The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
ye gads it is cold. But the sun is shining so I will take it, even if I am all wrapped up in my blanket.

How was everyone's weekend? I have to say, I am darn proud of myself. BFFATS texted to ask if I wanted to go to the lake with her. for a couple of hours. I was tempted to say no, that I had stuff I needed to do around the house, then I decided to go for it. I deserved some time with my feet in the sand and in the sun.
I had to use her DD's tag to get in, so I sat in the back of her car and tried to look like a kid heh!!! Once I got there, it was not a problem, I am such a familiar face- this is the first time in 15 years I haven't actually joined.

I am glad that I did it, since it is going to be a long kinda of week. Today is my LLMD appt and I was trying to run through my head about what to update her with.I know that my energy levels are better, pain is about the same, cognitive... depends on the day? Hope that is right.

And man, I have to say how nice it was to wake up at 5am, realize that I didn't have to get up yet, and go back to sleep until 6.

I have to go get stuff done- catch up on the laundry that I didn't do yesterday and al that. have a super day!!!

Sunday:

Kat- hey there, so good to see you! I love the new avi even if I miss the Cheery-O one. Ugh about the scheduling but I know that you can get it all done.
That is great that you were on a Team, I am lucky- I don't need to stay overnight but it looks like fun for the young'uns. I would love to stay to see the luminarias lt, but BFFATS posts pics so i can see them the next day.
Ravyn is not a social girl either. One of the Senior Pranks was that they could bring their dogs up to the field. You know that Cait was texting and calling me to bring her and she would have been miserable. J would have loved it but not with her knee ATM.

Nancy- Luther is too funny- J does that too, plants her feet and grunts. Since she has to go potting on a leash again, I had her outside and there was a bunny in the backyard, She almost took me down once she saw it.
How was the hockey game last night?

I am so stunned about Orlando. But at this point I am numb to it all. Just numb- over and over. Read an article saying that this was the 119 (IIRC) mass shooting is the US *this year.* i have to be numb or I will be an angry and incoherent mess.

Rae- such is the life of dogs! Walks, food, playtime and then nap time! I will have to keep my eyes ope for the grill sheet, don't think that I have seen one, but I also don't ever shop. heh!!! Gary is loving the cast iron sheet that my got him for grilling and that does squash and eggplant really yummy.
I would love to meet all of you IRL- it would be so much fun, Haddie and Ray could hide together and the rest of the pups can run around and we could sip wine and talk! :cosmo:

Trudy- eep! You are your Gary never stop! The house and yard are going to look even better than they do already. I have to prune back my azalea, I never remember when it is the right time, but I think it is after it is done blooming? Every year I google it, do it and forget it. I should add it to my calendar.
An Italian festival would be so much fun! Bet there is lots of food!

yes, lottery tickets and an O festival!! How much fun would that be :D

xoxo

good morning - yes it is chill this morning. Got Luther out and he is now napping. Yesterday my DH and I got into an heated discussion about what to do for Luther while we are on vacation. My son leaves around 8am and not home until near seven. I think that is a long time for Luther to be alone especially as he is a puppy. Since doggie day care is out I suggested asking the neighbor boy to walk him once a day. My husband was so upset but he has since calmed down. I think he thought the kid was 5 instead of a freshman in high school. He is the younger brother of the kid that mows our lawn. I went with him on a walk with Luther and he did just fine. He is coming back today to walk him again. I am sure that my DH is worried that Luther will get loose. I will talk to the kid and make sure he understands. But I think this is best. The family has two dogs so he is not afraid. I am glad that Luther will have company at one point during the day. My DH did get organized and cleaned the basement and the backyard. My son and I cleaned the house so things are looking good for our up coming trip. The Penguins are the Stanley Cup Champions and they won. But the league is crazy in love with Sidney Crosby and gave him the MVP trophy. Glad this is over!

Chris glad you got to put your feet in sand. It does wonders to take some time for yourself! How fun to not have to be up at 5am. Good luck at the doctor's.

Kat hope this week is easier at work and your days are shorter! Even if your Haddie does not like other dogs she does have her forever home and that is most important!

Rae yes win the lottery and we will all get together dogs included of course. It would be so fun!

Trudy your yard sounds so pretty! I need just a bit of your energy!

Have a great day!

Good morning, ladies. Beckham let me sleep until 7:00 and then started snuffling and bumping my hand to get up. So we got up, fed the dogs, grabbed a coffee and sat down to enjoy my book. So far I like it (All Dogs Go To Kevin). Then a few minutes of wrestling playtime with both dogs and now I need to get to work. I know there will be a ton of files waiting for me on the server b/c I left early Friday to go to the trailer so those late day files will come now when I open up the program. Both dogs are ready for their morning nap now and are curled up on each side of my chair.

Chris - glad you got get away with your friend and have some relaxing time. Bet it felt good to be able to go back to sleep for a bit this morning.

Nancy - glad you found someone to come take Luther out during the day. That is a long stretch, not only for him to not be able to go to the bathroom but also for interaction with anyone. Glad you have found someone to take him out.

Trudy - hope you're having a nice lazy morning, maybe sleeping in.

Gotta get to work, will check in later. Have a great day, everyone.

Agree! If anyone wins the lottery, I think we all need a massive roadtrip to somewhere to meet!!

Putting my Photoshop skills to work at work ... kinda of fun, but it's zapping my scrapping mojo a bit. My company puts on a charity golf tournament each year and I did the event program last year, and I'm doing it again this year. So far, it's taken up almost three days of work, but there's a deadline looming (the tournament's in two weeks!), so I've got to get it done. At least I did get a couple of the challenges done yesterday, which was a nice break from everything else.

Oh, to put my toes in sand right now and just hear the waves (lake or ocean, doesn't matter to me) ... that would be so nice. I know, I know, didn't I just get back from Hawaii a few months ago?! LOL Was almost too hot to garden this past weekend, but I did get some flowers for the planters on the front stoop, so that's looking nice'ish. Still need bags of mulch for the garden beds, though. Purchased a couple of squirrel status/decorations and put those in the front yesterday ... and then scared myself this morning as I left for work! LOL

Morning ladies... Cloudy and grey out this morning, but I think we are supposed to see some sunshine later today. It is my day to do nothing and after all the yard work etc. I am ready for my relaxing day!! I never got a chance to do my online shopping yesterday, so I will try again today. I might make a run up to Walmart to see if I can find some new candles to match the colours in my living room, but its not that important that I go today. Looking forward to hearing from DD and finding out how there little getaway was!

Chris - Hooray for not having to get up so early!! But 6am is still not really sleeping in! Hope you get lyme appt goes well! I am so happy that you went to the lake with your BFFATS it must have felt so good to put your toes in the sand!

Nancy - Hooray for finding someone to take Luther for his walk! He would be one lonely pup spending that much time all alone!! Yes Sid the kid is well liked, but DH and I think that he is a whining cry baby!! Not our fav player! You will now have to go through hockey withdrawal for a little bit. Hope that your hubby is not so grumpy anymore now that he knows its not a 5 yr old coming to take care of Luther LOL. Sounds like you are pretty much all ready for your trip!!

Rae - I was actually here before you and Kat this morning, but DD called on Skype so I had to delay finishing my post. I did not get to sleep in and was up around my usual time, but was being lazy and did not turn on my computer right away either. Hope that the work schedule is not too overwhelming for you today. So cute how Beckham wakes you up in the morning!

Kat - We were in a golf tournament a few weeks ago, so much fun!! Everything was paid for by my DH's work, over 100 golfers all with carts and steak dinner afterwards, lots of prizes (we did not win anything) Free water and gatorade and very cheap drinks that were brought to you on a big cart. I can't imagine all the work that goes into planning this and hope that you are not in charge of everything!! It would be so overwhelming! Too funny that you scared yourself with the bunny statues this morning!! :pound: Hope your work day is a good one!!

Ok I had better finally get something to eat and grab another cup of coffee, then some catchup here at the "O" and I will see what other kind of mischief I can get myself into. Oh BTW DD, Mason and Jonah had a fabulous weekend with hot weather and lots of playing on the beach, the beach was right out the back door, it was wonderful!! So happy for her!! Ok on with the day, have a great Monday everyone!!
