Happy Happy happy Monday! How are all of you? I am better now than I was a half hour ago. I was int he middle of an intense dream- a murder trail, complete with defendant in an electric chair- when my alarm went off. It took me a long time to get out of the dream, into wake-up zone and then finally out of bed.
It the last day of school for Caitlyn and tonight is her graduation. She is really not wanting to go and is disgusted by the bright gold satin robes the girls have to wear. Apparently in a discussion at school the girls decided that they should get the black robes, b/c black is slimming. Now, *that* is one bit of reasoning I hadn't heard before LOL
Our Father's Day was nice, we pulled off a yummy breakfast and Yes! Gary was able to eat it! Then off to MIL's with the all of my extended family there. My SIL Diane has two girls 8 and 11, and they think Scott is just the funniest, coolest thing ever, especially the 8 yo. She just looks at Scott and laughs hysterically. Its so nice to see that.
Then I feel into bed, grabbed my book and then I hear banging out on my front steps. Ray starts to growl a bit, and I look outside- the Mama bear is back trying to steal our garbage can again (did I tell y'all Gary and Scott were able to rescue it?) but we tied it to the stair railing. A little while later, I hear more crashing and she got my neighbor across the street's can.Rolled it down her drive, across the road, across my lawn and then into the woods. I wish I could have taped it because what a crazy sight! Big Mama bear and literally rolling and dragging a bear can..... and the little ones running around beside her.
I have to admit I am both a bit worried for her and by her. Four cubs is unusual and beign that she is consistently going after bear cans means that there is not much easier for her to get- whether it be non-secured garbage or naturally foraged food. She is either going to have to stay aggressive in food-gathering and risk getting tagged and or killed, or those cubs might suffer.
Enough about me, how was your weekend? What are you plans for today? I hope they include lots of good stuff!
Me Me Monday:
I have pictures from yesterday and from Cait's dance I want to scrap!
