. So now I know what I will be watching on Sunday nights. Today the humidity is lower so looking forward to my bike ride. Not much else. So going to enjoy the first full day of summer!

Chris only two days left for school in my town too! Good luck to Cait and her finals. Then 8 weeks of summer bliss. How nice that you had such a nice group for celebrating!

Trudy how was the fire by the lake? That sounds like such a wonderful way to spend the evening. And there is nothing like the stars out west.

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone... I am up with the birds again today :mmph: oh well got breakfast for DH and myself and now I will try to get an hour more of sleep. Wish me luck!! Yesterday was a very busy one, with planting all the shrubs and working on the sandbox all before heading out to lunch with FIL and MIL and SIL. We had a lovely time and it was so warm we walked along the water for a bit but all wanted to get back home to enjoy the rest of the day. Then I trimmed my rose bushes and had to go in to cool off a bit, I felt kind of nauseous. I was wearing my sun hat, but it was so warm where I was working and guess I was just out in the heat a bit too long. The Wet West Coaster is not used to that kind of heat in June LOL.

Chris - So glad that you are getting out into the world again also!! Hope you enjoyed your time with your family! Too bad that Gary was not well, but hope he is feeling better today after his day of sleeping! I will post a photo of the sandbox and mud station when they are all done, should be soon.

Nancy - It is sad that your one son did not think to be a little more considerate to your DH!! They don't get much appreciation as it is and it is important to have some kind of recognition if only for one day. Our time at the lake around the fire pit was lots of fun. One of my SIL's friends brought his guitar and we sang a few songs, he is very talented! Did not see much for stars as by the time we left it was just really getting dark. The longer days in June make it hard to see the stars until very late at night and we are too old for that :becky: But by the middle of July and August the sky is pretty spectacular!

Ok I am falling asleep here at the computer, so better head off to bed for a bit. Have a fabulous Monday everyone!!

Afternoon, Ozzies. It's a lovely day here for now which will be nice for errands to run later. Still not feeling chatty, but am getting some scrapping done though not totally inspired. Father's Day is a non-event for us as neither of us has one nor is one. DH's birthday was Friday but he didn't even want to do anything special for dinner.

Chris, how nice you're getting out in these nice days. I've forgotten if I know what Cait will be doing for the summer.

Nancy, fooey on the sons for not being more celebratory. Hope to join in a little of watching women's soccer tonight.

Trudy, you sound really ready for your summer visit. Look forward to the photos.

Hope it's a good one for all.
