I am going to channel a bit of Sally/cellomom right now. It is Monday and the beginning of new month. Summer is officially underway. This means I am going to get out of my funk and work hard at enjoying myself. That doesn't mean that I am going to stop being angry at circumstances if I need to be. But I am going to focus on enjoying good things and practicing some self-care. Does anyone want to join me?
I was outside for an hour or so, weeding the side of the house that I don't see but my poor neighbors do. It was really humid but it didn't bother me. Gary, on the other hand- not so much. Poor guy. Scott had to work 12- 6 but was able to get in early this morning so he can get a lot of his work done before it gets to the hottest point.
I spent a bit of time (ok-- a LOT of time) working on a LO for Trudy's journaling challenge. I think that my hardest part is actually finding things that I am looking for in my stash. But it is started and I have a good idea of what I am going to write.
My neighbor called and asked if I wanted to come over and see the cutest thing ever. Their DD had a baby 2 weeks ago and she was visiting. OMG-- such a tiny little peanut!!! So darn cute!! She has 2 older boys, 10 and 14 IIRC so it was funny listening to her recounting how a girl is very different than boys when it comes to diaper changes LOL. I wanted to scoop her up but she was sleeping in her car seat and I know well enough to never wake a sleeping baby.
So all in all a good day.
Did any of you see the picture of MIL and me on FB from the protest? She tagged me in it but the only people that "liked it" were her friends. I was wondering if only her friends could see it. :noidea:
Today I am bringing Ravyn and Floyd to the vet. Keep your fingers crossed that Floyd's kidneys aren't getting worse since aren't able to give him fluids. We are hoping that maybe he is stabilizing and if we can get one infusion done a week, that will be ok with him and for us. Ray just needs a senior exam and some vax boosters. Poor thing will be traumatized the rest of the day.
Hugs!!!!
