Happy Monday! It is very cold but the sun is out, making the snow in the backyard look somewhat pretty. Nah. I take that back. Snow rarely looks pretty.
Thankfully, we didn't get too much yesterday, only 5" or so. Maybe 6". It was light and fluffy which meant it wasn't too bad to shovel. The hardest part is trying to find places to put it.
Who watched the Super Bowl? We didn't, not even the commercials. I saw the headlines that it was a blowout.
I didn't do too much again yesterday other than puttering. We finished the puzzle, played with the rats. OMG, the rats were hysterical yesterday! The babies were being super friendly which is unusual for them. Little bratty ratties. LOL They were climbing all over us, Livvie kept climbing into the trash can, and Cordelia chewed a hole into the bag of polyfill. They *love* running on the floor more than they did on the old carpet. W is funny running on the floor too- she slides somehow. I made the dogs a big batch of homemade treats and it was strange not having Ray under my feet the entire time. I keep thinking that she is going to be sleeping on her bed but when I go into the room and there is just space, it kind of kicks me in the heart for a sec.
Arlene texted me this morning to let me know that Leah finally got some sleep and to thank Scott for being a good back up for them both emotionally. He told us last night that he felt silly for thanking Arlene for taking care of her, yeah, she is her mom so of course she is, but he appreciates her. Arlene told me how much that meant to her too. Scott has been so worried about her since she had a very low tolerance for pain and this was pretty major work.
Gary freaked me out just now- said that we are getting more snow tomorrow and we might be in the 8-12" band! I am not seeing that on the weather websites, only 1-3" and that is all I am going to believe. *sticks fingers in ears and goes lalalala*
Today I have to finish the grocery order, which means I have to come up with dinner ideas. hmmph! I asked the family last night and they asked for jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks. That's not what I meant!
I'm sure I will be drinking a lot of coffee and tea, it is extremely cold today, right now it is 15* with wind chills down to 4* My feet are frozen solid. (slight exaggeration)
Have a fantastic day!

Luther must be having so much fun in it. Did you get a lot? Good news that DS is doing OK with the new job, the less stress at work is worth the extra time commuting. How is your other DS and his MG doing? Enjoy hockey!
I love poppers and mozza sticks. As for Bailey, she is stable now, thankfully. It will be really good for her to physically get to hang out with Jen soon, have some actual physical contact. It's not good for her to be so isolated from touch.
WHO sent me pouring rain? And it's not funny at all, try to clear all these muddy paws I had to deal with!!! Crap! Probably the snow is melted during delivery as Mother nature gives me raining buckets.
