Happy Leap Day! :bliss:

How is everyone this Monday? Did you stay up late last night watching the Oscars? Not me, I cannot remember the last time I went to a movie in a theater. Maybe one of the Harry Potters, but def. not The Deathly Hallows. I can't really remember the last time we watched any movie, not counting a Disney one. LOL

I think I am about 95% done with the photos. I still have a box of ones that I can't figure out the dates so they will have to either stay in the box unsorted, or maybe I will put then in the box where I think the year that might be closest? Either way, it will be nice to pack up the stuff that has been all over my office and DR for months.

Cait is home sick again. Thank goodness I have the dr's notes for her. Either way, it is so hard not to worry about her. I caught her restricting yesterday. She hadn't eaten until dinner and then could barely finish a tiny bit of her brown rice and broc. I just reached over and held her hand and I hope that little bit of support helped.
It is amazing that I don't have an ulcer with all of the worrying I do. :(

Today is more of the same, finishing up these photos and some CT work. I need my life back. I just don't know which life that is. :help:

Do you do anything silly on leap day? Do you know anyone whose b-day is on Leap day?
No matter what you do, I hope you have fun!

The info in case you were wondering:
Today is Leap Day! Julius Caesar (with help from his astronomer, Sosigenes) added Leap Years to the calendar in 45 BC. They discovered that there are actually 365.2425 days in a year and decided to compensate by adding one extra day to “Februarius” every four years. Under normal circumstances, a date that falls on a Tuesday one year will fall on a Wednesday the next year. However, in a Leap Year we “leap” over one day of the week, which is how this phenomenon got its name.
There are many traditions and superstitions associated with Leap Years and Leap Days. According to an Irish legend, women have the privilege of proposing marriage in a Leap Year, and any man that refuses must offer a gift in recompense. People born on a Leap Day are known as Leaplings or Leapers. Each country has to have a policy about when a February 29th birthday is legally observed in a non-Leap Year!
Leap Day comes around just once every four years, so take some time to celebrate this unique occasion! Share a free Leap Day eCard with friends and family, and watch out for surprise marriage proposals!

Huhn... I never thought about having to legally decide when a Leap b-day would be recognized. I guess when you turn 21 or 65, that would make a difference.

Trudy- hope that yesterday's weather was better than Sat. Yuck to the snow, but that does make it a nice movie/games/popcorn day. Scott and Leah took J for a walk yesterday and she was great. Ray got spooked outside earlier in the day and didn't want to go. But they have such fun personalities- your g-dog sounds like a big mushy goof!

Laurie- Those are really long days. :( Love your Happy Place- it looks so restful and comfy.

Rae- that is wacky about the PVR. We had something go wonky with ours a couple of months ago and it would delete them after 1 week, and we hadn't had a chance to catch up with them and poof, then they were gone.
I am not sure how I feel about Gary Sinese... I loved him in CSI:NY- for a while, then his character became so predictable that it was boring. Maybe he will bring something different to this character.

Gotta get going. Have a fab day!!!!

Good morning - I have been absent but for good reasons. Sat my DH and I spent the day in NYC seeing the musical Beautiful. I knew Carol King the singer but never knew her back story and how many hits she wrote. It's was awesome. And the best part was my DH was not happy about seeing this but he stayed awake the whole time. We then ate at a really good restaurant Italian. Taking the trains makes it so easy. Then on Sunday it was up to the Apple Store and get my new computer. Now I am transferring files to new computer and still has over 12 hrs. So today is laundry and pay bills. Going to do a bit of bragging on Luther. I ordered pizza and when the delivery man showed up I had Luther sit bad stay and he did. I am so happy.

Have a great day.

Good morning, ladies! Busy day ahead for me. My client sent a ton of files over the weekend so my inbox is loaded up and then he'll be sending files for today too. Then I got an email from my dog walking job, asking if I could come today (was going to start tomorrow) as his parents are moving tomorrow and today asked if they could beg off from walking Ava at lunch time. So Taz and I will be popping over there later. I should be able to get everything done but it'll be non-stop all day. At least it stopped raining and hope that holds until after lunch time. Will wear my raincoat just in case. The dog owner is so sweet. He emailed to tell me that he got a neon glow in the dark attachment for Ava's collar, a kong to put peanut butter in, and some other things I suggested.

Chris - I didn't watch the awards either. Hubs and I had a relaxing night catching up on some pvr'd shows and went to bed early. You are such a good mom. Your kids are lucky to have you. Hope Cait feels better soon.

Nancy - that is great about Luther following commands so well. It's easy for them to get distracted as pups so that shows he has great control. So....brag away! Well deserved.

Gotta go, ladies. Have a wonderful day!

Afternoon everyone. So, what's all the big deal on FB and other places about leap year day. Sorry, but for me, it's just another regular work day LOL Actually, kind of running around like a chicken with my head cut off today while I get into mind panic mode with vacation coming up.

:lalala:

I'm totally in denial about my workload right now. I think I'm just burned out and need a break. Of course, I'll be taking the laptop - a necessary evil with my job - but next week is as little work as possible. Australia? Well, that's different, that's like me being home ...

Didn't want the Oscars either. I mean, hello?! The Walking Dead was one. Duh. Toss up next Sunday between TWD and the finale of Downton Abbey (can't possibly get to diametrically opposed genres, huh?! ROFL!) ... I think Downton is going to win.

Finally got some scrapping done over the weekend after a night in DC - our office holiday party. Bill and I called it quits at midnight ... I think the others partied until 2 or 3 am ... and some of them are still feeling it today. *** snicker ***

Hey ladies popping in quickly and sorry not time for personals today! I am very busy doing tons of :washing: clean sheets on the beds for everyone. My son arrives home this evening and will hold supper for him. He called to say that there was a 25 min delay in the flight to Edmonton so he will be a bit later than expected. Want to have the house all nice and clean and beds changed so he won't have to worry about doing it when I leave. DIL won't be home until the 4th she had to fly to Winnipeg for work :mmph: kids won't be happy but what can ya do? :noidea: Man did it turn cold over night, I woke up to the windows all having ice on the inside brrrrr!!! Don't know if I will be able to stand a walk in this cold or not, we will see if it is windy or not. Sun is out and it looks beautiful, but boy is it cold -26C this morning and I think it has warmed up to a balmy -19C now :becky: Tomorrow is my last day here and then I catch the shuttle on Wednesday morning 6am. Will be home for around 3:30 in B.C. I will miss the kids terribly, but man I will not miss this cold dry weather!! Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!! Gotta run :bolt:

watched the awards - only watch videos but love seeing them and of course all the fashion.
