It is Monday and that means #coffee-2
Who I am kidding, every day means coffee.

How was your weekend? My entire weekend was almost too quiet. On one hand, it's nice to be a little lazy. OTOH, too much laziness is boring. I worked on a bunch of projects, in short amounts of time, doing this and that. Scrapped, cleaned out some duplicate photos from my hard drive, crocheted, and found some pictures to organize. Cait and Tom made it home in time for dinner so I made vegan poutine to go with chicken and chick'n nuggets.
I have 12 pages done for Christopher's book and am almost done with #13. If I do 1-2 pages a week between now and needing to order it, I *should* be able to make it. That is a lot of scrapping for me. :/

My plans today are some house cleaning and some desk work while keeping an eye on the weather. Both kids should be off the roads by the time the snow starts to stick. All of the roads they need to take to get home can be nightmares in the bad weather. I bet that the plows/sanders/salters will be out in full force since they haven't had to use much, if any, of their supplies and budgets this season :p
I want to call my parents this morning to make sure that if they need anything today and can't get out, I'll run down.

Guess that's it. I am seriously itching for spring-- Look at my crocuses trying hard to bloom.

@Nonni F How long is it supposed to be so cold? We are supposed to be back in the 40s later this week. I hope that you get there soon. That stinks that you are *still* fighting with your laptop. Show it who is going to win *shakes fist!*

@bcgal00 Remi is the happiest snow-girl, what is she going to do this summer? You are going to have to make ice cubes to throw at her in July :D
Ughhhh, that is a lot of driving to get your Passports. I guess you can't go through the mail if you need them so quickly. Be safe and clear road vibes to you.

@vickyday Those kitchen fairies really let you down, the brats. They are no relation to me, I am on the Faery side. bwahaha!

@Cherylndesigns My family is the same, we have such a hard time behaving out in public. It's a darn good thing I don't have to be out and about very often. It's also a big reason why I was made for teaching PreK- I could be as silly as I wanted to be and it was 100% acceptable in that setting :lol23: My student teaching placements were in PreK and Third Grade. I did not like 3rd grade at all. I liked the kids and I liked teaching them but it was never "me."
Of course, Alyssa loves her Cici. ♥ Just as Ava loves her Icic hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
Are "your Albanians" as sketchy as Scott's were? Ooooh boy, his boss was super-sketch.

Good morning. Quick in and out for me this morning.

Need to get the house "cleaned" for the cleaning lady coming tomorrow. The filing has piled up again in the office so I need to get that done today also. And I didn't get the dogs bathed yesterday. So plenty on the "to do" list. Trying to get my habits so they will match my work hours. That needs some work.

@vickyday I do agree that mixing up the days is a small price to pay for having the freedom of not working. See my above statement.

@faerywings I love the photo of the crocus!!! The dogs love the lick mats. And it really seems to have a calming effect on Hayden which I love. We have done peanut butter two days and this morning we tried some pumpkin. And, when it is cooler, I let the stinky dogs stink until they go to the groomer. But now that it's warmer, they are going outside for baths.

@bcgal00 I'm ALWAYS so glad when my passports are back in my hands. Even more so, when my kids' passports are in my hands. Since their passports prove they are US Citizens, that always makes me really nervous when they are gone. The copies I make and the money I spend tracking their passports is crazy.

@BrightEyes I hope the fact that I haven't seen you in here yet means that you are sleeping later this morning.

HAGD all!

Hey, everyone. Yesterday was not quite as windy as last week's storm but had gusts around 55 mph and winds in the high 40s from around 11 AM until almost sunset. Had a dust storm in town. No snow in town but snowed all around us and traffic/weather advisory for most of the state. Have a break until Wed - then more winds and snow on Thurs morning. Looks like March will come in like a lion!!! Will do the grocery shopping on Friday, I guess.
Looks like I am going to have to wear the right wrist brace at night. Must be sleeping with the hand bent as the wrist is sore when I woke up. I woke up this morning with it bent and tucked under my chin. Ouch!!! I wore the brace all day yesterday and will do the same today. Finished reading both library books so will drop them off tomorrow (library is closed on Monday) and see if I can find a few books to read. Might even make it over to the Meadow Lark Senior Citizen place and check out their library, too.
Need to do a couple loads of laundry today. Going to fix a cheese quesadilla with guacamole for supper tonight.

@faerywings love seeing your crocus budding out. I am sure they will survive being covered with snow for a day or so. I had a bed of them at our house before we got this one. And they survived a few snowy days. So far, we haven't had any sign of buds on the trees or in the flower pots. So glad to hear you are coming along on the pages for Christopher's book. Good luck on sorting out duplicates of photos.

@LSlycord I did wake up early again but was slow getting in here. Yes, getting adjusted back to working routine is good even before the job begins. Hadn't thought about the kids passports proving they are citizens... no wonder you try to keep them up-to-date. :floorlaugh: about you 'cleaning up' before the cleaning lady comes in!!!! :rotfl: Oh, I get it all right... as I used to try to get things put away before the cleaning crew came. Saw the FB photo of Shawn by the pool... looks so much like summer - beautiful! And... you have had the A/C turned on already!!!

The wrist is aching so closing this out. CYL

Good morning, Everyone! Happy Monday.
@faerywings thankfully, these single digit days have only been "single" in occurrence. Yesterday reached 27 and today is supposed to be 34. YAY! Then tomorrow comes another half foot of snow. ...which will totally confuse my roses that had little nubs peeking out of the stalks two weeks ago when it was hitting sixty. CRAZY. Love to see your crocuses peeking out. Thankfully they're usually sturdy enough to handle the snow fall.
@LSlycord sounds like a busy day for you. When you figure out those good habits for going back to work... fill me in. I'm sitting at work thinking of how lazy I was all weekend and how little I got done. LOL
@Cherylndesigns ...families that behave out in public are no fun at all. You go, girl!
@vickyday I want kitchen fairies!!!!

Have a fabulous day, everyone. I leave you with one of my dad's amazing winter photos.

Would it help to throw some plastic over your crocuses, if it actually starts snowing?
So you are making a photo book for your nephew? He is a cutie! I'll have to go back to your gallery and check out all of the pages!

OUCH! I have done the same thing....waking up with the wrist all bent making it ache! Not fun! I think that is one of the reasons I have problems with my thumbs when I crochet.....I've woken with the wrists bent the wrong way too many times!

Happy Monday everyone! Well we survived the weekend. My DH was in heaven using his snowblower all over the neighbourhood. LOL. He even took to SIL Linda's and did her driveway too. Got a txt this morning from our next door neighbours, thanking him for doing their driveway and sidewalk. They were out skiing all day and were so happy to come home late last night and not have to shovel. What a guy my Gary is!! It was our 46th Anniversary yesterday and he even BBQ'd steaks for our dinner last night! I spent the day getting all the indoor cleaning and laundry done. :vacuuming::ironing::mopping:. Today is very cloudy so I am hoping that we do not get anymore snow, but just checked my phone and yes there is a snowfall warning for our area again. :rollingpin1:enough already!! I want spring!!! Not sure if I will make it to the pool today, but if not then I will go tomorrow. Wednesday is supposed to be nice and sunny and warmer so hopefully I will be hiking! Then we are going to dinner with SIL Linda and her guy as it is his birthday. We had a lot of calls yesterday for our Anniversary and it was so nice to talk with everyone and face time with all the kids! Jason and family are back from Cuba, they had a wonderful time and Isaac and Sadie are not too happy to have to get back to school today. They all wish they had their feet in the warm sand still. I can't say as I blame them, it sure beats snow!!

@faerywings - Yup lots of coffee #coffee-2 for me today too! I did not sleep too well and am dragging my butt around this morning! Wow you are doing well with getting Christopher's book done! So glad to hear that the kids should be home before the snow starts! It sounds like your roads are like here, not a fun place to be in the stormy weather! Hope you have a productive day today. Your crocus photo is great, poor things will be covered up with snow soon, but I think they should survive!! They are pretty hardy plants!

@LSlycord - Ha, Ha cleaning up before the cleaning lady comes :giggle4:, that would be me too! Have fun getting your fur babies all nice and washed and smelling better today! At least you can do it outside in the warm weather!

@Noni - Oh that photo is simply amazing! I just love the snowy owls!! We don't see them here, but we had lots of them when we lived in Saskatchewan. I don't miss living there, but I do miss the snowy owls and all of the great friends we met.

@BrightEyes - Ouch, waking up with your arm all sore is no fun at all! Hope that the brace helps when you go to bed tonight! Yes it looks like March will be a lion for sure this year, hope you can get out for groceries, before the next system hits your area!

Waving good morning to everyone else! :waving1 I hope you have a great Monday!

Good Morning!
Yes, it is still morning! I've been busy today! Got up at 9 after going to bed at 2. Didn't even hear DH get up. Not sure I remember him kissing me goodbye, either!

Had a fairly quiet weekend. Yesterday after church we took birthday money to one of the granddaughters and then went jeep hunting.....Mark is still looking for the "perfect" jeep!

Today I have finished cleaning the kitchen (I postponed cleaning that crockpot and pizza pan). Found out the scrubbies I made work pretty well!
I've swept the whole house.
I've emptied all the trash.
I've got laundry running.
And it's leftovers from the weekend for supper tonight!
So, I'm ready to play!

I got the blocking mats and pins yesterday that I ordered for my knitting projects and am anxious to give that a try! So will probably do that later today after I sew buttons on the poncho I made for Ilene's great grandbaby.

I may do some more decluttering around. I also want to go ahead and put up the winter snowmen that I still have sitting around. I doubt that we are going to get any snow the remainder of the winter......however, now that I've said that, I probably jinxed myself, LOL!

DH wanted to go to lunch today but told him I would have to pass. I had some cauliflower pizza (right before bed) last night.....which I knew better than to do.....so my tummy is iffy right now! Shame on me! But, it was SOOOOO good!

OK, that's it for me today!
HAGD all!

Congrats on 46 years for you and DH! My first DH and I made it to 41 years before he passed away. I live on the west mesa (in Rio Rancho right next to Albuquerque, NM). The altitude is 5200' on the mesa and 5000' feet in the valley (Albuquerque). The Sandia Mountain just to the west of town is 10,678′. We don't usually have such high winds... they are from the storm fronts come through.

Sorry you have done the same with your wrist bent. Not fun at all.

5,000 feet is still a pretty good altitude! I've been to some of the mountains in the western part of our state that have that altitude and it always seems to be breezier up there than in the valleys! :heartpumpred:

Good afternoon. Boy, did we miss the tornadoes last night - we must have had them pass over us, because it was pretty bad. The rain was really pelting our house. There must have been hail, too - it was deafening. There were tornadoes over by Tulsa, but they didn't touch down here, I just heard that there were no bad injuries, so that's good. I believe they went over us, though, from the sounds of the storm. It's beautiful and almost 70 degrees this morning.

Chris @faerywings it's so hard for us to behave - I have no doubt that your family has the same problem. It all started with my dad. We used to set together in church and Mom sang in the choir. He was always tickled over something and got us girls to laughing. Talk about the stink eye! She used to get so furious at us. Actually, Alyssa looks more like my mom than any of the other grandkids - hmmmmmmmm. She's the only one who has mom's dimples. There's one picture of "young Mom" and Lyss really looks like her. Mom (or Betts as we dubbed here when we grew up) was a real drill sergeant, like Lyss. She didn't like it when we called her Betts, which made us call her that even more. :rotfl:

Don't worry about your crocus -my aunt's claim to fame was all of her crocuses - they always came up through the snow. They always made it - they're supposed to come up super early. We always knew spring was near when Aunt Martha's snowy front yard became dotted with her crocuses. They're the little harbingers of spring.

Yes, the Albanian's are a" little strange" - Like I said, most of them won't or can't speak English. I'm not sure how she got onto this job, but she makes a lot of money in tips and they love her. All one guy does all day is make bread. He kept bring us bread and more bread. It was quite funny - I mean the bread is delicious, but he was "pushing it". LOL

@Nonni F it's hard for my family to behave - we really try, but it's just so hard. You'll find out that when Alyssa's with us (youngest granddaughter) she's not amused by our shenanigans, which makes us want to act up even more. :giggle4:
She's very easily annoyed, so it doesn't take much. My oldest granddaughter says she came out of the womb mad. :rollingpin1:

Trudy @taxed4ever Happy Anniversary. You're about equal with us. Where do the years go?

I'm going to wrap this us - hugs to everybody and I must get busy - month end stuff and all that.

XOXO

XOXO

Tornadoes are scary! One tore up our house in the 70's. So glad they passed you over!

Love my O Family!
CHEERY O

HAGD all!
