Yikes. I had to flip my planner page to August this morning. That didn't make to me too happy. But ATM, it is mostly empty. I have three Drs appts and two PT appts, but that is it. (for now LOL)

I have to admit, I am still in a bit of a funky mood. A lot of it rests on how fast time is flying. Not only for the summer but just in general. I have been wondering-- when did I get so old? :bolt:My 50th birthday didn't bother me so much but could 51 do it? I don't think it's even a number issue. I don't know what it is.

We popped into the art exhibit for a little while to see my neighbor and his work. He is so insanely talented. We could spend too much time because it is held in an old barn at Ringwood Manor-- and no AC. Some of the other artists we also really good, one that we liked had landscapes that almosts seemed warped in a focal point. I can't explain it well, but it was a really interesting effect.
The highlight for me was seeing a painting of my lilies! :) I asked my neighbor if they were the ones by the fence dividing our yard (it is an old wooden slat fence that is decorative only) and he showed me the name of the painting- Campbell's Garden. So yup, my lilies are now famous. hahaha!!

Today, I see the podiatrist for a recheck on the ankle and then I am meeting up with my parents and brother for lunch. Should be a nice day.

Wishing everyone a fab day as well.

Nancy- I cannot imagine the jet lag so I am glad that you are catching up on sleep. What a trip you had!!!!! OMG, it sounds like you had so much fun and to see all of that wildlife must have been amazing. I would have a hard time picking out what I would have liked best. I am really looking forward to seeing your photos. They will be gorgeous!

Felis- I finished the book last night and it was really sad reading about how horrifying the labor camps were. The character that was in them talked about how they were not people anymore, only skeletons. And not only because they were starved but that was the entirety of their humanity, all else was stripped from them. Between watching Chernobyl and then reading this book, I felt the oppressiveness of the Party very strongly. I can not imagine living in that.
But on a happier note, I got to play with the rats yesterday and watched them eat rice and broccoli that Cait had cooked for them-- she had hers for her lunch and they got some as a treat. It was really cute seeing them grab handfuls of rice and shove it into their mouths.
That is nice to have friends over to enjoy the evening with you. Yuck about having to do so much laundry. Magnets must be like postcards "Wish you were here...but I am and you are not" LOL

Jean- it was warm in the sun but the house had stayed pretty cool yesterday. I hope that it is the same for you. How was dinner?
The puzzle was so tiny that it was almost pathetic! hah!! We need to get some new ones... I will look for one for Cait for her birthday in September.
I am with you on your last sentence--"Hope the last of July is kind to us all." Me too!

good morning - the boys are off to work so it is just me and the pets. Luther has been heading to the basement even though the AC is on and it is quite comfortable. But of course I don't have a fur coat. I have begun my pages for the new Alaska trip. It is fun reliving the days. Was able to see the end of the Tour de France as I scrapped. Going to miss the bike ride. Here my DH has been busy with mowing the lawn and he cooked even though we ordered pizza. But now I don't have to cook tonight. Life is good. I have loads of laundry and must go grocery shopping. Neither of which makes me excited but if I get those two chores out of the way then I can go back to scrapping.

Chris times does go fast but as long as you are enjoy being in the moments then life is good. Glad that your calendar for Aug is so empty! I am sure as the kids get ready for school your days will be filled. Those rats sound so fun!

Felis how nice to have friends over. Sorry about the magnets. After seeing your page on the letter I am even more impressed how well you do with English. A new alphabet besides just the new language.

Jean I agree hope we all make it to Aug without melting. We even had a 5 min rain shower last night. Have fun with the new art. Wow what happened to your pitcher yesterday. I guess everyone can have a bad day!

Have a great day all!

Hi there,
I'm back on work and of course new ideas for layouts came at my head now when I don't have any time. It always happens this way :frown: . Put on the idea list!
It was nice rainy day, and I found in my yard nest of firebugs! I love these bugs! Was hoping to attract them with the insect hotel (for which Chris inspired me three years ago, thank you), but no, he is used only from spiders and snails. So I was happy to see so much of firebugs! In my language they are named 'cow of God', I don't know why, but it sounds cute and sacred. I even get few pics, but first have to see with what quality they are after transfer them on the computer, because last few times the camera disappointed me.
Not getting a lot done, and the end of a month is always on rush.
About the saga with the magnets, after they dry actually I was able to help mom to repair two wooden, who after glue was saved. And one I repaired just for us, it looks like is sit on sun from years, but she wants to keep it. So at least these survived. And the missed magnet was coughing from the washing machine. All fine!

Jean, oh a book of New Mexico sounds really good! I hope you do it. You're right my mom was very disappointed about the magnets, especially because she was search for them in really hot day.

Chris, there is two way to dig at the history: Patriotic, when will shows up all shine and progressive examples of this generation or Honestly, when will expose everything that happens. I'm afraid that every success at the human history is built with blood. From pyramids, through knights stories and unfortunately it's continued today. If this book is left you with reflections (which is always good attestation for book), you should watch "Trumbo" before the imprecision to paler. What I admire in Hollywood is that they makes money from every sh***, till here everything is kept in secret and tried to be buried. But I think now you need from some light book!
The rat story is so cute! And your lilies are famous, that's so awesome! Can you imagine, someone will buy and watch them every day. Cool! Oh, the planner's schedule always start lax, but then things just pop up. I hope they will be nice things!
Hope you had nice time with your family and was able to stay away from the news!

Nancy, so far I saw 2 pages from Alaska, bravo, you are so quick! Both are lovely, but this with river really impressed me! I was wondering do you used camera drone, but then read that it is made from plane. Very beautiful!
