New week, new start!! Not to mention that February is *already* 25% DONE!! Isn't that a good way to look at it? Felis messaged me and suggested doing a countdown until Spring-- spring is on its way - and I think it is a great idea.
The house was really quiet yesterday which gave me time to catch up on all of the laundry and to finish cleaning out my hard drives. I sucked it up and went through folders of photos from the last 9.5 years. Made sure they were transferred to the new drive and deleted the duplicates. You should be proud of me, there were a few that I wanted to delete from *everywhere* but I didn't. At some point, he/we/me will want to see them and look back in a more positive way.

Scott was out of the house all day, he was volunteering at The Great Swamp (the place where he turned down the job interview) that was holding a maple sap tapping educational session. He was in charge of keeping the fire going. I am really glad he went for a bunch of reasons. 1. It is always better for him to be outdoors and around like-minded/ecology people. 2. The ecology center that he has been with for a few years also does maple sap tapping school tours and he wanted to see if they did anything different/presented it in a better way. 3. He realized that the drive down here was *long.* He admitted that for a PT job, to make that trip would be too much.

I looked at my YouTube History and I found the therapist I was asking about. Therapy in a Nutshell I made sure I was subscribed and will start to listen to them today.
My house was acting up again in the afternoon too. I had to yell at it after it stole a ShopRite Gift card. I placed my grocery order and used a GC. I keep them under the monitor stand until the final payment is placed and if it is out, I cut it up. If there is anything left, I write the balance on it with a Sharpie. I put it under the monitor, fold laundry, come back downstairs 15 minutes later, and the card is gone. I am looking all over for it, on my desk, under my desk, behind my desk, in the garbage, behind the tower, under my chair, under the heating vent, in the drawer where I kept it before I used it. I asked Gary to come down and look for it with me. I finally look behind the two tall spindles of CDs and DVDs on a small shelf *under* the tower shelf. And there it is. Hey, I am happy that I got it back. We have been waiting for Caitlyn's tutu to show up since 2004.

I am planning on doing housecleaning here, the dust is everywhere. But my back is twingy, shoulder too. The cold just makes everything hurt. Bah humbug. grr. grumble.

I am waiting to hear from the County/Electric Company and Gary is waiting to hear from the washing machine tech. Does anyone want to take bets on who hears first? And when?? Today/this month/this year? hahaha!!

Habve a fab day O-zies!!!

I figured out why everything hurts. It is snowing. It wasn't supposed to snow but darn it, it is!! Well, the good news is that no one has to be anywhere this morning, Cait has remote office hours and is on campus at 4 pm.

@LSlycord At least when you ask where did the day go, you actually *went* somewhere haha!!
I saw the pic of the pups together on FB, WTG Slycord Family!!! As always with my advice YMMV, but don't get upset if they backslide on occasion. J and W are inseparable now and whine pathetically at the door when one is at the vet without them.
Hope that you get the Call early today!

@mom2triplets04 I think I have those two kits by Karen. Actually, I think I have the Dec and Jan ones. Her kits are so much fun to work with. I can't wait to see the page you do for Myla.

@taxed4ever still more fog?? ugh. That has to make everything feel so claustrophobic. I hope that the sun is out today. That is so sweet of you to bring that food to the ILs and I am sure that she appreciates it so much. But what's wrong with *my* family? My 80 yo mom is cooking food and being it to me, her lovely but only 53 yo DD? (I know, it makes her happy and feel useful so it is a win-win for both of us)
Deer and bear make a big enough of a mess around here but elk? Gorgeous but I would guess it would be like hitting a brick wall. Do you have moose by you too? They are a lot bigger than elk? I saw some video of a moose running through the snow, wow, they can boogie. I will take a black bear in my yard over a moose.

Laura, this time of year it is so hard to lose weight, maybe in another month or so it will come off a lot quicker when the weather is better. How awesome to find bubbles in a kit you had!

@BrightEyes Is that kit Dreams the one is the last issue of the HAPS, with the deep blue flowers? If it is, I can see why you loved it. I am going to have to stalk your gallery in a few.
That is a special memory to have of the family pictures and to have everyone literally on the same page-- priceless!
*sobs with my nose pressed to the frozen window watching the snow fall* I thought that we were supposed to get above freezing today.
I am so happy for you- 50* will feel incredible. TY for saying that I am a good cheerleader to you all. I mean everything I say, truly. (I wish I could cheerlead for myself a bit more effectively but I am getting better)
Man, I wish I had your freezer full of yummy food LOL!

@bcgal00 That is very encouraging to have someone bring in an inspector already! So many good selling vibes to you guys! Show me BIG MONEY!!!! :D

@Cherylndesigns Ugh about the ice by you- my dogs are sliding all over the "lawn" since it is just a chunk of solid ice. I am worried about J, between the cone and her "bionic" knee, the last thing I need is for her to slip and twist wrong. Actually, the last thing I really need is for me to try to get to her on the ice and for *me* to slip and twist wrong hahaha!!
Yeah, I am not a fan of Walmart either- the closest one is about a half-hour away which makes it easier to point/click/ship on amazon. I am cheering you on for not ordering anything from them if you can. *high 5*
Oh no, that isn't good about your shoulder. I see why you *insisted* that you were keeping that halter no matter what. Glad you have it and hopefully, you won't need to wear it for very long.

My house is still very quiet, everyone is asleep but I guess I need to get my own day started.
HAGD!!

Good morning. I think a countdown to Spring is just perfect. As a matter of fact, I may add the spring date on my paper chain! I know that I haven't had it nearly as bad as most of you, but I am sick of the gray, damp days. I need some sunshine! Didn't accomplish much yesterday. Going to try to do more today. ;)

I took Hayden back to the vet for an ear check. Boy, vet visits are pricey. But I'm preaching to the choir here aren't I? And I got the official offer for the job...they want me to start on 2/21...I thought that they'd wait one more week but I'm excited so I'm ready. As long as they can get background checks and drug tests through in that time, we are good to go!

So, let me get some personals done before I try to accomplish too much.

@faerywings Thanks for the reminder that there will be setbacks. Because I'm sure that there will be. I must admit that I'm happy that we are far enough along that we can have setbacks and not feel that Decker needs to go back to the kennel. Glad that everyone can stay home today...that was the thing that pushed me over the edge...driving in snow and ice. I just decided that I couldn't do it any longer. And I would have loved to have attended the maple sap tapping event. Very cool that Scott knows about that and wants to find out more. He's going to make a great park ranger/nature person! Just needs the right job to open up...although the fulltime hours this summer will be great.

@BrightEyes I love that you found those family photos by accident. Those are the BEST surprises...especially since you could do some photo editing. And I loved what you did with the DREAMS kit...that layout is stunning! And there is really so much of this area that we need to explore---more time in Jacksonville, more time in St. Augustine---there is an incredible amount of history here.

@bcgal00 it sounds like you should be getting some great offers. Especially if they are already having an inspector look at the property...they must be serious! My fingers are crossed for good news!

@Cherylndesigns I laughed so hard about Chuck having his own Prime membership. That sounds like something that would happen at our house. Glad you chose to stay in...walking on ice is not a good idea when it can be avoided. I learned that the hard way more than once.

@mom2triplets04 are your kids seniors this year or juniors? My 04 girl is a senior so we are doing the whole college thing right now. Every school that we have heard from has accepted her but there are still two that we are waiting on. They both announce everyone on the same day. FSU announces on 2/17 and UF announces on 2/24. So we wait! (Which it seems like we have been doing for a very long time.)

Good Morning all... its actually a sunny day here so far. I hope to get out for a bit of a walk this afternoon. Other than that not much happening here today. I need to clean the bathrooms, because those did not get done yesterday. DH is back to work and the house is quiet. I will enjoy the next few days of quiet time until Friday when my Gary has taken another day off of work. He needs to use up a bunch of days before he losses them. Yesterday we put our old patio set for up for sale and you would not believe how many people wanted it!! We should have asked for way more $$ LOL. My phone blew up with all of the interested buyers, there were at least 55 different potential buyers. I sold it in like 2 mins when someone said they would e-transfer the money right away. So today they are picking it up and I need to get ready soon as they will be here shortly. I have spent the last hour and a half on face time with Heather as she told me all about her weekend. So now I am running behind and need to get into the shower and dressed before these people show up! I will try to get back here later on to catch up on personals. I hope you all have a lovely Monday! TTYL!

@LSlycord my triplets are seniors and yup it's crazy with the amount of college things we are getting in the mail. We are mainly focusing on NJ and PA. Don't know where they will go though. 2 of mine know what they want to do and one is undecided. We just finished filling out the fed thing for financial aid but doubt we will get anything. Maybe scholarships.

Good afternoon! Happy Manic Monday - I don't know why but that song has been running through my head all day. LOL It's 52 right now and very sunny. Our snow is all gone - tomorrow is supposed to be 65! The rest of the week is kind of up and down, but not terribly cold. I'm hoping I can walk tomorrow. From our house up to Adrienne's is very rocky, even on the road. Chuck suggested that I drive up to her house, park and walk around the bend to Ava's house and back. I've done it on the day before it snowed. That part of the road is fairly smooth and it uphill, which gives me more of a workout. I didn't mind walking on the rocks before, but since I broke my collarbone, I'm paranoid about falling! it really messes with your head (and whatever you broke) - BWAHAHA

Chris @faerywings I thought you were secretly blaming Braxton or friends for your disappearing stuff. Are you sure one of them doesn't have Cait's tutu??? Those crazy skeletons! You never know what they might do. Scott sounds just like Ava's boyfriend, Ryan. He's a total outdoorsman and is trying to get a job as the superintendent at the Cherokee Scout Camp. I'm not sure if I told you guys that or not. That's so interesting about the sap tapping - I've read so much about that but never knew anybody who actually did it. Ava loves being outside, too - even in the coldest weather - they're a good pair. She was trying to send you a friend request on FB - did you get it? I just love this latest picture she sent me. They look alike - at least, Ryan looks just like Braden. Hahaha

AVA-AND-RYAN-IN-WOODS.jpg

Linda @LSlycord congrats on the new job - I hope it's exactly what you want! Oh, you might not get past the background and drug test. BWAHAHA Sorry, I just can't resist. As If............................ Glad you got a good laugh over Chuck having his own Prime. I was NOT amused! He's such a "mess" - likes to do his own thing. He orders WAY more stuff than I do - I created a monster. Now, Adrienne has Prime - she used to use mine, and finally got her own. Ava's had it forever - between all of us, we have something delivered every day. I'm sticking to my guns about not ordering for a month. I have to sit on my hands sometimes - Chris @faerywings too. Can't you just see me doing that????? All I have to do is think of that rocket going up in space - that WE paid for. GRRRRRRR

Linda @LSlycord you had me LOLing about making a spring countdown chain. You and your chains, girl. BWAHAHA And, yes, pets are expensive. They're a financial obligation to take on - my youngest wants a cat and I keep telling her that she probably really doesn't - she doesn't have a ton of extra money and it's always something - even with food and litter, if you luck out and get a healthy one.

Trudy @taxed4ever that's crazy that you had that many people interested that fast! Ava buys and sells stuff on FB Marketplace all the time and it's crazy! She says that people will literally buy anything. Glad you got buyers. Enjoy your peace and quiet while you can.

Laura @mom2triplets04 it must be totally crazy (but fun) to have 3 kids in their senior year! That's a crazy busy time for ONE kid. I only personally knew 1 set of triplets - they all went to school when I did - were all girls and all looked very much alike. We had a few twins, who also looked alike, but only one set of triplets. That must keep you extremely busy.

I hope you all have a great Monday evening. Hugs to all.

Chris @faerywings I thought of you all the time I worked on my AnnaLift, so this is for you!

We had sun this morning and DH had no trouble backing the car out between our snow walls to go to H&S. We did groceries and a brief trip through Lake View where we were delighted that a Merlin flew in while we watched and perched. They are small falcons that did not occur here except as migrants until fairly recently. Now they hang out, or at least roost for the night, in various cemeteries with their nice evergreen trees. It would be fun to have Scott here and see what he'd do with the bird world.

I've spent way too much time scrapping and need to get busy with things here. Wish we had that waving emoji!!!

@Cherylndesigns I think toddler triplets were more work then teenager triplets. Now, it's just different stuff (more expensive and more worries) as they all 3 are driving but sharing one car. College is another story. We are trying to get them to go to one school but don't know if that will be the best solution. All 3 are totally different and look different. I have 2 girls and a boy.
