Did everyone have a wonderful weekend?
It was one of the best weather weekends all summer in NJ if you ask me. We were able to keep the AC off until late afternoon again. Unfortunately, by the time Gary wanted to go for a hike, it was too hot for him so we are going to try again this morning. I hope he's good to go, he and the dogs haven't been out in a long time. Instead of hiking, I spent most of the afternoon outside. I had a bucket of marigolds that I wanted to put in the ground. Before I could do that, the section of the yard needed weeding. The ground cover was getting way overgrown and needed thinning out as well. I didn't see too many critters other than a few tiny toads but man, they are cute. And the bees! So many bees, all different kinds of bees. You stand near the garden and all you hear is bzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzz
Tom loved his b-day dinner and gifts. One of the gifts Caitlyn got him was a Horror Movie Themed/Plant-Based Cookbook. It was really cool and couldn't be more perfect for him. We got him a pumpkin-shaped cast iron soup pot/Dutch Oven. Now they just need a kitchen *fingers crossed*
I have to tidy the kitchen and clean out the fridge so I can finish up my grocery list. I have a LO to work on. And I have the "Coloring Crew" group at the library on my calendar. Still haven't decided if I am going to go. My weird thought process is that if it is nice this afternoon, I should be outside. I should wait for a rainy day. OTOH, it might be more crowded on a rainy day which will make my social anxiety higher. Go today: less people, less anxiety. And that my friends, is how my social anxiety works. Because a free library program run in the middle of the afternoon is going to be filled will all of the Mean Girls TM that I knew from HS.
Hope that you all have a fantastic and anxiety-free day!
xoxo
