Happy Monday!!! When my alarm went off this morning, I swore that we already did Monday yesterday. But here we are, the "real" Monday.

The last couple of nights I have slept pretty decently so I am not exhausted right now. Hopefully it will last all week. I am working 4 days (no cancellations PLEASE!!!), so I have to keep the energy up. The weather is supposed to be decent too- sunny and in the upper 30's, low 40's. Its still way too cold for me, but it could be so much worse. (See: Generator working = No Snow LOL)

What good stuff do all of you have happening today?

Hope it is a great one!!

MOrning O fam!!!! It is a "normal"week this week. I surely hope that I can choose to reign in my eating this week. I am about to head to the scales and put that number in large bright ink on my calendar as a reminder of my goal. I just finished my exercise for the day and I am getting ready for the work week. I have no idea what is in store at work today. I always plan on it being a late day, and if it is not, then it is a gift! I did get some scrapping done and that felt real good. I did not get any more basement work done, but there is always today, right? Enjoy!!

From yesterday:

Nana- please get better!! Ugh about the kids making you crazy. But this:
but you can bet your sweet @#S I won't do a thing tomorrow after those kids go to school!!
, well I am not taking that bet. I would bet that you finish up what you didn't get done yesterday or some other project b/c you never rest!!! LOL
(((hugs)))

Phyllis-mmmm I love Fr Onion Soup! Its onthe menu for one night this week for us too.
The generator- well, I am probably not the one to ask for the details cuz I have no clue. But Its a plug in one. To get a full house one- my brother says for his house (way bigger than mine, way way bigger-- would be about $12,000!) . So even figuring a part of that is totally out of the question.
Its gas-run and hooks up to the house from outside. My house is 100% electric- well pump, heat, stove and so on, so if we lose power, we literally lose everything. This one will let us flush toilets, run cold water, use the range, but not the oven. Plus lights of course and I think 1 zone for heat. It will still be roughing it, so to speak but waaay better than not being able to flush toilets! And the fridge- I think we'll be able to run the fridge- that was a concern because we can't lose Gary's IV bags once they are made up, they need to stay cold and be used in 72 hours. And the running water -- that will make keeping his areas sterile a lot easier too!

Hopefully we won't need to use it but its there if we do.

I have to say I really miss our wood-stove. We had one in the house before we did the addition but now the stairs are there and there was no other place to put it. And those little electric "fireplaces" are so cute but kind of defeat the purpose if you have no electricty. :D

Anyway, that's about it!
Hope everyone enjoys their day!

Back to a five day work week...sounds overwhelming to me at the moment...but I suspect that it isn't. Just realized I forgot to look in backpacks...hope there aren't any surprises there!

Chris, glad that you woke up refreshed. Strangely enough, I did too. Really pleased by that little bit of goodness to start Monday morning. And Syd's basketball practice was canceled for tonight, so only Shaun's practice. And only one more Monday night of both of them having practice. I think that I'm going to make it after all! :)

Hope everyone wakes up rested today and that this week is all around goodness for all of my O-friends!

Good morning Laurie. I am going to try to steal some of your diligence on the eating and exercising front for the next 4 1/2 weeks. I want to feel like taking long walks on the boardwalk every single day that we are in Maui. So I really need to do some prep.

Chris, the generator sounds awesome. In general, we don't lose power for long in the Midwest. With our last blizzard, Dad and Randy (brother) both lost power for about 12 hours but that's rare.

good am - had a great time yesterday at the NYC Boat Show. If I had a spare 300K+ we could have bought one LOL. It amazes me how much can be designed into the small under deck space to create a really livable space. It was a beautiful day for walking around NYC - we were there early and there were so few people on the streets. The Jacob Javits center is gorgeous! Now I am going be spending the next few days archiving my photos from 2011. It is so hard for me to delete photos but I have to to have more space for photos this year.

Chris glad you are getting your rest! Glad your generator is ready to go. No cancelations for you!

Laurie you go girl - boot camp wow!

Have a great day all

I can't believe it is Monday already! The weekends go by just way too fast!

Yesterday was sunny and beautiful! A little chilly but not so bad it kept us off the golf course. Had a great time golfing with hubby!

I did a little organizing and tagging of digi supplies last night. Still have a ways to go though.

Nothing on tap for this week other than work. I have to travel out of town the end of the week. Yuck!

Morning All!
Chilly morning here in MO.

Finished some painting projects over the weekend and had the house to myself while my hubby and son and a couple of other guys made a road trip north to Green Bay to the Packer vs Vikings game. It was cold and it was fun and they had a great time and now they are very tired, but back to work this AM! That was a long road trip, but a fun time for them! They captured some cool shots for me to play with.

Back to exercise today on a regular schedule. Laurie, I have done boot camp.................good luck, lady!

Stay warm and have a great Monday all!

well, i fell asleep in the recliner at 6:30 p.m. yesterday. on purpose. i decided to sleep when i was tired. and i decided to see whether sleeping in the recliner would be better than sleeping in the recliner, getting up after 4-5 hours, then going to the bed, where i can't turn over at all because of The Pain. So i'm basically AWAKE after i go to the bed. what fun. well, the second half of the night in the recliner wasn't much better than the second half in the bed. snort...maybe i'll fall asleep at 3:30 p.m. today. if i keep this up, i'll be sleeping during the day and awake during the night.

i made a page this morning!! January Challenge No.1 lured me in, so i tried it. i have to let it ferment for a while, though, then look at it later today to see whether i still like it.

Nancy, only $300,000?? hardly anything at all. :jaw: whoa. who BUYS these things?? i guess the boat workers should be glad that there are actually people to buy what they make.

Linda, i can't even get my brain around checking backpacks. it seems like a CENTURY ago that i was doing that. (hahaaa!! it practically WAS a century ago!!)

Chris, i only know one person who has a whole house generator. this girl i used to teach with married this awful, mean guy who eventually died of a heart attack in his late 40s. he owned a small company which his wife sold for millions of dollars after he kicked the bucket. she now lives in a mansion with a whole house generator. karma at work.

my brand new kitchen garden window is leaking AGAIN. so, for the 4th time Andersen Windows is sending out another guy to see what's wrong NOW. i want to get a chain saw and hack the thing off my house, frankly. other than dealing with the window guy and some grocery shopping, that's about it for me today. woot.

it's Monday. find The Funny in your day!

YOU WOULD LOSE!!! You know I could not get it all done....so we shoved everything in our bedroom and shut the door, to those things that I couldn't get to.....after our company left, I cleaned up the dishes, swept the kitchen floor and picked up the kids rooms....gave them a bath and put them to bed....TODAY....got the kids off to school....it's 10:20....guess who just woke back up?? :becky:

I really do feel that bad.....Antibiotics are working...just don't feel good yet....I will "THINK" about getting around to the undone stuff tomorrow....or the next day....
