hello, my O-Fam! I hope no one is having any Monday Blues or Post Super Bowl Hangovers ;)
Not me. Mondays aren't much different than Sundays and I don't watch NFL at all. The only thing that has me sort of rattled is that I messed up the times in my head for my Drs appts today and tomorrow. I thought my appt today was at 10.30 but it is at 10. I have to make sure that I leave at 9 instead of 9.30 that I had been reminding myself about. Tomorrow's appt is at 10.30. This is why I always make sure that I leave with a card.

Does anyone want to take bets if I cleaned out my closet yesterday? Cuz I didn't. Not much of a surprise there. I spent most of my day looking for dinner ideas. My goodness, it should not be this hard!

I am going to be visiting my parents after the Dr today and we are going to go to lunch. That should be nice (as long as they don't bicker).

xoxoxo!!

Nancy- Good for you- what a great step day! Hope you aren't too sore today. That sounds like a really lovely tribute for Petr Sykora. I am old enough to remember security wanting me to take a roll of film out of my camera at a Bryan Adams concert. Did they really think that I was going to get a good photo all the way up in the nosebleed seats? haha! Sounds silly that security would tell you not to take photos in a public area.
Thank you for the congrats to Cait.

Felis- I am so happy that you had a good day with your family. And of course your cats! It is a fantastic feeling when the sun is warm and makes you think of spring and gardens. I hope that you get some rain or snow so you don't have any drought concerns.
I honestly don't know if Scott could pass Lyme to Leah if he has been treated successfully since no one seems to know if it ever fully eradicated from the body. I would think that it would only pass if "active" and in spirochetal form (the Lyme bacteria has three forms and I don't think that cell-wall deficient and definitely not cyst form would be able to pass to her). I know that this has been a concern for both of my kids and is a factor why neither of them wants kids.

Kay-Wow!!!! That is a good night's sleep! It is always nicer to do errands when you aren't going from a hot store to cold air again and again.
Do you have a link to your enchilada sauce? I saw a recipe for chicken enchiladas and was thinking I could make them for me, Gary, and Scott and use fake chicken for Caitlyn. I have never made homemade sauce, only from El Paso in a can.

Again-- thank you also much for the congrats to Cait. I told her and she was very happy.

Good afternoon, girls!
In quite the opposite of yesterday :bump2: today is one of these days when I'm feeling so sleepy, that I do lot of the things on auto pilot.
I'll have to find some academic article that says how using alarm at the morning harms your mind health. It must be a fact, because in nowadays magazines have any kind of research and if you look at the right place everything is proven by some university experiment, even if on other place are proved exactly the oposite teory L O L LOL. However it's sounds logical to be more healthy to wake up without squeeze. In some morning when I'm in very rebel mood I take on dog walk without bra. It's not a big deal when you wear coat, but from the hippies era I'm looking on bra as a form of social oppression. So it's makes me feels a little bit more like I have control on my life not only live it by habit.
Two of my previous posts are for the benefits of dog walks and I believe in that, but at morning is very difficult to stay positive about exercises. Even the dog park is not away from my house, and weather is still nice, but I much prefer to get additional sleep. Here is the benefit of dog, as you can skip yoga without any fears, but I don't want to risk puddle on my carpet, so had to wake up and drag on walk.
So we just made our 'П' shape walk, and I'm always wondering how you call it on english without have this letter, or how you calls the 'Г' shape buildings, or when you realise that this woman is angry because waiting you with hands on 'Ф'? Anyway! We was made the walk we made every day, before even to realise how the whole thing was happened, or why I'm here. I'm told you :pound: it's auto pilot system. Now I'm wondering if that is protection mechanism of the brain or something I have to worry about?!

Chris, I have no good advice about dinner plans, as my family have just few favorite dishes that just make in shuffle order. We don't like experiments. Have fun with your parents! Hope they'll be nice! Yes you are mentioned about the no kids plan, but I have different feeling, as this is decision that only the mother can take, so it's not depends from Scott. Lyme is really scary condition, I won't get tired of repeating how brave and strong are you, dear!

Kay, enchilada sounds delicious.

Trudy, belated birthday wishes for your husband! Wish to him lovely year and I hope you celebrated the whole weekend!

good morning - watched the Super Bowl and it was fun and exciting as these games seem to always be most exciting at the end of the game. The Chiefs pulled the game out. Felt bad for my son's friend as he is a die hard 49er fan. It is good for me because I did not care which team won. I don't get political but this makes me sad - Pres. Trump tweeted his congrats to the Chiefs and the state of Kansas. How can he not know that they are in Missouri? Oh well. Today is watch hockey. Did get more knitting done. Must go to store. We should get warm today mid 50s. The rest of the week will be rain. Sucks.

Chris we should have a nice day today! We had some snow flakes mixed with rain in the afternoon. Good luck at the doctors. And I hate thinking about dinners! Glad the new contacts are better.

Felis glad you are having nice weather and got to get the dog out. We are having a taste of spring today. My Luther is loving being outdoors. And I hate waking up to an alarm. I know that I do not sleep as well when I have the alarm set.

Kay hope you got errands done. Sauce sounds wonderful. And I guess you needed the sleep.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... As per usual I was MIA from here for the whole weekend! Saturday we travelled to Langford to go to Costco, but first had to take a few detours to get there as there was a lot of flooding around the Cowichan Valley!! Some people had to be evacuated from their homes and a local state of emergency was declared for the valley. We got almost 100 mm of rain in one day!! Combined with all the other rainfall that we have been having, the rivers were spilling over and then the high tide, it was just way too much water! I did get my new swim cap, nothing too special, but a very lovely colour of teal blue. A new swimsuit too, boring black, but oh so comfortable! I am looking forward to trying it out tomorrow. Yesterday was DH's birthday, thank you for the nice birthday wishes for him! He was thrilled to hear the nice comments on facebook too! Kind of a special day for his birthday, not only was it Ground Hog Day & Super Bowl Sunday, it was also a Palindrome Day 02022020. We had a nice quiet day of doing some cleaning and making some wings, guacamole and Nachos and Salsa for our Super Bowl supper. I could not have Nachos so I substituted them with Whisps from Costco. :hungry: We really did not care who won, just enjoyed the game and the half-time show! Today I need to get some Valentine Cards made for the grands and then a birthday card for Heather. Her birthday is on the 16th. A bit of vacuuming and the floors could use a wash too.

Chris - Hope you get to your appt. on time. I always need a card to remind me of what time my appts are also. So happy for Cait's great news of being accepted into the Masters Program. But of course we all knew that she would!! You must be so proud of your beautiful daughter!!

Felis - So nice to see you posting here once again!! We have missed you! I have been feeling very sleepy lately too, must be the time of year?? It is so dark and quiet and the bed is so nice and cozy and warm, who wants to get out of bed??? This morning however I was up earlier than usual, the temps have dropped and the heat pump running and running I guess it woke me up :mmph: Oh well, it gives me more time to get things done.LOL.

Nancy - Glad that you enjoyed the Super Bowl game! I think that they should take Trump's phone away from him and not allow him to tweet anything!! He doesn't know that they are in Missouri because he is an idiot!! LOL . Opps did I just say that out loud?? :tape: Hope you don't get too much rain, we are supposed to have a nice sunny morning, but could get some snow this week :mmph: Hope Luther enjoys the warmer temps outside!

Ok off to the shower, then a little something to eat. Tomorrow I have my Dr. appt in the afternoon for my complete medical. I am anxious to find out what my cholesterol levels are at after almost three years of Keto. Have a great day everyone!

nancy-- quick question for you-- do you take NJ Transit trains into Newark to get to the Pru Center? I was talking to my parents and I think they might do better on the train than driving at 8am when the graduate. You think the station is close enough for 2 old people to walk?

Good afternoon, ladies. The morning flew by with chores, desk work and paying bills. Got out in the garden too for a bit to feed the birds/squirrels and enjoyed watching them chase each other in the grass, gobbling up the peanuts I put out.

Saw the pics yesterday of Sumas/Lynden WA with the flooding. They had closed the border to Sumas and not sure about Lynden b/c it looked pretty bad too. Good thing we didn't have to go to the trailer for anything. Not sure if we could have made it with all the road closures. The trailer itself is up the hill so would be ok but down below is all flooded out as are many roads along the way. Crazy weather.

Jen spent most of the wkend with us, we watched movies and hung out Sat and then Sun spent the day with B. Took her out for lunch and went shopping. D stayed home to watch the game and I came home for a late dinner with him.

We talked a lot about plans for our retirement in a few yrs. Things may change in the meantime but the general plan is that J will move with us when we sell the house and will live with us when we move further out and buy another home. We're all ready to move to a quieter area, maybe in the BC interior somewhere, but it will depend on if we can relocate B to a facility there. Its still a few yrs away so we know not to count on anything at this point, so much could change.

Chris - enjoy hanging out with your parents this afternoon.

Trudy - first time getting cholesterol done since keto? I'm curious to hear how yours is too. I'll probably get mine done again in the next yr to see if there are any changes from the initial good result I got after about 6 mths on plan.

Felis - sometimes we just need a little extra sleep but yes, we can't ignore our pets if they need to get out. Taz doesn't let me forget, he stares at me and paws at my leg if I ignore him.

Nancy - we had a good laugh at Trumps blunder too LOL.

I'm getting back to work and am waiting for a call back from Shaw. Nothing important but still, having to wait an hour for a call-back seems too long. Their customer service and in-home service are terrible. Even the tech who was here a few wks ago said it was awful. He's embarrassed when he shows up, knowing how long the customers have waited.

So, back to work I go and wait for the phone to ring....

The weather is forecasting 20 cm (8inches) of snow tonight/tomorrow. Nuts. I was supposed to go into Vancouver to get my fitness level assessed then get my specialized workout routine. I don't do snow driving, I am perfectly able but there are too many stupid drivers with summer tires driving on the freeway in to the city. Plus it will be rush hour on the way home. so I will have to wait and see if snow actually happens.

I got all my lab work done and a date for the nuclear testing for my heart. So looking forward to that.(sarcasm) Oh well at least I will know what the heck is wrong.

Late again today. Been busy all day. Watched the weather forecast and decided I needed to make it to the grocery store today... Snow is forecast to start sometime this evening. Low tomorrow morning is suppose to be 15*F with high only getting into the low 20s. Brrrr.... Today it got up to 60*F but with the wind [45 -55 mph] the wind chill dropped it into the low 40's.

Finally got some milk so now I can have some cereal in the mornings. Got a couple of bags of apples on sale so may make some apple crisp for dessert! And got some ice cream so that would be perfect for a cold evening snack. hahaha

Karen/Kythe, sorry to hear you may not be able to make fitness level check... but I don't blame you for avoiding on driving on snow.

Will try to do more personals tomorrow.
