Daily Ooo's: Monday, July 9

What a beautiful day we have on tap! Crystal clear blue skies. BFFATS invited me to the lake with her today so while it isn't the ocean, I will be on the sand.

How was everyone's weekend? The weather was perfect in the afternoon for both days. I was so happy weeding outside. Crazy, right? heh!!
I don't know how long my carpets will look clean. but they look really nice right now. I just used vinegar and water to clean them. There was still so much spot cleaner in the carpet that hopefully, I got enough of the residue up. That must be what was making them so dirty looking.

Caitlyn and I took W for her walk and we talked about the rats. Their tumors are getting so big and you can tell they are having a bit more trouble getting around. Their cage is 4 levels and they make it up and down all of them but it is more of a struggle. I hate seeing the tumors too, they get bigger every day. But they aren't in pain and they are very happy. I have to keep reminding myself of that. Cait has noticed that I am distancing myself from them and suggested that I snuggle with them. That she understands that I am trying to protect myself but that I will regret it after they are gone. My girl is very wise. So last night, Muffin was up on my shoulder, happily chuckling away, when she felt that it was necessary to pee and poop on me. :roll:


God, it is going to be brutal when they die.
But until then, I am going to do as Cait says and love them and spoil them with treats.

I have to do food shopping/menu prep today. I am not looking forward to that, I have no clue of what to make. I cannot wait until I go to PA this weekend because that means that is out of my hands for 2 days. yay! I also have to make the appt with my breast surgeon. I am way overdue. Then off to the lake and then yoga/walk at the Botanical Gardens tonight.

Trudy- I saw your page and you love lovely!!!! I know that you are off to Paris and I am wishing you a wonderful, fun, exciting, and happy trip!! You have a fantastic July/Aug with family. So darn happy for you!

good morning - yesterday was Luther's 3rd birthday. He had a great day. Lots of treats and doggie play and long walk. My DH and I talked about cameras for our trip to Alaska and mine to Maine and we went into the city - yes my DH even drove. But we went early on a Sunday morning so the traffic was light. Not nonexistence but at least it was light. We my DH found a place to fix his camera and I got a new lens. We were not pressured to buy anything and I was able to try the lens on my camera. It was awesome. I am so happy came home and tried it out on just clover and bees in the back yard and I was so happy. Then went out to play fetch with Luther and got some fun photos. So now I feel like I am really ready to go to Alaska. Glad that I have this mini trip to Maine to practice. So I have errands to run today and laundry. For those wondering it is off Rockland, Maine to the island of Vinalhaven and then boat ride to Seal Island to see a red-billed tropic bird. This is the 3rd year it has come to this island so it should be around but then it is just to see it. My DH also had time to work in the back yard and did some weeding so that was nice.

Chris our weather has been so delightful. I am so enjoying sleeping with the windows open and low humidity. Should be warmer today so have lots of fun at the lake! Sand and sun are the best! That is too bad about the rats. As long as they are happy and eating that is wonderful! So funny they had to mark you that way.

Jean I guess the bird is not on the hot wire as this is the 3rd year. But the boat that is taking us was used when one person was doing their year of birds. I looked it up and it really is a very pretty bird and does have a striking red bill. Glad your weather is good.

Good morning girls,
it's raining these days and I love it usual, but now it complete this melancholic post vacation sadness. There is not much happening around me, except I'm obsessed to watch on Youtube videos from concert on which I couldn't go. Even worse my sister was in the town, but I forced her to not go too, because I couldn't handle it to be the only one missed it. Yep selfish!

So, Chris, yes I completely understand your feelings about desperate desire to be on vacation where you can't be. Fingers crossed to win from somewhere this Disney trip! Are you read this book "One" by Richard Bach? It's about how in the same time exist few yours incarnations. I often think about them, about the 'others', and explore their life. (Small edit on too many revelations ). Of course there exist hundreds of different scenarios arising after any serious decision which been taken.
I think you can get the picture, and "One" is pretty good book. Even with his life example Bach proves that he actually don't follow his own philosophy.

As about the short life of the animals, I'm completely on a Cait's side. Maybe fostering work is made me cruel, and don't understand me wrong, surrounded by death I'm often in depression. But after lose some of the kids, I'm only sorry for the time that was taken from us, never for this that I'm met it. No matter do you'll spend with them week or years, the love grow strong from first touch and pain is not much different. But all the memories are still there to warm your broken heart.

Ughh, sorry if I'm too emotional for the early morning! I'm in some strange languishing mood, again.
