Is it safe to come out yet? What a day yesterday. I never made it outside but maybe I can today. I need it.

I am not even 100% what happened yesterday, as opposed to other prior days. The main "highlight" (as in something that stands out) was that Gary called his mom (who is wearing a boot for a stress fracture on her foot) and found out that his dad was in the ER for chest pain and dizziness. That had been going on for three days and he finally decide to get it checked out. He didn't have a heart attack (whew!) but they kept him to do more testing today. Funny coincidence that he is at the same hospital as my mom, wouldn't it be ironic if the first time they see each other since quarantine started was in the hospital?

Scott is not feeling good, short of breath and a sore throat. He is staying away from us fo now, just in case. Although I have no idea where he could have caught anything, he is so cautious.
Cait suggested that we watch Harriet after dinner. She had seen it as part of her Black Studies class last fall. She was such a badass. I had no idea how much work she had done and did not lose one slave as conductor.

I did started to scrap a page for the upcoming mini o's and will finish that today along with finalizing the food order.
Also, can I have some good thoughts for my friend's DD? This morning, she left for FL after getting a job at Sea World and then hopefully back at Disney World. This is the girl I have known since she moved in when she was 18 months old and was Cait's BFF until Middle school. She really is like a DD in my heart - she called me Mama Chris. I am so worried. So worried. :(

Anyway, my mom is hoping to come home soon, her kidneys are working close to her baseline function. Hopefully, FIL will be released today too.

other than that-- wishing everyone a very happy and peaceful (stress-free??? Bwuahahah!!! Not.A.Chance!) day!

Kay- I hoep things are settling down a bit for you and you family-- good thoughts coming your way~~~~

Nancy- So much fun to have your DS and MG and kids over! Oh yes, I feel the same after being with Christopher and here I was a PreK teacher hehe. I am giggling at Luther, that is his bean bag chair, don't blame him for barking ;) How is he doing with the heat? Gary never even turned the AC off last night. The heat really does him in, it messes up his blood sugar and the combo of his chronic pneumonia and the humidity makes it so hard to breathe.
I bet you have lots of photos to scrap from the weekend. Can't wait see them all!

Jean- I am so thankful that your car AC is working and that you can drive a bit to cool off. T-storms are exciting to watch. I am proud of Cait-- when I suggested that Gary pre-screen the videos she said no, since she knows it is a part of life and can't live "hiding" from it.
That is neat that the movie about a photographer inspired your scrap page.
Enjoy your classes this week!!

good morning - it is hot. It was hot yesterday and it never cooled off so it is getting a jump start. This should be the hottest day but who knows. I know I am not walking until after dinner because even it is still hot at least the sun is not blazing down on you. Luther went out early but was ready to come home and now is in front of the AC. Got a lot of scrapping done so that was good. And baseball is back. The Yankees and Mets in preseason games. The season of just 60 games starts Thursday. And hockey is not long after that. And probably football will be figuring out how to play. Not sure I want sports back if it means the players get sick.

Chris that is so shocking about Gary's parents. I am glad it was not a heart attack. People have to go to the ER in emergencies that is the scary part of this pandemic that they don't go. It would be funny for the two to meet in the hospital. I think it is so interesting that you have this wildlife camera. Sorry about the fox and raccoon I did not think a fox was big enough to take one.

Jean have fun with classes. Hope you drop in just to say hi and how much fun you are having! And yes I think Canada made the correct decision on not having teams from the US going in and out of Toronto. And I liked that the Jays were cool with it.

Morning ladies... it is going to be a very warm day here today! Yesterday was lovely too and we got a last minute invite in the morning to come to my brother's place on the river and spend the day with them! It was so nice to go for a swim and to visit with them! We ordered some Chinese food take out and when we were finished we went back down to the wharf and just enjoyed the view of the river and the quiet. It was quite busy all day long with lots of tubers going down the river, they were not social distancing and the young people just don't seem to get it or think that they are immune to the virus :mmph: The four of us talked about how we wish we could be with our kids and what a strange summer not to have any of them home this year  Oh well at least we have family to keep us company once in a while. So instead of my usual house cleaning and :washing: on Sunday, I will be doing all that today! Already had a face time with Heather and the boys and they all had such a wonderful time at the beach! They were on a private little beach with only one set of neighbours sharing the beach with them, so nice!! The boys had so much fun in the water and digging in the sand. It was very hot, but the only time it was a bother was trying to sleep at night in the hot little cabin with not much in the way of AC. I think that they are all exhausted and happy to be a bit cooler today. They will leave again on Saturday to meet up with Jason and head to Ottawa for two weeks. I am so happy that they will all be together  Thank you all for the lovely compliments on my painting project! You are all so kind!

Chris - Yikes! what a scare for Gary's parents!! I hope that they can figure out what the trouble is for his Dad! Oh dear I sure hope that Scott is not infected with the virus, but like you said he is so careful and hopefully it is just a bit of a cold or something!!! Good luck with your food ordering and scrapping, not sure if I will get a page started today or not. We will see how the day goes I guess. Hope your Mom gets to be home very soon and that she has her meds all figured out! I did manage to get my raspberries, but no strawberries. Seems they are having trouble getting pickers!! I might have to go to a U pick place for some. :mmph:

Nancy - I am really having my doubts about all these sports starting up again! I hope that it does work out, but really don't see how they all won't be protected from the virus! Hope Luther is not suffering too much from the heat! Good idea to not go out until later in the evening when things have cooled for a bit! Loved your page with the dinner with your new family, so fun!! How wonderful for you all!

Jean - Glad that it got a bit cooler for you after the storm! I hope you have a wonderful time with your sessions! It sounds like they will keep you very busy for the next few days! Yup I think that DH and I will be very busy after this week is done LOL. I might be very glad to see him go back to work after two weeks :der:

Ok I better get started with the vacuuming before it gets too warm in the house! Have a great Monday everyone!

Hi ladies. Hope everyone is doing well. I popped in today to take advantage of Anna's sale going on. I've been busy with family stuff, Jen has moved in her permanently and now we're just rearranging and purging stuff.

All is well with us and we see Bailey when we can (because of her treatments, she is isolated from us for wks at a time b/c of the heightened suppressed immunity). I think she's done those treatment now for 6 months so we can start seeing her most wkends again. We're sticking close to home, not socialized yet with anyone but soon will expand our bubble a little and see how it goes. We've been binge watching tons of shows and I've been scrapping a fair amount again.

Hopefully, I'll get a chance to start popping in again more and hanging out. Talk soon, take care everyone.
