OMG, this is somewhat funny, somewhat horrifying!:eek2:
When I wake up over and over again, those nights I have to tell myself what day it is and what I have going on to re-organize and settle my brain. I did not sleep well last night and each time I woke , I was so confused as to what day it was and each time I remembered it was Monday and *all* I could think was Man, it feels like it should be Wed or Thursday --what a long week already. And it hasn't even gotten started!!!!:yield:

My house is all cleaned, and my mom has cooked up a storm and is bringing a week's/month's/millenium's worth of food over. I had originally asked for her Italian Wedding soup, some Mushroom soup for Gary and Scott and macaroni salad. As I was going over the dinners for the week, I realized that really didn't ask for much. Gary tells me not to worry that it will all work out.
No worries was right! My mom calls, she has the two soups, chicken salad, macaroni salad, brownies, Italian bread, and a quiche. Oh-- and a meatloaf too.....
My family believes that you can cure all of the world's ills by feeding them.:pound:

My mom is the BEST!!!!

I think I am all set, trying hard to not be too nervous. I know its going to hurt (the procedure is done with *no* anesthesia for some reason) and the table I have to lay on is super uncomfortable. TMI alert- its like a massage table, but instead of a hole for your face, there is a hole for your boob. Then the table raises up so the dr is underneath, then they do more mammos to locate the area to biopsied, and then take the samples. But I will take a Xanax right before I go in, so I can chill out. heheh!!

Hope that you all have a terrific day. And I am gonna thank you in advance for your good thoughts b/c I know you will send them, and also to thank you for going on this journey (some of you for the second time *winks) with me.

...and the other horrifying thought... I have to wear a shirt with BUTTONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't pull anything over my head ( they have to ice-pack and bandage me all up like a mummy,we get a really cool, enormous ace bandage out of the deal!) so I have too wear a flannel of Gary's with button.s Ick.

off to get on the shower, but I hope to be back for personals before I leave!!

hugs!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris, lots of good thoughts and prayers and hopes going with you. kick the a## of this test!! do you not like buttoned shirts because of how much it hurts to do the buttons? just think. you'll look very West Coast Seattle in the flannel shirt! (((hugs)))

Laurie! Photos of the cabinets! i get excited by storage stuff!

i'm not ignoring your guys asking what the new GD's name is. i've been told to keep the kids off the internet, so i'm obeying the Powers That Be. bummer. but the trip was fun, though short. at least the trip home yesterday was perfect. sunshine, not many trucks, no rain or fog. i got to see a short film of the oldest Grandman at his violin recital. he has a great bow arm. and i saw a clip of my son telling him that one of his ( oldest Grandman's) Christmas gifts was the 5-gallon emergency water container i bought for my son. it was utter disbelief in the first instant, then a total wailing crying jag. sorry to say, it was pretty funny. almost immediately my son told him that he was just kidding, but Grandman #1 was totally furious at the "joke." our little girl is tiny and cute and very young. not even a month old now. and i keep referring to her as "him." gotta get used to this girl thing!

today, it's grocery shopping and errand-running and some house cleaning. i've already finished one bathroom. now on to the rest.

everybody, have an excellent start to the week! i'll stop by later to see what's up. :becky:

good morning - Chris sending you hugs and good thoughts. Yesterday was nice in that I got in a good walk and my DH cooked. My Devils lost in a SO once again. The weather today should be awesome - sun and temps near 50.

Laurie congrats on getting so organized. I just keep putting it off.

Phylis you poor grandman I am sure he was not amused at all. Glad you had such a good time visiting the new princess.

Have a great day all.

Morning O-zies!!
Chris - You know that I am thinking of you also!! Sending out all kinds of positive vibes and healing power your way!!! You will, like Phylis says, kick this test's ass!! You will fit right in too for your visit to me when you put on your flannel shirt! But if you really want to fit in around the Cowichan Valley you need to have one of these...

for some reason the guys around here live in these friggin things!! It was the item of choice for the logging industry. There is a lady around here that makes beer koozies out of them. Yup we are a bunch of rednecks out here on the West Coast!! :becky:

Laurie - So happy for you that you got your cabinets all finished off the way you wanted!! Hope your day at work goes quickly so you can get home and finish putting everything away!

Phylis - Would have loved to have been there to see the look on your Grandman's face!! Poor little guy though, I bet he was really mad at his Dad for a long while!! I am so glad that you got to visit with your little ones and your sweet little girl!! I bet she is a beauty!! It does take a while to get used to having a little girl around. Now my problem is calling them by the right name, I call little Mason, Isaac all the time!! It does not impress my DD at all LOL. Its bathroom day for me today also , I think I hate that more than dusting!! Hope you get your errands all done today!

Nancy - How nice that the weather is improving for you! DH and I went for a nice long walk yesterday, so good to be in the fresh air!! Sorry that your Devils did not do well in the shoot out again. Enjoy your sunshine and warmer temps today!

Ok I am off to get some breakfast, do some scrapping and if the weather cooperates I will be out for a walk sometime today also. I hope that you all have a great Monday!!

I do believe that I grossly overdid things with my knee yesterday! Ack! It's in a great deal of pain today and I've done my normal every day chores but nothing more. I was squatting down yesterday doing the bathroom floor and that's what did me in. The swelling increased and it's hurting much more but it will all be okay, I started ibuprofen whether I'm supposed to take it or not because at this point it's got to get better! I have to work tomorrow and that's twelve hours up on it! I haven't been at work in two weeks so that should be interesting, haha, hope I remember what to do!

Chris - HUGE hugs to you! Any procedure, easy as it may be, can be scary and not something you look forward to! Hope it's as easy as possible on your body!

Laurie - Yay for cabinets! I love storage space! Makes me happy!

Phylis - How awesome that you got to see that new precious little girl! I love the joke on the grandson! I do stuff like that to my son all the time, cracks me up at his reaction!

Nancy - I need your motivation for a good walk! I really have to get back to that.

Trudy - That's funny about the shirt! Thermals are huge around here! Jacob and Brent both have a ton of them! Of course we live in redneck country usa, hehe!

Heather - That is WAY too cold for me.....brrrrr......glad you're feeling better about this winter! I hate when you get that dreary depressed feeling from the weather!

I'm off to see what I can find to do. Dinner is in the crockpot so I don't need to worry about that. Laundry is calling my name!
