Hey there, Oooos! How are you doing today? Ready for the new week?
I am gearing up to get my head in the game.

Who's with me?

Good thing because I have neither! :floorlaugh:

We had a pretty quiet day here. I started the grocery order and got the house ready for my parents' visit. Sam stayed for a while, which was nice and made it feel more cheerful. My dad is just tired, depressed, and cranky. My mom is just my mom, which sets him off. They got a kick out of meeting Caitlyn's new girls at least :)
Mouse-- good thoughts to her if you can. She lost 20 grams in a week. That's a bad sign. The head tilt is slightly worse. Also bad. Caitlyn broke my heart yesterday. She texted me if I could go up to her room and she looked so darn sad. She always feels helpless when her babies get old/ill. She said that she needed her mom and we both cried a little.

But we pulled it together. I made a really yummy dinner (cauliflower steaks, tofu, and asparagus) and we watched Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, starring Daniel Radcliffe. I don't know what we were expecting, but but sure wasn't what we saw. I guess we thought it was more biopic than parody but damn, I think we should have known better. It was very, very funny. I love that Daniel Radcliffe is having a blast doing what he wants to do. We loved his "Miracles Workers" shows too.

Today I am home. I am fighting inflammation in my body and hoping it isn't Lyme-related. My foot, shoulder/neck, and cartilage piercings are all hot and swollen. My hands feel ok and my brain feels ok (feels normal *for me* hahah!). Maybe I am just pushing myself.
Oh, and that reminds me-- Steam cleaning and pet mishaps: 72 hours. Might be a record. Which is utterly pathetic. But for some reason, Whisky peed in the house. She hasn't done that in *years*. For real, years and years and the last time was when we left the dogs alone for a crazy long time and it wasn't her fault.

HAGD!!!

Yes and yes. Ilene and I are planning to leave around noon. We will stop somewhere for lunch on the way out. We are all stopping midway for the night then finishing the trip on Tuesday. The others are not leaving until later in the day because of work. I did not want to be driving after dark.
Have a fun and safe trip! Good thoughts heading to your car too.
@faerywings you are one of the most supportive people I know. No wonder you are so good at what you do.
Thank you, that is very sweet! I try my best with varying results. I tend to take on other people's emotions and have an inherent drive to fix things. I guess supporting other people is my healthy outlet for that. ;)
Well yesterday it was rainy and chilly so I spent the whole day in the trailer working on more campsites and visits to friends in VT. I also contacted many FL sisters to see how they are doing. My friend was over to check my plants but it is the rainy season so they are doing really well even if we shut off the irrigation for a day or so. She is picking figs and waiting for the pineapple.
*fingers crossed for good weather for you*
I can't imagine growing your own pineapple. I love pineapple and to have it fresh like that must be amazing.
You must be super excited to be seeing your family and G-DD in two days!

Good morning everyone. Hope you have enjoyed the celebration here. I had hoped to join in but have been too busy. Between family, dogs, games, photo walks, jewelry design and chores, my days are full. I struggle with scrapping these days but don't want to give it up just yet. I'll keep trying to find a balance.
I have no idea how you do everything that you do squeezed into the same hours that I have, hahaha!
I hope that you get some scrap time in soon. How is D feeling? Is the pleurisy better?
@BoatLady Debby, I was talking to hubs last night and he mentioned we had out first ever (state) heat advisory. Its issued more interior around Fairbanks. Its suppose to be in the 90°s next week
What the heck????? It is 59° again here in NJ.
90s in AK would probably feel like the 100s here.

:hug4: to you all!

We have been on the road a month already--time is flying by. Overcast and drizzly here all yesterday. I'm not used to 3 gloomy days in a row. We went for a late lunch for some Italian food...it was so yummy. Filled up the truck with diesel so we are ready to travel more. On the way back we saw a huge black bear crossing the road, they are all over here the ranger said. None on the camera last night.
Then I got in touch with our friends in VT to see it the dates I chose were ok for our stop there...come early, stay late she said. Then I worked on more camp reservations. So on our way back we wanted to stop in the Mystic CT area so we could visit our old marina friends and visit town again. Most places were full or very expensive $150 +TX a night ---I don't want to buy the place- I just want to spend a night!!!!. So I looked into a camp organization we belong to called Harvest Host...free nights at winery's, farms, brewery's, museums and churches...they just want you to buy something-a bottle of wine or tour a museum- works for me. So I found a Marina in New London right next to Mystic.......I got in touch and we are staying there...I'm so excited. Maybe I wont have a boat at the dock but I will see them from land. What a night we had last night I was so excited to be staying at the marina. I got in touch with a bunch of our friends there and already about 10 of them are all set to meet us for a dinner right near the marina we are going to be at. We got a call from some of them offering to use their yard for a night or two so we may be in the area longer than we originally planned.....I'm so happy. One couple just got a 55 foot boat so we will be getting a ride in that...so happy they are such great people.

Talked to our son yesterday verifying where to park---same place as always by the water and electric at the garden just facing the other way. Grandson pitched yesterday-first time ever and they won the game. We will be at his house noonish today, so when Reed gets off the bus we will be there. That will be fun.

@AK_Tracy Wow that heat will melt the glaciers for sure. My friend who is up there now just sent pics of them with just long sleeve shirts and jeans so it must be warm. What is happening to our weather...it's freaky
I hope you can get out to enjoy some warm to heal you. Sit in the shade though that much heat might be too much for you.

@faerywings poor mouse not getting better...another dumb question...how old is it and what is their lifespan? daughters and mothers are a special ---you sound like me and my daughter!!!!
OMG i sure hope those pains are not from Lyme. Well of course you were overdoing it. When will we ever learn? Oh, maybe NEVER.
Keep an eye on Whisky. Years ago Pirate peed on the forward deck of the boat---he never ever peed on the boat!!!!. It turned out to be the beginning of kidney failure so had to get special food for him. He was good for about 4 more years. I sure hope it warms up there in NJ too. Enough of the rain too.

@vickyday Safe travels and have fun. I look forward to hearing about your adventure. I hope you make some pages

Ok better start getting ready to leave here. 3 + hour drive.

Have a great week O-Ladies

Wow, Debby! The happiness and excitement just rolled out of your post! So glad you are having a great time! Continued safe travels for you and your DH, too!
Ilene and I are planning to leave around noon! I will keep everyone updated and there will definitely be some pages scrapped!

Aww, hate to hear that Mouse is not doing any better! Poor Caitlyn! Made me teary just reading about it! Big hugs to her from all of us! I would add a hug emoji but my stupid smart phone won't let me!

Good morning
Just a quickie before heading out.
First stop is the church deposit.
Then I think I will grab an egg McMuffin before coming back to the house to load up and head to Ilene's. We want to be gone by noon.
Hope you all have a great week and I will try to keep you updated on our adventures. When I'm with Ilene it's always an adventure! ;)
Later, Taters!

Sunday was gray and dreary. We had planned on a picnic at a winery, but decided to move to a different one that has more tables under a roof. That worked out just fine. I had been afraid Fathers Day would make it hard to get a place, but it was practically empty. I guess people don't bring dads for wine. Maybe it's more a a beer holiday.

Rainy again today. The soil is so full of water that every time the weather service thinks there may be thunderstorms, they issue a Flood Watch, because there's no where for the water to go. We didn't get our bike ride in, of course.

Late last week we decided we'd host a bbq in the backyard this coming Sunday. I hope it doesn't rain but just in case, it gives me an excuse to really clean house this week, which is probably the main reason I decide to do this kind of thing. But, no, it will be fun.

My son-in-law texted my a photo of their guest bath, stripped to the studs, with the message, "Terri, here's your dream bathroom." LOL. They'll have plenty of time to build it back before I go back to Seattle.

I'd love to see your protest sign if you want to share :)
Meh, I wasn't very imaginative this time. Just "Stand up for democracy! It's up to us." I get inspired by all the great signs I see and wish I were more creative.

$150 a night!! You could stay in a hotel and have them pay for the air conditioning! The Harvest Host sounds like a great option. I bet you have a good time admiring the boats.

Grrrrrrr hit the wrong button and poof all my typing is gone. :sad2:
Well, what you didn't see me say already is I feel blah and dont wanna do adulting today. So I guess it fits. I'll try to come back later and retype my message. Need coffee and attitude adjustment :giggle4: Maybe I should go back to bed and start over.
