Happy Monday!!! How are all of the O-zies? I hope that everyone is all rested up and ready to face the day. I didn't sleep well last night. Jaida is such a brick. She has no sense of personal space, noir will she budge when I try to push her off of my legs. Now she is hogging the blankets too. At least with Catzilla, the 16 lb. cat, I can get her to move if I stretch out strongly enough. Nothing moves Jaida, good thing she is cute. :redface:
yesterday was her birthday, she is 2. That went fast! I miss her little puppy belly but I adore everything about her.

I didn't get much done yesterday, lots of puttering around, got ready to go food shopping today, and started to scrap a LO for a Feb Challenge.

Today is more of the same except that I actually have to go food shopping. Drat.

Nancy- very cool that your tennis player won the Open. It must have been bittersweet to see your DS speak at the service. I am sure that it meant a lot to the family.
I know nothing about the backstory of La La Land, I am guessingg that the dance routines are based off of old movies? That would be cool to see side by side.

Trudy - what???? No coffee?? That is sacrilege! How was the visit with the ILs? Are they feeling any betetr, esp FIL?

I am asking for good thoughts for my BFF's father. He fell last week and cut up his face very badly, fractured his elbow and broke his kneecap. They can't do the surgry needed on his knee b/c he also suffered a heart attack. He is going to be 92 this spring. TIA!

Rae- what Stephanie Plum are they up to now? I get such a kick out of her esp. some of the Jersey Girl attitude.

nancy -- you will understand this comepleyely- the first scene in LL Land has stop dead traffic on the whatsitcalled- Expressway? Freeway? whatever... and people start getting out of their cars singing and dancing. I whispered to Arlene how this was obviously *not* NJ traffic ound:

good morning - whew what a morning! My son calls at 7 am to tell me we are taking his dogs for training. Would have liked a bit more of a warning than that. I had been buggy him for weeks to get a hold of Lorrie but would he do it no! He made me so mad. But we made it and they are starting their training so that is good. Should be very interesting to see how this goes. When I got up my DH tells me he did not sleep all night as his tooth was killing him. He really looks in pain too! Well I was back from dropping of the dogs before he was back from dentist so I know it was not good! He came back in a lot of pain. A filling fell out and then there was decay below so they had to drill it out and he has to go back in a week to finish up. Poor guy. Me I have a head cold and it is not fun as we all know. So this afternoon I have to go back and pick up the dogs and drop them at my son's house. I will be doing this for the next two weeks. It is a good thing that I am a good mother! My Metropolitan division won the All Star final game and a million dollars. My Devils Taylor Hall did a great job. We took Luther to the dog park yesterday morning. OMgosh he loves other dogs. He ran and ran and he tongue was dragging. Pretty funny! There was a jack terrier and that dog loved to run and was fast and Luther loved chasing him. You have to make sure you are out of the way!

Chris glad you had such a nice day! Shadow is pretty funny she likes to lie close and then I move and she leaves but of course she is right back. My DH went to the store and then made dinner again. Hope you get to scrap! Chris definitely sending positive thoughts for you BFFs father.

Trudy I am so surprised as I bet you were to find you had no coffee. Hope the visit went well.

Rae love how much you cook! I wish I loved to cook. I love the Stephanie Plum books. She is a crack up! She is so south Jersey!

Morning ladies!! It is a clear and frosty morning and the lake is covered in a blanket of fog. It looks so pretty. I did not sleep well last night either, must be something in the air with all of us not having a good sleep. I do not have a pet that hogs the bed or sleeps on top of me anymore :sad: but I do have one husband that can snore with the best of them :becky: I have my best sleep when he leaves the bed to get going in the morning.

Chris - I know, I know... who ever runs out of coffee?? LOL I did manage to make it to the store and back with some nice coffee beans before the In-Law's arrived though Whew!! FIL is still not that great with the pain from his shingles and looks kind of pasty white because of it! I am very worried that it is taking its toll on him! I hope that your day is nice and relaxing! Oh your poor BFF's father!! How horrible for that to happen to a man of his age! Of course I am sending out all my good thoughts out to him and your BFF!!

Nancy - Your Luther is such a hoot!! It is so nice that he brings such joy into your life! Yes it would have been nice of your son to give you a bit more notice about his dogs!! You are an amazing Mom for doing this for him for 2 weeks!! I hope that the dogs show a lot of good improvement because of it at least! Ouch your poor hubby!! Toothaches are the worst! I am back to the dentist tomorrow for a filling replacement and I am not looking forward to it at all!!

Rae - It looked like you were very busy with your CT work yesterday! Nice that you had the time to do all of those layouts! I am working on one for the miniO challenge and I am of course struggling with it, I wish it didn't take me so long to do one silly page!! LOL. I am going to have to check out these books that you are reading, I could use a good laugh and a fun book to read as I await for Diana Gabaldon to come out with her new Outlander I sure wish she would hurry up!! LOL. Hope you and Taz can get out and enjoy this sunshine today!

I really need to have one more cup of java, (breaking my one cup rule today) and then I need to get more serious with my Weight Watchers this week!! I had a bad eating weekend and I think I probably put back on the few pounds that I have lost over the last couple of weeks. It is slow going, but I know that I can do it!! Only 28 more pounds to go LOL, it seems like an impossible task!! Have a great day everyone!! :wave:

Hello everyone. It is a beautiful day in South Louisiana. Sunshine and cool, but still not too cool. It is cooler inside than outside!!! I took the dogs for a short walk. One dog has heartworms and starts treatment in 2 month, so we are only doing short walks for her. My other dog would love to walk longer, but he just likes to be with his sister, so he is cool about it. You can't seperate those too, they whine. It is really cute.

DH is gone for 4 days out of town...I might accomplish some scrapping! I will be doing a challenge for Courtney, so please join me in Feb.

Wed I am going out of town to see my dad who is in a nursing home. It is a 6 hour round trip, so dd is going with me...isn't that nice? I am surprised, but happy!

Good afternoon, ladies. Darrell is home today as he's using up some of his holiday time left over from last year, and is taking Monday's off for the next few months. We had some quiet time this morning, me reading my ereader (#23 Stephanie Plum book) and him reading the paper and then doing the crossword puzzle. I knew I didn't have to rush to get onto the computer b/c my main client isn't back until Wed and the other doesn't usually send me much in the morning. Got some laundry done, worked on computer organizing and am going to do some desk work this afternoon before taking Taz to the vet (his usual problem).

Chris - so sorry to hear of your friend's dad, that's terrible. As we get older we injure more easily and it takes longer to recover so I'm sure this is very difficult for him. Hope he feels better soon.

Trudy - I've been bad about tracking my WW points but what it is doing for me is making me more conscious of what I'm eating so that's good. I'm only down a few lbs these last few weeks but I'm expecting it to happen very slowly so I'm not surprised. I'll be happy if I can lose 15 and will be even more so if I can manage 20. But I'm trying not to focus on a number, more so on eating healthy. At my age, I don't expect miracles.

Nancy - you are a good mom! Hope the dog training goes well. Your poor hubs, dental pain is awful.

Sharon - 4 days of extra scrapping time...yay! Sounds like a good idea
