This is going to have to be quick for me. We are off to our Lyme dr's in a bit. Thankfully, our dr is only and hour away. Much easier to deal with than 2 hours like the kids' dr is.The catch for this trip is we have to go to DMV on the way home. Booo! Gary needs to get his licence renewed and we need to transfer the title for Scott's car. He was supposed to do it weeks ago, but I guess this is what happens when your are sick....:(


Me Me Monday- I am bringing a book with me while I spend hours in waiting rooms today. That is about as good as it is going to get LOL

Chris, hope the Dr. and the DMV go well today. i don't envy you either visit. the DMV is likely to make EVERYONE feel sick. and, yeah. we've been getting those nutty storms. they roll in, dump a ton of rain, do the thunder and lightning thing, then roll right out. then it happens again, a few times. looks like things have stabilized a bit. the only prob now is that the temps are going UP again, and the humidity is back to the usual levels around here---about 80% +. so the heat is feeling oppressive. ah, well.

did some computer work this morning, gonna go walk round and round and round on my patio for my brand of "exercise," gonna make a card for my friend who is still going through chemo, and then gonna look around SERIOUSLY for stuff to get OUT of my house and INTO Goodwill!

Chris-I'll be thinking about you and hope the doc appt. and DMV go smoothly. Good idea on taking the book to pass the time.

Phylis-Hope the weather gets better and I'm sure your friend will enjoy the beautiful card you create. The past ones have been amazing.

I'm with ya Phylis on the cleaning. Hubby put up a whole wall of shelving in our storage room yesterday and that is my project this week to sort and toss and give away. Good to have an inside project when the temps are hitting 106 these days!

Happy Monday everyone! Off to work my full day today and then when I get home my DIL and grandkids will be here HOORAY!! :dance: however my son does not arrive until Thursday :sad: Oh well it will be so nice to have all the laughter and activity in the house for a while.

Chris - Ughhh I don't wish your trip today on anyone! Hopefully you will get some encouraging news from the lyme dr. today. Good idea on taking the book to read, nothing is more boring than sitting in a waiting room!!

Phylis - Sounds like you are in for some scorching weather again! When you are done cleaning out your clutter, can you come and clean up here after all the company leaves??

Donna - Another hot one for you today also, good luck with the cleaning and throwing out!

Well gotta hit the shower and get on with this day, another lovely one for us with the temps in the 70's. Spent the day at the lake yesterday and had a nice day! It was windy though a bit of a wind/sun burn for us all, but so nice to just lay on the beach.

HI ladies....

Up and at it this morning...I decided it was time to start cooking the way I did when my kids were little...since I have "littles" again....I worked full time back then...so I really HAD to cook like this....I have been making all my meals for the week this morning.....I got a huge pack of hamburger the other day and never split it up into bags in the freezer...so I decided I needed to just use it all.....MENU THIS WEEK: Spaghetti...Italian Meatballs (made enough for two meals and froze half of them)...Meatloaf (again..two of them and froze one)....so with leftovers...this should cover us til Saturday....also making cookies and macaroni salad.....Needless to say...the house is already hot...so I bumped the A/C down a couple degrees.... Kiddos are playing pretty good this morning....when they get restless, I am going to let them help me decorate the cookies....should be cooled by then...who knows what they will look like....they can be quite "creative" when they decorate :mrgreen:

Thought I'd pop in since it's ME day

Sounds like your weather is terrible, Phylis - the odd time we have Thunder our dog goes crazy - then I go crazy because of the dog :hurt:
I don't have a patio but my "walking' consists of up and down house. think a patio would be much nicer.

Hope your dr visit is positive, Chris .... I'm dreading the next time I have to renew licence - even if I get a letter from the dr. I don't think they'll give me one.
On the other hand, I'm not driving, but just in case eh. Lord, my DH won't even let me in the driver's seat of his new Lincoln!

Nana - I'll be waiting for photos of creative cookie decorating. Almost forgotten how much fun it is to let the wee ones help? :party:

Trudy - enjoy your family, I'm sure work will fly by - I promise I won't send DH to the store :)

Now, if I can just get him to get the darn AirCon man out here - After insisting "I'll handle it" (on last Thurs) he went down to the plumbers, had a chat with the secretary and said "If Bob has the time can he stop by".

No, I didn't scream. I will scream this morning if he doesn't make an appointment :evil2:

Altho it isn't all that hot my body is NOT reacting well to any heat - my washer is getting used tho - I have to change tops and bottoms every hour - no not joking. So I spend most of time in BR with fan pointed in my direction - BR is coolest room in house.
Wednesday I'm seeing the doctor - something is wrong - I won't bore you with the other other symptoms.
But it is "me day" :violin:

Donna, I know it's been mentioned before (a few times) but you do one heck of a job with the Anna Lift challenge - wish I was able to participate more. but even looking at the art produced is a joy.
