The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I cannot believe that it is Monday again. The weekend flew by and even though it's not like I am working on a "normal" schedule anyway, I miss the mental difference. Does that make sense?

The moss and lichen walk was amazing. Great vibes being around people who love nature. There were two kids in the group who were having a blast running around checking out the different mosses. The family is planning on returning for the maple sugaring programs, so I suggested that the kids sketch the moss when they put it under their microscopes at home and bring it back the next time to show us. I hope they do that, it would be awesome.

Other than that, I didn't do much of anything else. I placed my grocery order and that was about it. I need to start counting down the days until Spring. maybe that will keep me more engaged with planning ahead. Planning "what," you ask?
Not a clue :rotfl:
I started a To-Do list for the month and I have two things on it: Clean out the laundry room and make a dentist appt. Neither one brings me joy haha!
What projects do you think I should do? There has to be something more fulfilling than cleaning out the laundry room (although it needs to get done pfft!) :D

Have a fantastic Monday, my lOves!

@vickyday Oh no, your poor DS with his "burr" haircut. My DH had a bowl cut for much of his childhood and was not the best look. He has had long hair since he was a teenager - with a few years of short hair when he worked in NYC.
TY for the compliments on Cait and Tom's page, I think I can upload that now.
Hope that the roads and parking lot were easy to navigate for church.

@AK_Tracy Oh my goodness, I cannot believe the weather you are getting. It is so backward that your temps are warmer than here. Yesterday was "warm" and it was 31*. Did you end up leaving the house or was the rain/ice/mess too bad?

@mimes1 Did I tell you yet how much I love your new avi? You are like a ray of sunshine!
I'm glad that Mark suggested that you stay home and rest. How is Belle feeling?
f you cant find the funny, it would be depressing :floorlaugh: Took the dogs out after their breakfast. Skated across the porch, looked at the steps, skated back inside and said park your butts, where staying home. Then just as hubs turned off the shower, total blackness. Power went down. Thankfully just for 60 seconds and was back on. Scramble to find flashlights, fill water bottles. Turn the heat up a degree. Now we wait. Suns still not up. Using cell hot spot for internet as its now down. Oh its fun! I would gladly. take three feet of snow over this. I know how to do snow.
UGH!!!! How did the rest of the day turn out?
Will the lack of snow impact the Spring thaw/runoff/etc? I hope that Mother Nature chills out. Literally!

so do I made another pot or switch over and have some hot apple cider instead???
Oh dear, I misread this as "Hard Apple Cider" and thought -- Kay is having a rough day if that's the choice before noon. :giggle4:
How was the rest of the day, did you make it a PJ day?

Vicky- hope that your cough is better!

Tracy- Yucky and messy and 100% not normal. ( I am talking about the snow pictures, *not* you! ;) )

The weekend was mostly unproductive, even though we did lots of things.
That is how I feel a lot of the time.
Dancer feet are temperamental!!
I've learned the same thing about hikers and hiking boots :D I have three different pairs of the same brand because they are the only ones that my feet and ankles feel good/stable in. I hope that the store has the two different ones for DD to compare.
Going for a picnic sounds *lovely* and always nicer than staying inside to do housework. ITA-- that laundry emoji is way too happy! The mopping one is much more accurate.

HAGD!

Oh man! My laundry area needs cleaned out, too! It has a tendency to collect things somehow! ;). Dental appointments I'm already scheduled for.

HAGD!
Parking lot at church was dry as a bone! Some of the back roads we travel to church were iffy in spots where the shade is always present, but most of the roads were good!
My coughing yesterday has my throat sore today! But, since I didn't sleep very well Saturday night, I slept through the night last night with only one episode of a brief coughing fit!

Good Morning!
Still cold! HA!
Groceries are ordered, so when I go out to pick those up I'll make the church bank deposit. Since I was placing an order, I knew Ilene needed a few items, so I got those for her and will pass them on to her tomorrow when I pick her up for the widows' meeting.....assuming there will be a meeting. The church we go to canceled their services yesterday due to the weather. So I will have to contact the pastor's wife today to make sure the meeting is still a go.

Other than that, I want to possibly do a couple of challenge layouts today, if they inspire me.....I'm having problems with mojo lately! The only inspiration I have had lately has been the birds at my feeders. They have hit it so hard this past week that I had to place another order from Wild Birds Unlimited. Hopefully I will get that order in a couple of days! I get the no-mess bags, which means there are no shells. But, honestly, it still makes a mess, LOL! The birds pick their favorite seeds and pitch the ones in their way to the ground! They are so fun to watch! I poured the last of the seed I had in the feeder yesterday and purposely threw a bit on the ground on top of the snow out by the steps so I could get better pictures .... but, of course, the birds never came when I was standing at the window waiting for them! I got a picture of a dark eyed junco and a house wren, but the other birds would not take the bait, LOL!

Have a great day!

Good morning all!

I have a busy week. Today dentist to fix a cracked molar, then grocery shopping on my way home. Monday's my realtor husband goes into the office - cue- run the vacuum without disturbing him! Tomorrow I get my hair cut. Wednesday we have ballroom dance lessons and it has been over a month, so review time! Thursday is my full day of work as a pediatric physical therapist, otherwise known as socialization with my previous co-workers. Friday I get to see my doctor to see if she is satisfied with my blood pressure. I have to call today to see if I have any blood work due. Somewhere in there I am sure we will be back to help this gentleman who is having his house put on the market as a result of a divorce two years ago. So far hubby and I have been there 3 days for 3 hours each- all we can tolerate. I will tell you that depression and two years of dust and cat hairs is too much. We are not going for pristine. We have been finding cat beds everywhere- under beds mostly. So far we have found 11 beds for two cats. Her lawyer said she gets the blankets- hubby has filled 1-2 trash bags and I loaded up dresser drawers. This is why I stay married and why I am working on decluttering. Also why I am rethinking getting a cat after my husband dies. That is an ongoing joke with our financial guy.

Alright- off to the dentist.

Morning... I actually slept better last night...woke up only once! Things are improving on sleep, thank goodness. Waiting for the house to warm up before taking my shower. Snow is predicted today so plan on staying in. Will get a couple of loads of laundry done (sheets and towels) I hope. Need to plan on what to make for my brown bag lunch with the girls tomorrow (if the weather is not bad). I'm thinking that a fruit/veggie salad sounds good... mandarin oranges, apples, nuts, red onions, celery & lettuce with a Raspberry Vinaigrette with some Ritz crackers. Now my mouth is watering!!! I may make up a big bowl for today and tomorrow!! :D

I ended up scrapping over the weekend. Worked on a few LOs for my designer. Also worked on prepping a few photos. I extracted a few of my latest selfies - so they are ready to use with different backgrounds. ;) And spent some time with the clone stamp on another photo..... it had another person in it that I removed, plus had objects behind both DH and me that were distracting. I never used the photo before due to those distractions.... so it was well worth the time spend on it. Oh, yes... I saved it in my photos.

Before 0021.jpg and finished 0021-edited.jpg
I am working with PSE19 so don't have the additions that remove unwanted objects.... but have learned over time that the clone stamp can do wonders if you are patient and take time.

Be back later.

Good morning ladies. I have a day at home (except for walks with Remi) which I will enjoy. I will be brining chicken drumsticks and will cook them in the airfryer for dinner for D. I'm not a fan of drumsticks, so I'm going to have thai chili rice in a coconut sauce with shrimp. I will open, sort and store some beads. I've been too busy lately to organize them as they are delivered so I have two bins full of gems to put away. I also need to buy some more storage so will be looking on marketplace for hopefully something suitable at a reasonable price. I want to scrap, create jewelry, do some laundry and housework and maybe read a bit. That should fill up my day completely :) Tonight we'll binge a few more episodes of Dune Prophecy which we are really enjoying.

I'm going to do some meal planning later too. I keep a binder in the kitchen cupboard with recipes and meal ideas and its time to switch them up with a few other ideas. I want to try a meatloaf with ground beef/chicken and then add in eggs and TVP for additional protein and moisture. I will add in a bit of oats but much less than I used to so the carb count will be lower.

I need to shower and get out with Remi before lunch.

@BrightEyes Great job Kay on removing the background stuff!

Gotta go...HAGD everyone.

Good Morning everyone! I slept in this morning until almost 8am!! It is a frosty chilly morning and the heat pump is having a hard time getting the house warmed up. I have the little electric fireplace going in the kitchen and the real fireplace is on in the living room, but still the heat pump hasn't shut off since I got up. DH is at work and it will be a quiet morning here, so I hope to finally sit down and start scrapping a page today. Tomorrow is a Dentist appointment for cleaning and Wednesday is hiking day, so hopefully the sun will be out and I can get to that. It will be good to see my hiking buddies again. Have been chatting with Heather this morning and now finally back to finishing this post. She has started a course that she has wanted to do for a few years now. Doing medical transcription, learning medical terminology and doing medical ordering. @bcgal00 I know that you were a transcriptionist, would you happen to have this book?? "The language of medicine" 12th edition by Davi Ellen Chabner?? I guess she needs it for the course and it is very expensive, but perhaps a used one would not be so bad?? I would be happy to pay and pay for shipping as well. Anyway that is a job for me today to see if I can find this book on Marketplace, its always something!!

Other than that, I didn't do much of anything else. I placed my grocery order and that was about it. I need to start counting down the days until Spring. maybe that will keep me more engaged with planning ahead. Planning "what," you ask?

Yes, counting down the days until spring is what I am now doing also! We have to start getting some quotes for the repair jobs on our decks and that needs to get done quickly as it might take months before anyone can come and fix them. Cleaning out the laundry room does not sound like a fun job and neither does the dentist appointment LOL. I need to get some fresh paint and touch up the kitchen cupboards, but that is the biggest project that I have planned for the near future. It's too damp and chilly to do anything outside yet, so its inside jobs for me. Hope you find something fun to do over the coming weeks! Sounds like your job is still going well and you are having fun with it! That's awesome!

How nice of you to pick up a few things for Ilene, sorry church was cancelled, but a good idea if the weather is questionable! Hopefully you are feeling better and the windows meeting will happen tomorrow.

Ugh I have to go to the Dentist tomorrow, but only a cleaning so that is ok. I still hate going though, they always hit a nerve during cleaning and I almost jump right out of the chair. :angry3:Ouch that hurts!!! You do have a very busy week planned!

Great job on the removal of your unwanted items in your photo! I am loving the new removal tool in Photoshop, sorry that you don't have it on your PSE19, but you sure did a great job with the clone stamp, the photo turned out amazing!! Hooray now you can use it on a page!

Your day at home still sounds busy Rae!! I would love to order some new storage bins too, seems you can never have enough! I spent a few hours over the weekend going through a few of my bins and got rid of a bunch of things, so now I can fill them up with new things that I don't need :giggle4:.

Well I better get dressed and get the bed made, then hope to sit and do a page. However there are so many great new things out there how will I ever choose what to use LOL. Have a lovely Monday everyone! :waving3:

Today was sunny and hot, so I managed to make a good dent in the laundry. Other than that, I just spent time with my MIL who is staying here until the weekend. We started watching the old musical movie Camelot - what a complete blast from the past! Poor neighbours with the 2 of us singing along though :floorlaugh:

Nothing exciting planned for tomorrow, just more of the same I suppose. Hubs in working from home so we can't be too boisterous.

HAGD everyone

They decided to cancel the meeting tomorrow. That's OK! The snow really melted in the warmer temps today (low 50s) but that means icy spots in the road tomorrow morning!
