Good morning Ozies

Let´s start in another week. Half of June is over ! Unbelievable.
This week on Thursday my daughters final exams starts. Thursday in german, Friday in english. Than next monday math and Tuesday business administration and over !!!! I can´t believe that she is out of school, she is only 15 (16 in July). They grow up so fast.

my mobile phone contract ends June 30th. Here in germany you get every 2 years a new phone with a contract. I wanted the new Samsung Note or Iphone 6. But than saw an offer on televison where you get a mobile phone with a Playstation 4. my son dreams of a playstation 4. And all mothers know, we want our kids happy and I take the mobile phone which is in the bundle with the PSP4 which is a Sony . Not what I dreamed but enough for my purposes. And he was so thankful, hugged me and promised me "one day I will buy something big for you". :bounce:

So have a wonderful start in the week

Good morning Astrid!

I am back from my parents' lake house. I miss being there with no responsibilities, but I am glad to be home too. I missed my family a lot.
My mom picked me up and we got up there a little before dinner time. I chatted with my parents with a nice glass of wine and some cheese and crackers before dinner. Had dinner, went to bed. I slept for 12 hours!
I actually felt pretty darn good. My mom and I ran over to the Walmart to look for frames for my brother's birthday gift and part way through, I thought I was going to need to go to the furniture section and sit down LOL
We got back to my mom's house and all I wanted to do was take a nap. My dad had already left for church and my mom left her house keys-- in the house! Thankfully, my dad didn't lock the deadbolt and she was able to break in with a credit card. :spy:

Yesterday, my dad drove me over to see some waterfalls, but the bridge was out and we couldn't get close enough to see them. Had lunch and was home in time to see Scott for 5 minutes before he left for work.

Rainy Monday here, which is good-- it will force me to stay inside and catch up on stuff. The good news is that ATM , I am not dragging my butt like I was last week, Yay!

QOTD- What are you reading?
I recently finished Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King. It was OK, I think I like his creepy novels more than mystery/thriller types. Now I am reading At the Water's Edge by Sara Gruen, which I am really enjoying.

Hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend!

good morning - well I was part of the historical 500 million dollars spent to see Jurassic World. It will not win an Academy Award but it was really fun! Awesome special effects. I really think it would be so fun to be able to see dinosaurs in real life. We went with another couple and it was the first time we had been to the theater since it had been remodeled and it was awesome. Reserved seats - large seats that rock. Got in a good walk. My son was coming back from DC after seeing his girlfriend. And I was watching Sunday night baseball and it went into extra innings but just as my son got home the game ended. How funny was that. Perfect timing. It is raining and muggy and yucky! But I sill have hope for a break so I can get in a walk. Got several scrap pages done so that is good.

Chris so glad you had a great weekend. Glad you were not locked out of the house for long. That would have been the pits. 12 hours of sleep - I guess you were tired and needed the break. Bummer about the bridge being out!

Astrid glad you got a new phone and made your son happy! And yes we mother's try to go above and beyond for out kids.

Have a great day all!

Chris: sounds you had a great time with your parents. I appreciate every time with no responsibilities, we need this time out from time to time.

Nancy: my son told me about Jurassic world today and recognized it is also at the cinema here. I´m not really a fan of this movies, but he also mentioned the special effects in it.

Morning ladies... More hot dry weather today, Chris could you send me some of that :rain: We are now officially on water restriction level 2 and its not even the end of June yet!! We can only water the grass twice a week and only at certain hours in the early morning. Soon we will be at level 3 and that is when we really have to give up on ever trying to keep the grass green and we can only hand water all our plants and shrubs. WE NEED RAIN!!

Astrid - Wow it is hard to believe that our kids grow up so quickly, you must be so proud of your daughter! What a nice mom you are to make sure your son is also happy with the renewal of your phone contract. We moms are the best!! :becky:

Chris - I am so glad that you had this time to spend with your parents! 12 hours of sleep goes to show you that you really needed this rest! Too bad the bridge was out, it would have been so nice for you to see that waterfall! You could have gotten some nice pics! It sounds like it was a short but sweet trip!! Hope you can continue to get some much needed rest while at home, but we both know that won't happen LOL.

Nancy - Fun that you got to see the new Jurassic World Movie. I imagine the special effects were terrific and horrifying at the same time LOL. I have never been a big fan of the Jurassic movies, not sure what it is about them that I don't like, perhaps it the fear of being somethings dinner that freaks me out :becky: Hope your muggy ugly weather clears up for your walking!! Off the check out your new pages!

Not much to do today, I should start thinking about child proofing the house in readiness for the 2 year old. Oh and this weekend we purchased a lovely four piece set our lower front deck. Love seat, two chairs and a coffee table. It was on sale and the most comfortable one we have found so far. It will let us use our nice big front porch where we can get the cool evening breezes and get away from our horrible obnoxious neighbours!!
