It is the last day of February and there are only 21 Days Left!

This month went way faster than January, didn't it? But dang it has been monotonous for me. Unmotivated to do anything. For real. Just nothing...
I cannot wait for the snow and ice to be melted so I can clean up the twigs and rocks in the yard. The "soil" here is more rock than anything and each winter, more and more get pushed to the surface. I picked them up and keep on building the rock borders along the side of the yard.
My parents were in rare form yesterday *eye roll* Although, Scott said they were just in regular form which is more accurate. They didn't stay more than an hour and all they did was argue. My dad texted later to sort of apologize.

My *big* plan for today is to clean out the fridge and freezer which I am not looking fwd to because it makes me very cold. But it needs to be done, there are way too many things shoved to the back. After I am done, I will work on the food list since I will have a better idea of what I will need. Exciting, eh? :p

have a fab day!!

@mom2triplets04 your poem is heartbreaking. I wish for peace and love to you and your sister. Is your niece in counseling at all? It sounds like she is struggling and (to me) it doesn't seem like her dad is the safest place for her to be. Good thoughts to you all~~

@tanteva It has to be so mindboggling - everything on the world stage is in turmoil and all so quickly. It seems like the EU -- Sweden and Switzerland very notably- are making stands they haven't done before/in a long time. It has to feel like quicksand.

@BrightEyes Thank goodness for a goodnight's sleep for you. The bright sunshine sure does make everything look pretty. 70* is going to be incredible.
Haha!! What you wrote about bread and candy and weight-- I nodded along with all of that :D

@Cherylndesigns I would love to see Daisy's face when Sam whacks her when he is done playing. Of *course* the cat is the boss. Isn't that part of their code? *wink* Sounds like a nice time just wandering a bit with Ava.

@taxed4ever what a wonderful weekend you had- so happy that you had a romantic and delicious dinner. In my experience-- after my kids went through their rebellious teen stages, they went right back to being huggers to me and to the grandparents. Fingers crossed that Isaac is the same

@bcgal00 Congrats on the new car! Have fun driving around today *throws loose change in it for good luck*
Caitlyn bought something from Wayfair, I can't remember if it was her headboard or her vanity. I will ask.

Hugs to you all <3

Good morning, Sweet O's,

I'm up early again (for me) - been cat napping since 6, and finally gave up and got up about 8:30.

Chris @faerywings it's so much fun to see the animals "play/fighting". Sam just lays there with his let stuck out and we know it's coming. Haha I haven't told you girls that I've taught him to ring a bell on my office door when he wants to go out. I got a bit of it on a video the other night. He is really smart. It's so cute. I have a little owl/bell on the doorknob, and he goes over and rings it. Haha

Glad your parents were in "good form" yesterday - that was probably a good visit. Have fun cleaning your fridge today. NOT.

We had family dinner last night at Adrienne's - it was fun and we hadn't been together for dinner for a few weeks because they've all been gone at various times. They're all on keto, so that's what we had. I'm not a big fan, but it looks like that's going to be the fare for awhile. Adrienne did fix a great keto desert though. I was pretty impressed by that. Personally, low carb is much easier for me - I know that's not "cool" now though. LOL Braden got me aside and asked me what Keto was and I said "low carb on crack". I did low carb for more years than I want to admit. Now I just don't eat a whole lot - I've finally found a "diet" that works for me. Portion control works better for me.

Love your cute countdown picture, Chris.

Hugs and love to all to come - maybe I'll try to pop back in later.

Morning everyone! It will be a very cloudy rainy day today! I have already had a quick visit from SIL Linda, she had to drop her boyfriend off at the hospital for some tests and swung over to our place for a quick hello and to pick up her Norwex order. It was a short and sweet visit as he called right after her arrival and was ready to be picked up. Oh well we will catch up another day. Hope that things are ok with him!! I got all my housework and laundry done yesterday and got a page started, but having difficulty finishing it off. Hopefully I will get that done today! Other end of the month things to do also. I filled my very large coffee cup up to the brim this morning, I did not sleep well last night so extra caffeine is much needed this morning! It is much milder temps here, so I don't need to have my warm sweater on this morning! I am ready to kick February out the door and looking forward to seeing the blossoms soon!

@faerywings - Yes February did go much faster than January, but I feel the same way. Not motivated to do too much of anything. I know that if I can finally get back to the pool and continue on with my hiking, my energy will come back to me. Right now I just feel lazy! I need to call the pool today to find out if they got the boiler fixed or not. I am sure it will take a few days for the pool to warm up and I know that they are supposed to have a swim meet very soon. They always lower the water temps for those. I am hoping that you are right and Isaac will go back to being the big cuddle bunny that he was!! Nice that your parents came for the visit, but sorry that all they did was argue. Maybe that is their way of showing love to each other LOL. I don't envy you the job of cleaning out the fridge, but it is a necessary evil I guess. I should really think about doing mine!! Ok I thought about it, nope its not happening!

@Cherylndesigns - Hope you are not feeling as tired as I am this morning, darn I hate it when I have such a crappy sleep!! How fun to have a family dinner together, sorry you are not a Keto fan, but ya some of the desserts are amazing!! I am Keto and will most likely always be. My stomach does not tolerate grains, so staying low carb and Keto is the best thing for me! Hope you have a much better sleep tonight!! Me too!!

@bcgal00 - Rae Congrats on your new vehicle, it sounds very nice!! Hope the new quote comes in way lower than the first one! Your house must be starting to look a lot more empty by now.

@tanteva - I think we are all in shock over what is happening in the Ukraine! We are also sending supplies, but sure hope it doesn't end up that we have to send troops to fight!! :(

Ok off to catch up on my duties here at the O!! Have a great Monday everyone! Do something creative and fun today!

Good morning all! Made it back from the weekend’s adventure. Iowa was cold with snow on the ground. Which was fun for me since I haven’t dealt with it like so many of you. When we returned home at 6:30 last night, we still had temps in the low 80’s. Today is gray and chilly but it is just one day!

We hung out with my nieces and great nephew on Saturday morning, then spent 3 hours at a show choir event. Because of the show choir performances, Syd wasn’t able to hang out with friends although she did get a chance to visit with them for a short while. Then she and I finished with a nice dinner out. I had steak but we laughed because she ordered crab stuffed shrimp in Iowa. She may have converted to a Florida girl.

I will catch up with personals this evening after work. Just wanted to stop in and say hi over lunch!

Good morning ladies. Jen is popping by in a bit and it'll be fun to compare our KIAs. I think they are almost identical except for the color (mine is lighter gray). Off to get a prescription refill later as Walmart messed up the insurance info (again) so I asked for the prescription to be transferred to another pharmacy, I'm sick of them screwing it up. D had to call the insurance company this morning only to find out that Walmart kept trying to put the refill under D's name, not mine, therefore the birth date didn't match up.

More packing today. We will start loading the truck up with stuff for the dump. In exactly one month we will be homeless (for 3 days) and living in a hotel room (again).

We sold a bedroom set and cabinet yesterday. Only a desk, dining room table, 2 cabinets and another bedroom set to get rid of before we move.

Watched a few more episodes of Dexter last night and enjoying it. I'm glad I get to bring my telus PVR when we move so I don't lose all the shows I have recorded, it's half full. I started looking at beach coverups yesterday online. I will enjoy the hot tub and pool but won't be running around the house with a bathing suit on so need a few coverups to wear. I need to start looking at large area rugs too. So much to buy but that's the fun part.

Lots of rain this wk. It really makes me happy to think about leaving this weather behind. I enjoy the dryer cold so much more than warmer damp weather.

I'd better get off the computer soon and start packing. I try to do some for a few hours and then take a lunch break, so I don't stress my back too much. Poor Jen has a torn rotator cuff that was finally pinpointed on scans (she has been complaining for years and they finally figured out why) so her packing is going slow too. But we have a whole month now to get it all done so we'll be busy but should be able to accomplish it (we better b/c we have no choice LOL).

Getting a coffee and getting on with my morning BFN

Hi @bcgal00 I meant to let you know that my DD has bought a few things from Wayfair, a dresser for both herself and Mason and they are really well made! I have purchased a lovely big throw rug for our living room and love, love it!! I think that most of what they sell is pretty well made. Hope you can find what you need and that the packing goes well for you and Jen! Poor Jen she must be in constant pain. Hope she will be able to get some relief for it!

Trudy, @taxed4ever I feel pretty crappy today! I don't do well when my sleep is interrupted. I don't have a thing against Keto - like I said I did the low carb thing for years when it was REALLY almost zero carbs. I DID feel better w/o grains and other things. They've lightened up the limits a LOT - with the "good" carbs and the "bad" carbs. I was just acting silly with Braden about what it was. LOL

Linda @LSlycord welcome home and I'm so glad you had a good weekend and got to see snow. That's enough of it, right??? Hahaha Just "see it" then fly back to Paradise. It's in the 60's here today - going into the 70's this week!! YAY!!!

Rae @bcgal00 good to hear from you and it sounds like you're moving right along.

Wow... it has been a busy, busy day! Did a last minute LO... then got dressed and on the road. Quick stop at Post Office to drop off mail then over to the base to pick up medicine refills. Stopped by the gas station and filled up with gas as it was 40 cents cheaper per gallon there! Yea!!! Then to the commissary to buy groceries. Lot of empty space on shelves (due to supply chain problems) plus prices are really high. Stopped at the accountant's to drop off the tax package... then headed home. Got stuff put away but am worn out now. Stuck the meat into the fridge to wait until tomorrow to repackage it into serving sizes.

@faerywings Talking about candy and sweets yesterday made me hungry. So I made an almond-peach cobbler with almonds/sugar topping last evening. YUMMY!!! I add almond flavoring to the liquid with the peaches and sprinkle sliced almonds and sugar on top of the cobber batter before baking. Haven't made one of them since my niece was here last fall.

Going to nuke a frozen Mega Bowl dinner and have peach cobbler for dessert. LOL I am too tired to cook anything after being on the go all day. Think I might take a short nap before then.

@faerywings yes both nieces are now seeing a therapist. Their dad is a piece of work. He cheated on my sister. After they divorced he married that person. And he's been super mean to my sister. My mom is the one who drops the kids off since my sister can't even be in the same room as him.
