Good morning to ya, everyone up and about on Post Super Bowl Sunday? I went to bed right after the 109 yd return. Looks like I missed all of the excitement and commercials of the second half. Oh well. Clips of commercials are online.
Were there any commercials that you really liked? My FB feed seems to suggest the Clydesdale Commercial was the best/most commented on. And we all know how scientific that is. LOL I wasn't impressed by too many of them from the 1st half. And I must be old because I don't "get" Beyonce's music.

This week is going to be a busy one. I am cleaning 4 days this week and babysitting plus the usual crud here. But the great news is that I redeemed my Christmas gift this week. Do you remember when Gary and the kids gave me a week off of houseowrk for my b-day? Its quite ok if you don't. I asked for that again for Christmas, so for this week, I don't have to do laundry, cook, clean, set the table etc. Its going to make the week so much better. I still have to do some stuff- like scoop the litter boxes because if it doesn't get done daily, it gets messier than usual. And I will do the food shopping because, well, frankly, I don't trust them. I want food, not gum. LOL

I am going to sit on my butt and watch from afar when they three of them are cooking dinner!!!!!

Nancy- have you seen the weather forecast for NJ this week? I know you might get different than us- but possibilities of snow Tues, Wed and Friday. Noooooooooooooo!!!!! They all look like monor events so far, but dang I am sick of it. :smow:

Trudy- so exciting to be sending stuff to your DD! How is she feeling with the pregnancy? How far along is she now? About half way? Little more?
((((((((hugs))))))) for the story about your mom and the ring. I cannot imagine how scary it must to know you are getting dementia. Thank goodness she was able to share some of these special things and moments with you.

Nana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a date night!!!!!! How was it, was it wonderful to be able to eat a meal together and not being interrupted by "I want more juice" "S/he is making faces at me!" LOL
Did Mike make it through ok too, hope you didn;t have to prop him up in his chair so he wouldn't fall over.

Sandra!!!! So good to see you here!!!!

laurie and phyllis- hahahahah!! yes, that is cute, and that we know exactly what Laurie meant! The weird things we scrappers do!

P- Cait asked if her dad was going to help paint with us. I practically jumped out of my skin. No no no! Gary does not paint, he makes a mess. I'd much rather do it myself!

i can't believe it!! i wake up this morning and hear that we're getting another 4-6" of snow!! i have to drive in to the city for a doctor's appointment!! CRAP!!! i think weathermen should be sued. i go to bed with snow flurries in the forecast, and wake up to THIS! CRAP!! :rant: :rant:

OK. end of rant. Chris, what a great gift! enjoy your day of being A GUY! sounds like Heaven.

Morning O fam- I just finished my workout and now that I am consistent with that, I am going to concentrate on bootcamp am/pm checklist this week. I have decided to add another level because I am not getting the results I deserve. So today should be a jam packed day at work. To set my mind straight, I am planning on needing to stay late to get my work done from today. However like Phylis we are going to get snow, so that may cause some cancels. Okay off to finish my morning before work stuff!

Morning ladies... Ugghh 5am wake up :mmph: But its a new week and today is my only full day of work, so life is good!!

Chris - Wow busy week for you! Good idea to cash in your Christmas gift this week! You should scrap a page about watching your family do the cooking and cleaning for Selena's fun challenge on housework!!! The layouts that are being made are fabulous!! Yes it was nice to send stuff to DD! (except the cost!) She is just over half way there and is getting a bit nervous, I told her that they really need to go to lamaze classes together and perhaps that will help her out a bit?? My favourite Super Bowl commercials were the Volkswagen one and the Samsung one. That is after the Budwieser commercial, they are always the best!!

Phylis - Can you change your dr's appt without having to wait another 6 months or so to get back in?, or is it something that you need to deal with right now? Dam weather!! If you do go, please drive carefully! Watch out for the other guys!! Hope your weatherman is wrong!!! Ours always is! I think that you have had enough :smow: to last for a while!!

Laurie- Yikes even more exercise then what you do already?? Well I guess sometimes it takes a little change to make the difference right? Hope that your day goes by smoothly and you get all caught up with your work!

Well.....last night was a bust....poor Mike got himself ready....but when he came down the hall and very weakly said "I am ready whenever you are"...he was as pale as a ghost....I couldn't make him.......so we just sat and enjoyed the quiet and talked a bit...then he rode with me to go pick up a fried chicken salad to eat for dinner....Zaxby's had the best ones!!! Afterwards we went to pick up Cameran, so we could sleep in late today.....since there was no school Sharon would have brought him at 7:30....instead...he spent the night and we slept in until 9 this morning....I will go pick up Jesse and Jaiden around 1 or 2.....Mom said they were AWESOME for her last night...YAY!!!!

Mom feels like she has done her last "hoorah" for me for a while....she is having her cataracts removed...one this week and the other in two weeks. Geeeez...that's what she worries about when she is having this done to herself ~shakes head~ I just love her to pieces!!!! Most selfless person I will ever know and my Dad as well!!!!


Well....guess I will clean up a little...fold some clothes...and just drink coffee and maybe scrap something today....tomorrow when the kids are off to school, I am going to try to get an early start on my spring cleaning...starting with my KITCHEN!!!! I want to be done with everything except windows so I can do them as soon as it warms up.....I didn't get to them last year and they are in need!!!!

Well it's been an interesting weekend.

The weather was just beautiful for golf! High in the upper 70's. I detailed my car this weekend. Inside and out. It looks gorgeous! Golfed on Saturday. Errands. Visit with my mother.

Late yesterday afternoon I got the dreaded phone call from our son. "mom, my car is totaled." Thank God he was not in the car. He had loaned his car to two of his friends. They had a roll over car accident. One kid is ok. The other has a broken neck and several major lacerations. Lesson learned for my son---don't loan your car out. Now he is going to have to get a new vehicle---this time not on mom and dad. So this week--we will be trying to sort through all the insurance stuff trying to get a settlement on the car and shopping for a car/truck that he can afford. Ha! He said he would like to get a Ford Raptor truck. I think they run in the $60,000 range. Oh well---he'll soon figure out he can't afford that kind of vehicle on the little bit of money that he makes.

Friday--I received a letter from my son's biological mother. She wants to meet him. I spoke with her a few times over the weekend and told her I would talk with my son. Well--that talk did not go over too good. His initial reaction was "no. I have a mother and father." I was hoping he would have a softer heart and at least talk with her.



Sorry for all of you who are freezing in the snow! Not to rub it in but it is going to be 80 today.

Off to work now.

Chris....I want that gift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want 52 of them!! ound: and don't feel bad about not watching....I didn't watch any of it!! we just don't care that much any more....only unless the Packers are in it.

Phylis....I am the same about the snow....and the STUPID weatherman...the most ignorant/overpaid job in the world....you can do your job WRONG every single day and you get paid a lot of money for it!!! Be careful going to the Dr!!!


Laurie.....always busy!!! I wish you lived close to me...my kiddos sure could use your services...we still have not gotten in with anyone....don't know what to do. They need some services...but because they have medicaid, and the ones that take it are always full

Oh how terrible about your son's car!!!! I hope the one boy heals okay....scary!!!!!!


I understand about the biological stuff....my ex walked out on us when my kids were 3 months and 2 yo....my husband now adopted them....my girls are the complete opposite of each other....one wanted to know who the biological father was and the other never wants to know anything....each child can be so different and you just have to let them make their own decisions. :hug: I know it's must be a difficult situation.
