So. This is the day/week I am going to get my life back on track. I gave myself last week to do nothing but recover mentally and physically from the previous month's dilemmas. Hmm. Am I ready to do this? (Will I ever be??
) I suppose that there is only one way to find out. *sigh*
I didn't do much of anything yesterday. My dad is a trip. He looked good, which made me feel better. tired, but heck, he is 79 yo. I am 49 and I look way worse than him. hahaha!!! I mentioned that I knew that he was running off to fires every day and that my mom was worried about him. He said that he has two options- sit home, do nothing, fall asleep because he is bored. Or he could keep busy and if that includes going to fire calls then that is what he will do. Honestly, I agree with him 100%. Scott said it best that is it much healthier to be active and mentally alert than not.
Scott told me a bit about his friend's dad who also has cancer. They went out to dinner on Saturday. He has some rare type of stomach cancer. It is Stage 4 but the Drs think that he will have it always but will be able to keep in under control. I have no idea what that means but it is a much better option than it being terminal. Again--Cancer sucks
I also worked a bit more on the cowl that I am crocheting. I am about halfway done and I need to start a new skein of yarn. That always makes me nervous. How silly is that?
Off to the grocery store up the mountain this morning. I simply cannot deal with the chaos of the supermarket in town. I am also happy that their half and half is $1.50 a half gallon cheaper than my supermarket. We got through about 3 half gallons a week (sometimes 4!) so that in itself makes the trip worth it. (Yes, we all drink way too much coffee and I am the only one who will drink it dark.)
it is the little things that keep me going.
Trudy- Gary and I watched the first episode of Godless last night. It seems like it will be good, sort of slow right now as we get to know the characters, but interesting. Thanks for the rec!

. If that was the whole winter it's not enough!!! I'd love to take some of this snow that Trudy, was offer me! But looks like everybody in my house likes the early Spring. My sister take Tiny on a long dog walk. And even Biggie, who adore snow is happy to sleep outside. They all are so irresponsible, winter is needed on the wild nature! Which reminds me that I bought awesome winter mini kit by SoMa and now I'm inspired for two new LOs, which will be for the next month. I can't believe that at Saturday is a new month already!? I have so much to finish these three days.
, poor little her kids! Great that you had good time with your dad and everything's all right. Gosh! You described relationship on yours or on mine parents, so familiar! Probably is unnecessary to told that I'm more than happy that your neighbor's cat is back , but I am!
