Good Afternoon!
I've been busy today.....after sleeping in until 8:30!
Placed a grocery order last night for pickup between 10 and 11. They started shopping at 9:30. So I headed out the door to make the church bank deposit, run to the church to check the mailbox (that I forgot to check yesterday.....again!), and on the way back, I was notified that my grocery order was ready! After picking the groceries up, I went to the post office to buy stamps for the church. ($0.73 for each stamp is highway robbery, if you ask me!). Mark sent me a text at 10 while I was out and wanted to go to lunch. I was able to go home and get the groceries put away before heading back out to pick him up. We went to a place called Ranchos. They have good sandwiches, but I usually stick to having a BLT with half and half tea.
Tonight for supper I'm fixing baked potatoes and stuffed green peppers. Mark plans to go to the woods after work since the weather is beautiful today with a high temp in the low to mid 60's. Perfect wood-cutting weather for him.
I need to get some CT work done today! I have no scrapping mojo, but I need to force myself to do something! I'm behind on my daily ATCs, so maybe I will work on those. I haven't even set up my February CT tracking yet!
Had a great weekend with the family. The weather was pretty nice, too! We played lots of games, ate lots of food, shared lots of hugs and kisses.....my kind of family gathering! I wish my deceased hubby could see his beautiful family now!

My sweet friend, Ilene, spent the whole day with us! My family considers her as part of the family!
My son and his wife left Saturday evening to begin their trip home. He had a pickle ball meeting Sunday afternoon that he had to get back for. And since the flooding late last year washed away part if I-40, they had to travel North to go South back to Alabama.
My SIL (the sister of my deceased hubby) left before church yesterday to get home to her animals. She lives in Ohio about 45 minutes from my oldest.
My daughters and their families went to church with Mark and I yesterday. It was nice to have the extra people in our services. After the services, my oldest, Jessica and family, headed North to Ohio. Elisabeth lives about 18 miles from me, so they didn't have far to go. I love spending our last hours in church worshiping together! The perfect end to a wonderful weekend!
And a full weekend makes for an early bedtime. But I stayed up long enough to do some church paperwork and play some Rummikub with my sister.
Now to personals.....
Good thoughts request for Tom, please
You got it!
YAY!
a sparrow (I think). Maybe a wren.
a sparrow will have a bit longer tail feathers, I believe! And a wren's tail feathers are usually standing up!
I wish I had room in my freezer, I would scoop some up and save it.
This reminded me of the year the tornados went through the midwest in 1974. My dad was collecting the softball-sized hail balls and putting them into the freezer.......until the tornado came over the hill behind our house and he had to run for his life!
OK, who is this person wishing for snow?? And where is Faery???
Your family is hysterical!!! I'm glad to hear that you were safe!!
I hope that time flies and June will be here quickly for the next gathering. They always seem like so much fun!
Yes, we have a lot of fun and laughs! Our gatherings are too few and far between!
Some people (they didn't even ask if the seats were taken) sat at our table while our friends were getting drinks...when our friends got back to claim their seats the woman was so mad that she had to leave that she kicked the table and pouted for a long time...why do people have to be that way???
All people think about is themselves, Debby! They don't care about anyone else! I'm glad she wasn't carrying a gun!
All this talk about birds I have 4 feeders for songbirds that I use black oil sunflower seeds in and feed the ducks etc cracked corn twice a day. I love the idea of a camera on the feeder.
I love watching the birds! I might have to invest in one of these camera feeders! I have 2 feeders, a suet cage and a butter feeder. I even have mocking birds and thrashers feeding, especially when I have a column of feed hanging! They wipe it out pretty quickly! Speaking of which.....I need to place another order from Wild Birds Unlimited......
Car is in the shop (again) and hopefully this time (4th) they have all the parts and can actually fix the sunroof!
Guess what.....we have to take mine back to the shop tonight. Engine light was off longer this time, but came back on a day and a half after we got it back! I hope the 4th time is a charm for you and the umpteenth time is a charm for us!
listening about State Procurement processes.
talk about boring! How do you even stay awake?!
Our first snow of winter and its still coming down.
WOW! I can't believe it is your first snow! I love watching it come down! But after I get pictures, I love watching it melt away, too!
-25 wind chill of -35 (-31F)
Oh, man! That hurts just thinking about it! You know, one of those COVID face shields might be beneficial in those winds!
Today I'll get some CT work done
Boy, I need to do the same! But I have no mojo!
So glad to hear you are feeling better, Kay! Now, will you send me some of your scrapping mojo and cleaning mojo?! JK!
What is that?????
I get paid with a free popcorn and soda at the concession stand.
One each per game, I hope!
The current boys coach is an alumnus of the school. It's really cool to see alumni coming back and helping the school grow.
That is so neat! Love to hear about alumni coming back to their schools and working!
OK, that's it for me. Need to try to get some scrapping done! I'm not crazy about the CP colors, but I need to try to work with some of it! Maybe try them on my ATCs.
Have a great afternoon!
