The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
hello my dear O-Fam.
Another hot and humid day in NJ. Thankfully we had some rain come through last night so my flowers are happier.

Had a nice, busy weekend. BBQ was fun- I have such great neighbors.

Now I am off to see if the kids are coming food shopping with me or would rather sleep. Cait is back on her "I want to be a vegetarian but I don't like beans or tofu" kick. Gary is ok with it but I still think she should wait.

They both have friends coming over this afternoon so I have to figure out what to cook for dinner. I am so tired of that. Dinner, not the friends.

Also not sure if I cam going to the lake or not. If I do it will be by myself and a book.

me Me Monday-- i already need a nap and it is only 7:30!!

:sheep1 <` in honor of Sally who loves her Mondays

Good morning ladies! Still extremely hot in Iowa. It is wearing on me! Had a fun time at our barbecue. Work is crazy right now...transitioning off of old teams and transitioning onto new. Writing mid-year reviews. Oh well...I am sure that I will live through it.

Kids' lunches are packed. Only 14 more days of packing lunches! (I pack them three days and then the daycare provides two days.) I am soooo glad to be almost done with the lunch packing! Hot lunches, here we come!

Tonight is our night off...yippee...might actually get a page finished!

Chris, I'm glad that you enjoyed your barbecue. I have to admit, if I were the kids, I would skip the grocery shopping and sleep in.

Morning ladies... It looks like :rain: for us today, but that's ok we could use the moisture. Already the forest fire rating is at High and we really have only had 2 weeks of summer weather here. Sure doesn't take very long for everything to dry up around here!
DD arrived safely after her original flight being cancelled :mmph: MG and myself went to Nanaimo to do some shopping on Saturday and I found a new bathing suit, one that I actually felt comfortable in and looked half decent on me. MG needed to get his watch fixed and then we hit Costco...ouch on the wallet!! Went home for a few hours and then made the trip to Victoria to pick up DD! Lots of travel time! So nice to have her back home with us! Lots of chatting and catching up to do, but it will now have to wait until I get home from work.

Chris - A day at the Lake with a good book sounds like the perfect day to me!! I already need a nap too!! My day started at 5am and its going to be a long one!!

LindaS - Girl... I tell ya you wear me out!! Your life is one crazy roller coaster of a ride!! I wish I had half of your energy, I don't know how you manage all that you do! You are a wonder!! I hope that sometime today you get a chance to breathe and relax!

Well off to the shower and a full day at work, tomorrow is my day off and DD and I have to decide what we will do with it. Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

howdy. it's only 8:40 a.m. and i feel like i've been up for about 8 hours already. (4:45 this morning. crikey.) i'm actually showered and dressed and ready to hit the (hopefully-deserted) grocery store, now that all the Men with Shopping Carts are all back to work. i SOOOO get you, Chris, about being tired of dinner. i hate thinking of food. (tell your lovely daughter that if she's going to be a veggie, she'll have to make her own menu and cook it herself. you already have ENOUGH to do!!) how about fancy burgers and fries for the friends? make a plate of toppers (bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, fried onions and mushrooms, etc.) and put it all out buffet-style. i have to think about dinner, too. think i have to buy some $$$$lamb$$$$, so that i can make some middle-eastern green bean mess. i still have beans coming out of my ears from the garden, and to me, any middle-eastern dish requires the taste of lovely lamb to go with it. and spinach pies. hmmm. looks like i'll be using the oven in the basement again, though. 89 degrees here today. 93 tomorrow. STOP!!

Linda, i was SO glad when the kids decided they wanted to eat what the cafeteria was making. packing lunches was just another way for me to have to get involved with thinking about food and trying to use ESP to decide what people WANT to eat. i swear, the first thing out of my mouth after i said " I Do" to my husband was "i will NOT make your breakfast every day OR pack your lunch."

Chris, you are so lucky to have nice neighbors. SOOOO lucky.

well, so far this a.m. i made a page to be posted later. now i'm off to the grocery store and maybe JoAnn's and Bed Bath and Beyond, coupons in hand.

pick a day this week to NOT make dinner, and the family can like it or lump it. i say stimulate this pathetic economy and buy some PIZZA!

Congrats! I think you should be extremely proud! And glad that they got the meds regulated!

LOL Phylis, I really laughed out loud at your ESP comment on the figuring out what people want to eat! My two have learned (kind of...) that I am not going to spend a lot of time guessing what they might like this week that they didn't ever want again last week. Still...ugh...

Trudy, I can't wait to hear what you and DD decide to do tomorrow! And I hear you about Costco and $$$$ Costco and Target both just start emptying my wallet the minute I walk through the door!
